I appreciate the point about investing in a private guide or a group guide to better ensure success! I hadn’t thought of that reasoning but will look into the expense more closely! Hope you get another opportunity.
Mt Washington was your FIRST winter summit attempt?? Wow lol. Id def reccomend getting some other peaks under your belt first in winter before Washington.
Awesome experience!! Uma pena terem colocado você num grupo tão díspar. Mas tenho certeza que a experiência foi incrível. Só as estradas pras white mountains já são formidáveis. Boa sorte da próxima vez! PS. Excelente video cara! 👏🏻
Thanks for the video. Very interesting and help me a lot for my own preparation. 3 questions : What is the easiest way ? Tuckerman's Ravine (East) or Amoomosac Ravine (West) ? How much time to get to the summit, average? Is there potentially ice climbing parts ? Thanks for sharing man!
Thomas: you can't. The train goes over very deep valleys. If a train come near Jacobs Ladder you will have to....well...jump or get squashed. Most of those trails are well marked but you do have a good point about above tree line in winter. Those cairns can save you. And there is nothing wrong with not summiting if it means saving your butt. :-)
I'm getting ready to attempt Mt Washington next month! Appreciate your advice.
If you hire a guide, whether for rock or ice or mountaineering, it’s often recommended to go 1:1. You’ll get so much more for you money and time.
Went up and down vi Lion Head a few weeks ago. It was awesome to watch the skiers in the bowl:) Great advice in the video!

Such a shame you did not make it to the summit :/ but other chances are coming. Te amo!
Yes, Mt. Washington will always be there :)
Bummer. Hope you get it done this winter! I'm planning on going in late February and your video was very helpful.
Good luck there, it’s really awesome and I hope you enjoy it!
