I used to take my car to the Acura dealership for $50 which includes a car wash and free amenities inside the waiting room. I didn't like the oil they use so I decided to do it myself. Use Mobile 1 before and then switched to Pennzoil and never looked back.
To be honest I don't really track the mileage in between oil changes from the oil life indicator. I usually check the color of the oil in the dip stick to get a true indication of when to change my oil. I will do it next time to see how many miles I'm getting before getting an oil change.
The oil pan is slightly toward the passenger side but because the way I had the car parked I couldn't jacked it up from the passenger side unless I parked the car the other way.
After you reset the oil life time the system shows the new time life or it takes a period of time to appear? I just brought an Honda Accord and put a new oil and filter but after that the life time don't appear anymore. I don't know if the mechanical did anything wrong or if the system of the vehicle need a time to shows the new life time.
Do you have to have a specific oil Ik it takes what it takes but was 120 for an oil change wondering how much the oil is I do my truck for about 30 dollars
I use Pennzoil for all of the cars on my TH-cam channel because of the quality, performance and price. Pennzoil will run you from $22 to 27 dollars. Try it out and see for yourself. You can't go wrong!
Mobil 1 back in the days was a great oil but since they changed suppliers thier oil is not top notch like before and it's quality is comparable to brands at a much lower cost like Supertech or Amazon basics. For the same amount of money you're spending on Mobil 1 I would rather get Pennzoil instead. It's a proven oil and it came in second place just slightly behind Amsoil in some oil tests and Amsoil is like doubled the price of Pennzoil.
I use it on all of my family vehicles. For the price and performance you can't beat it. For example my nephew has a 2008 Infiniti G35 and it's notorious for burning oil even using Mobil 1. Since I did some research and used Pennzoil, no more oil burns and 4.3 quarts of oil comes out as opposed to 3 quarts of Mobil 1 lol.
5 quarts is recommended for v6 only. For this model the 1.5 liter turbo is recommended 3.7 quarts of oil. Over filling the engine with oil can potentially damage your engine.
Good video. Very slow and deliberate speaking so easy to understand Thanks
Appreciate the comment. Thanks for watching!!!
That oil flow was satisfying lol
Very helpful thank you
Nice, make sure to use a jack stand instead of a floor jack. Safety first
Thanks! I forgot to place one under the front of the car.
As long as youre still alive lol @@BayViewz
@@Striker50_ no doubt lol!!!

Nice video!! Curious approximately How many miles does the “100%” oil life indicator end up being, between changes?

@@BayViewz go
I’ve had my 2019 sport for 4-5 years and I let the computer tell me. It runs anywhere from 9000-10000 before it recommends a change
@@BayViewz Are you for real? No miles, no operating hours tracked? Just color? this is something new.
Great explanation
Good video
Thank you
Isn’t the oil on the passenger side tho? Why would you jack up the driver side. Serious question

اذا كانت علبة زيت المحرك تحتوي على لتر كامل كم اضع علبه مع الفلتر ؟ 💐

Look in the manual book it will explain the procedure to reset the oil life. Hope this helps.
I forgot to reset maintenance light

I also think the engine is kinda loud is that because of the turbo ?
I've noticed that too. These 1.5 turbo engine are known to have oil dilution also. A design flaw by Honda engineers smh.
I hate the dipstick on this model. Very very hard to see the oil with that orange tip on the stick
Anyway you can sway it out with the older Accord dip stick?
what do you think about the oil Mobil 1 full synthetic 0w-20 ?

Hello, what size was that oil filter socket?
Should be a 65 mm socket wrench.
Does this one have oil dilution problem?
This one in particular so far so good. But this is the model that has oil dilution 1.5 liter turbo.
Is this a sport 1.5liter turbo
Yes it is!!!
I don't see an oil check level
Look for the orange dipstick to the left behind your passenger side headlight.
Is this oil better than honda oil?
Through my experiences, yes this is better than Honda oil.
Hi . Do you still use Pennzoil platinum ? How do you like it ?
