Trains at Finsbury Park, ECML - 6/11/18

Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Finsbury Park located on the East Coast Main Line where services are seen by Great Northern, Thameslink, London North Eastern Railway, Grand Central and Hull Trains.
This was an exceptionally good station to return to for the second time, Finsbury Park is only a short hop away from Kings Cross and is the junction for the direct link to St Pancras and for Moorgate too. This station has changed massively with GTR (Thameslink) operating cross city services into Cambridge and Peterborough as well as into Kings Cross. The thing that impressed me the most was the passing services and the thrash of the diesel trains that left. Certainly a station that is amazing and one in suburban London which amazes me the most, I would highly recommend a visit to Finsbury Park.

Grrrr I hate 700s. Great video Kieran. I want to go there when I got to London next. So glad those crappy 313s are gone.

313 trains are so dreadful the liverly of that train were old. But great video anyway watch for 313s they need a wash lol 717 is so beautiful and clean.

Great video, those 700s accelerate rapidly. How close is this station to KX as the trains aren’t going at top speed?

180s, 185s, 220s, 221s, 222s and Ultra73s all have "smelly" Cummins QSK19 engines :-P

I agree with you on the 313s. It’s like the EMU version of a Pacer, they’re just horrible in every way possible in my opinion
