Cheese BulDak 치즈불닭
Serving Size: 2 to 4 Adults
2.5 lbs Chicken thigh meat marinated in BulDak marinade
3 Small/Medium Potatoes (cut into big chunks in similar size)
Scallions (finely chopped)
1 Carrot stick (cut into chunks, similar in size)
1 Jalapeno pepper (remove inner core/seeds and cut into thin slices) - If you prefer to make it "standard" spicy, do not add
2 Garlic cloves (finely minced)
Tteok (Korean Rice Cakes) - Dozen Pieces
1.5 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 Mirin
1/2 Tbsp Beef Dashida Korean Beef Bouillon Powder
Kosher Salt To Taste
Black pepper 1/8 Tsp
Chili Threads (garnishing)
Spicy Marinade For Chicken
2 Tbsp GoChuJang Korean Red Pepper Paste
2 Tbsp Mirin
1 Tbsp GoChuGaRu Korean Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper, if you prefer to make it "standard" spicy, do not add
1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp DoenJang Soybean Paste
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Soy Sauce
1 Fresh Ginger (puree)
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Chicken Broth
6 Chicken thigh bones (use any chicken bones)
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
2 Pinches Dried Oregano
Kosher Salt 3 big Pinches
Black pepper 1/8 Tsp

8 Cups Water (2 Cups of this chicken is required for BulDak recipe
6 Roasted Chicken thigh bones
1 Carrot Stick
1 Scallion
1 Thick slice of Korean Radish,1/3" thick, cut into 4 pieces

1/4 Medium Onion

Thank you for providing so much detail in your videos -- they are really next level. As for this dish, to me it looks more like 매운 찜닭 than 불닭.
Hi El Pecee👋. Thanks for watching and for ur comment🙏. Perhaps, it may seem that way to u. There r similarities between Spicy Chicken Stew/매운찜닭 and Bul/FireDak/불닭 in that they r both spicy stewed/braised chicken. What sets 불닭 apart is its level of spiciness, making it spicier than ‘normal’ and typically with melted mozzarella cheese on top, unlike 매운찜닭. And 매운찜닭 has a bit less liquid/sauce compared to BulDak (usually a thicker sauce than BulDak.). 불닭 is more of a trendy dish made to be very spicy and also fusion-style with melted mozzarella cheese on top. My Korean parents and grandparents would not be interested in eating any Korean dish with melted cheese😂. BUT my Korean cousins, nieces, and nephews completely love spicy Korean dishes that incorporate melted cheese😉

Tteok is Korean rice ‘pasta’ that is cooked (flour rice with water, steamed) and made into chewy texture. There r many variations of tteok. Here is my TteokBokki recipe that u might enjoy

Either works (coarse or fine ground) OR u can do half/half

I cleared my cache/cookies on Chrome/Safari and the blurry problem went away. I use 4K camera and I double checked all of my videos and they are not showing blurry.
