- Without a clear understanding of the Context Transition, you have little chance of writing complex Measures that work.
A step-by-step tutorial with a practical example that touches also on the theory.

Exceptional work! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Super ....Great job ...👍
Thanks for the appreciation! 🤝
Very good explanation mate , well done 👏
Hi Shaf. Thanks for the feedback!
Good explanation. This is confusing because no one explains it simply, you did so.
I have one doubt.
Context transition in a measure occurs when there is a "Row context" (that is the iterator function) and a measure reference right? (Which is another measure called upon).
Only then the context transition happens successfully right?
In your case in using MAXX and the [Measure].
Hi Akshay, you are right

Thank you, you deserve the pat on the back.
How you managed to explain this in a simple manner is a testament to your skills, you should be getting paid well for this.
meaning of Granularity ??
Granularity means at what level you analyze data for example: at year level, at month level, at day level?
In some paper they have asked
How many types of context are there in
dax ??
1
2
3
4
Which option I need to select ??
Hi Jayant. There are 3 contexts in DAX: Row, Query and Filter contexts.
I would say 2 because rarely we use Query.
@@AkshayKumar-vd5wn Queries are useful for “visualizing” intermediary tables or results in complex measures. I use DAX Studio a lot to understand the behaviours of some measures.

I see. Its something that I dont come across so hence never paid much attention to it.
Looking forward to more of your videos.
