    • @GoodlyChandeep
      @GoodlyChandeep  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Sonam.
      1. You need to create a relationship (one to many) between 2 tables
      2. Then write the following =SUMX ( SalesTable, SalesTable[Units Column] * RELATED ( ProductsTable[Price Column] ) )
      The Related function is like writing VLOOKUP

    I thought the context transition occurred because the measure [Total Sales] has an implicit calculate wrapped around it when used in an expression. Thus, it iterates through the column returned from values, converting each row to a filter, which is then applied to the [Total Sales] sales table. Kind of hard to explain, but I hope that makes sense

    My challenge with DAX and power bi in general is the inability to know whether a result displaying in a visual is correct or not. With everything happening in the background, what validation process can one carry out to know if the result is correct or not? In some instances, like what you just demonstrated, it seems obvious but in others where the figures appear to be unique, it is difficult to tell from just looking at the visual. I'm a beginner so please pardon my ignorance. I really need some guidance on this issue. Also, where can I find DAX practice questions with solutions?
