  • In this video we evaluate row context in DAX using Power BI. By itself row context is a very simple concept, so simple, we don't even think about it. But having a firm understanding of row context will help us to grow our DAX skills and understand more complex topics!

    Another solid tutorial from Mitchell who has a gifted approach for explaining complicated topics in an easy to understand manner. Looking forward to future videos on filter context and context transition to round out this topic.

    Mitchell, do you sell a DAX course? I would love to buy it! You're probably the best teacher out there to teach DAX & Power BI. Others complicate topics where you make it easy to digest. Thank you for all you do.

    Great video Mitchell! Thanks for taking the time to do these. I've paid for many self paced Power BI trainings and I like yours the best.

    Thank you Mitchell. I took your courses on DAX at PragmaticWorks, and I really enjoyed the way you explained the concepts step by step. I hope you will create more advanced DAX contents/DAX patterns at PragmaticWorks soon.
    Looking forward to your future lessons on iterators.

      Hey Jack, I definitely will. I did discuss filter context quite a bit in this 3 hour webinar I did for Pragmatic Works: th-cam.com/video/QJw4HkagVWc/w-d-xo.html

    first of all, I would like to thank you for the valuable information and your way of illustration it's really make the subject so sample. and I have a question, can I get the customer with no sales per month, I create a table Month in columns & customer in a row & total sales is the value, of course, som field showing blank "and no record for this customer in this month the sales data table, I want to show only the blank value, thank you

    Can we get the dataset?

  • @pakipower
    @pakipower 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent video Mitchel.
    One suggestion though, please keep the size of the tables you use for teaching DAX, small maybe 3 to 5 columns wide and 10 to 15 rows long. For us to not get overwhelmed with the table sizes.
    It greatly helps when we can see the Measure or Calculated Column and the resulted value or new column in one screen.
    Thanks again.
