I love the height and bulk. The headsculpt is really beautiful because it looks thinner like he did in the dk. The face looks like its from the scene where bruce is speaking with alfred in the temp batcave and alfred is telling him about the joker "some men just want to let the world burn." That sculp looks great for the film much thinner

Just got my first hot toys and this was it. I didn’t even watch any videos or even heard of a re-release. I’m 15 and remember when I was little and the armory version came out and dreamed of it in my hands. I went into midtown comics in time square nyc not expecting to buy anything. Walked out with a coke in my left hand and my childhood dreams in the other. Absolutely recommend this as your first or even latest hot toys.
Only thing I like about this release is that the bigger body gives me more confidence that the upcoming Batmobile re-release's cockpit may make it easier to use any Batman figure with it.
Hey Justin! Just picked up this figure and I gotta say I’m really impressed with hot toys on this one. People are complaining that the cape isn’t wired but tbh it doesn’t need to be. I get it sitting nicely whenever I pose him up so no complaints in that area.

As someone who collected comic books for over 40 years, the Dark Knight trilogy was ground breaking. Nolan elevated Batman to an epic crime film like Heat. While I enjoyed Pattinson's the Batman where Gotham is a Hospice patient, the Dark Knight trilogy really tried its darnest to be the super hero movie right outside your window. I have Harvey Dent. Definitely going to take advantage of the Catwoman re-ssue. I can only dream of a Joker and Bane re-issue.

As far as Batman’s villains (which is what I was referring to as Justin did a comparison) Cillian Murphy aka Scarecrow is 5’7” Tom Hardy aka Bane is 5’9” Aaron Eckhart aka Two-face is 5’10” and Heath Ledger aka Joker is 6’1” while Bale as Batman is 6 ft.

Glad to see that the DX19 has significant improvements, so it's more than just a simple reissue. I missed out on the DX12 since I wasn't collecting back then but so happy to see this reissue come out, as I'm a huge Batman fan (especially of the Nolan films). The only thing I'm disappointed by is that the cape is not wired! A bit of a missed opportunity there. The recent Batgirl figure has a wired cape but this Batman doesn't have one?!

The Christian Bale head sculpt looked outstanding on the DX19 body, but he looked even better when paired with the suit. If someone doesn't own a Batman, this is a great buy. The older Catwoman and this guy looked really great together.
Its annoying HT have to put us in this situation when we've bought the older versions, now they decide to upscale a range of the same characters. So then if you want the newer version(s), you'd most likely sell your older ones to replace them. I have the DX12 AND armory versions and thought of the idea of getting this one as my main one displayed standing, while I use my DX12 on my Bat-pod. Now I don't know because it will be out of scale among the other Nolan-verse characters I have, plus I am also getting the Inarts Joker. I'm betting that the upcoming Batman Begins figure is in scale with this one.
Excellent content. DX19 is a Masterpiece and IMO the last release for Batman @ the TDK title. Can't wait for my copy to hit should be 4-5 months from now LOL. Come on man these delays by ocean freight and traffic jams are ridiculous.
I hope Hot Toys produces a non rubber suit batman fig for the 1/6 batmobile just like 1/12 scale fig on the BAT. Collectors doesn't display their figs inside vehicles because the rubber parts will get damaged in the long run
I have the original Dark Knight Rises Batman and it looks more like this one. The armory version is off from that and this new one. I would like the blinding just like the headlights on cars sonar eyes and stand but, I am happy with the actual lights on it and the sculpt from the 2012 one. Oh, and the better cape fabric lol.
@@JustinsCollection the suit is but, the Bruce sculpt is more like this new one instead of what appears to be the Tony Stank version of Bruce in the armory sculpt shown here. I has no idea it was that far off lol. The cape is better on the original, thicker and a little more of a hassle getting into place. If I didn't have it I would definitely go for this new one. :)

Its weird, with bales batman his toys and figures are just not good like the movie. This is the first time ive seen a amazing figure adaptation of his batman! Amazing video👍🏾
Great review. I appreciate the honesty with the annoying aspects section that you do. The stand would actually be one of those for me. While I appreciate the additional washes/detail, the empty LED spots is annoying. I guess it was a cost savings thing(?), but I wish they were populated and the base had the light-up feature. I actually prefer the logo on the new base versus the old one though. In terms of the headsculpt, I agree that from the looks of it, it is a spot-on likeness, and it is the sculpt that I prefer. The shot at the end of the video of the figure with the mask-less headsculpt holding the mask in one hand is really cool.
Just like you I went from so-so to "I think I'll get this". I have the armory single batman, I think I'll the that suit in the armory and pose this figure in front.
I have the 1/4 DKR figure. I'm torn now. Lol. I'll probably get this figure to pose with the bat pod. I'm really looking forward the updated 1/4. Thanks for the quick review!

I agree with you Justin, I have barely a year with the armory Batman and I think the size it's not that much to update my Batman, but I guess I have to put it next to the new Inarts Joker and new Hot Toys Catwoman to see how they scale together and if I need to update to the DX19

the dx 12 is 100 percent more acurate looking then the dx 19 sculpt without the cawl/mask. I saw the movie yesterday. At least it looks more acurate to the batman begining movie. The dark knight i will see today, then i can say if it looks better or not. But the dx 12 is bale for sure!

The crotch plate is accurate on the dx19, this is how it looks on the actual suit.

@sweezybones Yes this is a 2.0 version not a re-release the body, cape and head sculpt along with the cowl are complete upgrades.
