Agreed about the art box Justin. I don't usually care that much about art boxes but I do think it is mandatory. It's kinda like blurays. It's just nice to be able to display the boxes they're in too.

I work for a third party statue company (1/4 scale) and my secondary job outside of concept work is designing their boxes! If a company as small as the one i work for can pay me a decent wage to make big boxes fun to open, Hot Toys has NOOOOOO excuse as to why they cant either...

Ive moved away from figures and more into statues over the years but this might actually be a good alternative to a 1/4 statue, especially with that display base wow. also, honestly, the Bruce sculpt by HT might actually be better than the ones the statue makers have made lol. Yeah definitely a great option as a poseable statue!
That's so funny because I did the opposite by moving away from statues and more into Hot Toys figures because statues 99.9% of time have some type of QC issues where hot toys don't have many issues like paint flaws drive me nuts on statues!

Incredible how Hot Toys makes such an intricate base but shorts collectors on the art box.
I think at this point they’re cheaping out wherever they can while still jacking up the prices .. ✨profits✨
@@BeefWifGrief Exactly. This figure went from $465 to $595 (for the Collector Edition) on Sideshow. Price gouging from Sideshow aside, if Hot Toys is increasing prices they shouldn't be skimping out on details. I don't display the box but for me it's about the principle of how they're operating and disrespecting collectors.
@@IrcnStark feel exactly the same. I’m on reddit right now being downvoted for having a issue with this. One guy said he was down with boring packaging because he throws the boxes away because he doesn’t have enough space to store them. I translate that to “everyone else should pay because i own too much stuff”
Not my fault that. Choose more carefully. I want my box art. Especially for the price 1/4 are. It’s a fantastic figure and i’ll still be getting him. But the lack of box art really sucks. Didn’t even include the big beefy 1/4 button, it’s printed on instead 🙈

Jesus, that box is awful.
The elbow armour still sticking out like that is bullshit. Just include extra gauntlets with bent elbow gaurds for fighting poses 🤦
Some nice extras and the cape looks good, but I'm sticking with the first release.

This is still, do this day, my favorite batsuit. I absolutely love it, even more than Ben Affleck’s comic accurate batsuit and Robert Pattinson’s batsuit. And I’m not entirely sure why. I’m just love it, and I love every Hot Toy’s figure if it

Tdk suit is awful. Tiny bat that blends in, looks like he's the one wearing hockey pads and there is just 0 intimidation factor
@@DorkOfGames 0 intimidation factor? Would underpants over tights be preferable? Or an un-moveable neck? I do love batman's classic suits from the comics, but they just wouldnt work in the world Nolan established.

I plan on buying this. It looks so good and will compliment by 1/4 HT joker. I’m not a huge “box guy” but the fact they didn’t even pack it is crazy! Especially for this! I understand cost reduction but come on! Not to mention the fact that the box helps protect the figure while in transit

I love the display base with the Falcon head for this impressive 1/6 scale figure! I also dig the sonar eyes for the Batman, which I thought was the best part of the Dark Knight because Batman had only so much time to find and save the hostages.

outside of the belt needing to be fixed, i think the Enterbay Batman Begins figure is by far the best Batman figure we have. it's hard to describe until you see it in person cause it has such a presence as corny as that sounds.

Justin I have to agree with you with the cardbox, my problem is that i dont like that the mailman or my neighbors know what's in the package , also prices are going up and were getting less, this is obviously an attempt by hot toys to save money , well i got news there's a company called inart that's coming for you hot toys.....

Personally, I find that HT did a good job on this reissue of Batman !
I looked at what the competing brands do and really they can't sublimate the excellent painting work or the head sculpt of this 1/4 figurine.

I Agree with you on the box, it's part of the experience in my book. But holy shit, what a damn masterpiece!! I thought my DX19 was good, but I may have to this to go with my 1/4 Batman Begins and 1/4 Batman 1989.

They're quite good figures tbh
Its kinda obvious with the display base and high quality of everything inside the box that the money was spent giving us a high quality figure and not being wasted on a fancy box

Thank you Justin! Have to agree with you on a few things. The Box, I don't want the delivery guy or my neighbors knowing what I'm receiving at my doorstep. I also don't want to temp would be package thieves. Also the necks are too skinny on the D X 19 and the quarter scales. I just can't stop looking at it and it bothers me so much. OT's are nice but I'm not willing to spend the cash. But my quarter-scale QS001 is pretty phenomenal. I have to agree.

I kinda have to buy this. My original 1/4 has a broken shoulder and the right arm is floppy now 😂
But the base looks great, figure looks great, the bust for the head is amazing (and should be done more frequently, AND for some 1/6 figures as well) and the brown box is going in the trash so I don’t care what it looks like, but it’s weird they didn’t use the classic 1/4 packaging, probably because the huge base.
Ah damn! Mine had the same issue but I was able to get in there and tighten the screw which fixed it right up! Hate the box though!

Fantastic in-depth review, every aspect of the figure is so well covered! I would love to see your take on the Enterbay Batman, surprised you have the Bale hs from that figure! Bear in mind that figure is old if you do decide to review it. I managed to grab a bargain on that one recently & now addicted to this scale, which makes this review bleed my pocket a bit! I am one of those who think the QS001 is the best Batman figure ever made.
Now I am considering picking this up or at least the bust and the base.

@justin Thanks for you review! I just wonder why nobody notice that Hottoys didn’t come with little open mouth accessory as they were included in their official photos and prototype display. As this little open mouth look is the most vintage for me in Batman TDKR. For me this is unacceptable how Hottoys omitted the accessory in final release while they were showing in their official picture and prototype!!!

Thank you for the review Justin… I just got mine… and I got something to share.. mine is the normal version, and I realised my “angry” mouth piece( the one where you can see his full set of teeth) is more subtle than yours. As in yours is more fierce and angrier… a quick check on product pics and I realised there is actually this difference on the “angry” mouth piece of the normal and special edition… care to just confirm this for me if you have the time ? Thank you… 😊

The EMP-gun‘s light up function is so disappointed, it's a design of 10 years ago, the cowl is not accurate just like you said, lastly, the elbow pad is not separated, it's too ugly when you do some posing.

Neck still thin and the cape is too long - it doesnt touch the ground or drag in the Rises film - great comparison with the custom cowl and neck piece
I believe he had different cape lengths depending on the scene. Glad you like the custom cowl though!
