I honestly would not understand and absorb the Bible without TLC's Recap! She explains so well and enlightens me in ways I never would have been otherwise.
You definitely would if you trusted what Jesus says in John 14:26 & 16:13. We HAVE a teacher! Just sad that nobody believes Jesus's words about the Holy Spirit in these verses!
Yes, you would. If you are saved and read, study and learn from teachers that have been at it awhile, you would know what Tara does. She did the studying and took the time. =]
Everyone is given free will, but God does not live in the confines of human time. So He already knows every choice we will ever make and therefore He is able to use ALL our choices to accomplish His perfect plan and His perfect will.
The Lord and His Word certainly understand the human condition, how we shout for joy and weep at the same time (Ez 3:13). I don’t think that the elders who wept were necessarily looking backwards and wailing over the smallness of the new foundation, but experiencing the sorrow of who they are: people who lost everything, everything but God. And that’s who we are; we are those who have lost loved ones, yet still know that “He is so good. His faithful love endures forever!” (Ez 3:11) God is not a God Whose existence depends upon our feelings. Our feelings and self-identity don’t determine reality. It is a fact that, despite joy and sorrow, He establishes a foundation of His presence, for His “faithful love endures forever.”
I love your statement, "feelings don't determine reality." Feelings are fleeting and personality, I can experience endless feelings over a single situation that seem to contradict. Feelings are real, but they are real to the person experiencing them in that moment. They are always changing and different at different times for different people.
God knows our heart's. He knows what will move our hearts to change our actions and beliefs. I find great comfort in this. For the unbelievers in my life, I know God knows what they need to hear and experience to have their eyes and hearts opened to God and His promise for their lives. God, I put my friends, family and husband in your hands. I know You know them and You will present them with the facts and awareness of Your love and presence at the perfect time. God, I will not worry or stress. I put their soul and future in Your hands. Ezra 1:1 NIV "In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing."
I always wondered why God put all the names of people (like a roll call) in the Bible for us to read…I finally realize God is honoring those who honored Him!
Day 260 Ezra 1-3 This short book covers almost a century. It is a historical book and not a prophetic one. Persia defeated Babylon. God used them to take down God’s enemy of His people. King Cyrus leads now. God stirred up the spirit of a pagan (King Cyrus) to rebuild Jerusalem and His temple. He allows the people to return and even gives them provisions. He gives them all the temple vessels to take back with them. That’s a big deal. About 50,000 people went back to Israel during the first wave. This book gives historical records of those who returned and their family records. In vs 59 it even includes those whose family records couldn’t be traced. They were counted but were not allowed to be priests. Chapter 3 After they have settled in for about 7 months they all gather back in Jerusalem. They rebuild the altar. They give Freewill offerings- voluntary- offering (26xs in scripture) Extra gifts the people gave to God. The more our hearts are open to God the more our hands will also. Don’t let any questions keep you from God. Bring all your questions to God. There is a worship service when the temple is finally rebuilt. Today we are seeing God’s promise fulfilled. The Israelites are back in the land. God uses pagans and His children to rebuild the temple of God. God can use whoever He wishes. He is the Lord the creator of all. God even works in the hearts of His enemies to bless His people. We don’t limit God. Nothing limits God. “In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing: “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.” Ezra 1:1-2
Thank you so much TLC I’m learning so much about word of God through the Bible recap. Don’t let a question keep you from God I just want to grow closer and closer to God the more I am learning. He is where the joy is. 🙌🏽
God is a promise keeper. He had promised Israel that there would be a remnant of people to return home from being in exile. He stirred the heart of King Cyrus to allow for the people to start going back home. God controls outcomes.
Good Beautiful Sunday morning bible Family and thanks to TLC for the recap I'm always learning something new ❤❤❤ Have a blessed day in His Presence 🙏🙌🏾❤️💯
"He is good; His love to Israel endures forever" (Ezra 4:11). The commentary in my Bible highlights homecoming from Ezra 2:1. It says, ..."The God of 'the second chance' gave his people another opportunity to serve him in the promised land. The Lord does not stay angry forever, but delights in giving renewed opportunities for service."
I love what you said about not letting our questions keep us from God. We have to see questions as a chance to draw closer to God. He welcomes them. Also, it can be so tempting to dwell on what was that you miss what's right in front of you. Great takeaway.
Aloha, praise the Lord and good morning BR family. I can always count on TL to explain God's words. I am so grateful that he blessed me with Bible Recap Plan and an awesome commentator, TLC. How good is our God? He is good and his mercy endureth forever. He is where the JOY is!!!

We’ve seen that Israel has been restored back to it’s chosen people. That is so awesome!!! 🙌🏼 God is so faithful. Thank You Lord and thank you TLC for these recaps. They truly help me to understand a bit more of what is sometimes hard to understand.
I've always grappled with us having freewill. I've always believed that we have the freewill to make our own decisions but after reading the Bible this year, I'm not feeling like we have that. It seems like God controls EVERYTHING.
God has the plan already laid out - YET… we are given the free will to choose what road to take. Remember in Exodus the Israelites could have made it out of the wilderness in a couple months- they chose 40 years.
Even Jesus chose the cross (see Hebrews where He chose to “scorn its shame”) and He asked the Father to take away the suffering, but submitted His will (His free will) to God.
God truly has given us a freewill. That doesn't mean God cannot stir up the heart of men. It is written in his words that He - God is the father of all spirits. He knows the thoughts and imaginations of men. Now where the freewill of a man can come into play is that Man, even after being stired up by God or directed by God to do something, the man can still choose either to follow what God is telling him or not. In the book of Ezra, King Cyrus could have chosen not to follow what the thoughts and stirring that got to his heart and even God will respect that decision and look for another way to fulfill the prophecy. So in summary, As humans we have the will, choice to either accept or reject what God is telling us to do. God can only stir our hearts. Infact God most of the times keeps pressing in just as a way to convince us to do what he's asking us to do. But after a while, if He, God sees that you won't burge He respects you and move to someone else. So ultimately man's freewill is still there to make the final decision.
Today Tara commented that Ezra 310 says that it was built according to David’s blueprint. That is not correct. It does not refer to the tabernacle being built to the blueprint. It talks about the praise and the music and the worship being after David ordinance. I believe that the elders were heartbroken because they did not follow the blueprint of David, nor were the people given the special talents that God had given previous workers so the glory and the beauty was not as radiant with the new tabernacle. However, once had never seen it Were wonder because God had been created so that they could be worshiping their Father again.
How in the world did Persia keep count of the exiles?? I only recognize a few names of the exiles. Our government lost over 300,000 illegal children. Building the tabernacle was different than the original. I wonder if that was why the older Israelites were weeping.
I honestly would not understand and absorb the Bible without TLC's Recap! She explains so well and enlightens me in ways I never would have been otherwise.

Hey Bible Readers!
All I can say is Thank you❤️
Thank you 🙏🏾
the Bible I have access to now~NLV doesnt use freewill ~uses voluntary~ but that was an interesting rabbit hole I went down;)

I thought it was Isaiah and Jeremiah not Daniel that prophesied about Cyrus playing a key roll in rebuilding Jerusalem.
God truly has given us a freewill.
That doesn't mean God cannot stir up the heart of men.
It is written in his words that He - God is the father of all spirits.
