I’ve watched a lot of videos on Walleye fishing. There’s Tom Boley and then there’s everybody else. You’re the best, Tom. Thanks for all you do for us!
Went walleye fishing yesterday in the Tomahawk area and outfished my hubby using your quick wrist-flick & rod/retrieval techniques. Caught 5 huge smallies, dozen eyes 3 became lunch, thank you very much!
Just want to say thank you for uping my game , I’ve literally caught walleye on every presentation you cover in your videos. Yesterday the jerk minnow jr and jigging rap did it on a extremely highly pressured Illinois mud puddle , keep it up , I’ll be watching
Very nice breakdown video. I see these as some the best videos you have just because of how realistic they are and you get to apply all the info you have already shared. Keep up the great work bud!
You probably figured it out but there’s a better ramp on lake 1. I put in where you did too one time and the wind started ripping and I almost didn’t get it back on. 😂 Huge smallies in there.
Great info for depth highlighting. Learning the new Helix SI and putting your tips to use. Now if I can just determine fish on the SI, I’ll be all set.
I'm glad I found your videos last week. Phenomanal stuff man. I grew up in northern Wisconsin and love the fishing opportunities. Glad to see ya repping it extremely well. Tight lines man.
Dang. Must be still cold over there I was out last week in Minnesota on 2 different lakes and everything was post spawn water temp 52° to 54° I was surprised it was a week before MN State opener. I'm a Native so walleye season only closes for an hour for me.😁😁 Let em go let em grow bro!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Great video as always. Gives us hope when you try a new lake & break it down like you do. Those turnips that rolled right up on you are the type of guys I have to drive away from bc them just idiots & cant find fish themselves
Keep them coming. I have seen your progression over the years. I am confident you will be at the Linder, Mitchel, Thelen, ect stage at some point in your career.
Great stuff as always man! Speaking of people rolling up on you, it would be cool to see how you fish a high pressure lake. We have lots of lakes with good populations of walleyes around the twin cities, but there is ALWAYS pressure!
Keep a heavy casting rod in the boat. When a parasite pulls in on you start throwing a muskie lure and landing it next to their boat. They get the message.
Nice work, dude. I hit that lake around Labor Day once for smallmouth and it was tough fishing. Only caught a couple modest ones. Such nice clear water and rock structures, it sure has a fish-holding look to it. The rusty crayfish are for real in there. DNR surveys suggest a low density of a smallmouth, but with some monsters among them. Need to try it for walleye.
Another great spring walleye video, I was planning to use some of what i've picked up on your videos next week in Canada, annual trip, but that ain't going to happen. Already rewatching your fall videos, hoping maybe make it up there then. Thanks
Another great vid, thanks for sharing, how old is Surly, has she ever jumped overboard,my 1 yo lab jumped overboard the other day and he was tied up, I think he'll get used to it, my 1st lab was a trooper hed fish all day and could tell when I'd get a bite rigging,he always had to lick the walleye before release
Tom, just FYI, you might want to blur out or turn off your Latitude and Longitude on the Humminbird if you want to keep the body od water secret. Thanks for the great content!
I tried your retrieve this last weekend and couldn’t figure it out when do you reel in a bit after the small pop love your videos very informative and would love to fish with ya some day do you guide
Not sure if they are in season but...Something you can’t do in Hayward would be inland Laker fishing.🤷♂️ Trout Lake would be good for eyes too. Then swing over to Black Oak & try to catch one of their genetically unique Laker strain. IDK, just seems like your a little bored & looking for new things to do!😂 Awesome videos man, keep’em coming!💪💪🎣
I would throw a buoy , when we used buoys , as a decoy and fish 75 to 100 yards away in our hot spot. Boats would pull right up them and drop a line. lol emoji needed
Tom, you ever try the Bago system? Had a ton of fun watching the Head to Head Bago Beat Down this week. Very tough fishing this week but so many different ways to attack the water.
@@patrickempey3584 Something like that, some really good anglers to! Just the right mixture of the weird weather and the Lake Fly hatch screwed things up. I went out Saturday and marked a ton of fish but very few takers
Jason Herman was out on Friday in Bago and did the same thing. Fish everywhere but none were hungry. Just think there’s too much food in that system right now. The flies make it look like the apocalypse.
Hey Mr. Boley have you ever taken out a fly fisherman? Would make a fun video head to head of coarse you have to find the fish and provide the boat.LOL but seriously do you think a well-placed fly in hard conditions might out fish conventional?
Tom it’s too bad you’re 16 hours away. I’d like to see how you do on Oneida lake in CNY. I thought we had a good walleye population until I started watching your videos.
I’m enjoying watching your vids and I’m fairly new to walleye fishing and I don’t have a boat. Do you have any tips to shore fishing walleyes and shore fishing in general , would very much appreciate a reply :)
What action rod and length on your rod you had your first walleye on? Im wanting to get some better rain jacket/suit setups for fishing, any recommendations on that and places to find deals on that kind of stuff?
Love how some of you guys act like Tom doing a video and showing coordinates on a lake while catching a few walleyes is going to make hundreds of people alter their vacation plans and go to that lake 😂
Really enjoy your videos. I am looking for a new spinning rod and the Elliott rods look awesome. Looking for a lighter rod for swimbaits, ned, tubes, etc. How is the 6'9" ML? What do you suggest. 6 to 8 lb test. Also, what is the handle made of? Is it rubbery/foamy or more more like cork texture? Txs
Tom Boley todd Behm because if he did, everyone would head up there and harvest them. Then the place sux. Its the way it is, get a decent place and share about it, a few years it goes to crap. The large 25” Walleye he caught, took 14-16 years to grow to that size. But some dumbass would put it in the cooler thinking the lake is loaded.
You probably figured it out but there’s a better ramp on lake 1. I put in where you did too one time and the wind started ripping and I almost didn’t get it back on. 😂 Huge smallies in there.

I'm so happy I found this gem of a channel. Your videos are straight fire. Keep it up and never loose that bluesy guitar backing track.
Giving away good lakes Tom. I know that lake lol
Lake Erie is calling...ROAD TRIP!!!

Really nice to see how you break down a new lake. Very effective. Proof is in the walleye!!!

Keep it up brother! Love your informational videos. Helped me catch an opening day limit in 1.5hrs earlier this month.
Amazing how you break a lake down always learning from your videos please keep them coming!.
Great job nice to watch someone that knows how to release fish properly.... Very educational as well👍
These are such incredible videos, packed with very useful information.

Awesome sound track thank you for not killing my ears with speed metal and ganster beats!
I hear you about having the whole lake to fish and someone wants to fish right next to you. It's like man can't you find another place to fish.
Was it Ron P.???
He's pretty attractive thats probably why

Love the new lake breakdown!
Always good to find good ones on new water. Good stuff
"BASICALLY" another great video :)
Always enjoy when you break down a new lake. Good luck & keep up the informational videos
Great ‘how to’ videos. Very comprehensive. Thank you sir. 🙏🏼

Bro, Walter opener is Saturday up here in my zone in Canada! going to load up the canoe and hit up some lakes. Thanks for all you're tips man!
Great video, Tom! Love the new lake videos! So cool!

best walleye info on the web

Tom, if you ever want me to show you how to crush some beers and not catch anything let me know. I am a pro.
Best comment ever!
as always, awesomeness!
As always another great video!
Presque Isle lake..been there before
Saw you and the pup fishing up there the other day, no I wasn’t the guy who parked next to you😁. Great video

Tom, you ever try the Bago system? Had a ton of fun watching the Head to Head Bago Beat Down this week. Very tough fishing this week but so many different ways to attack the water.
Weren’t there like 8 total walleyes caught in 4 days on the Bago beat down?

Hey Tom! Do you need a deck hand? I was born a fisherman but I'd love to learn the most!
Hey Tom. Do you do any guiding on the Manitowish Chain?? Thanks again for all the help and videos......
Tom great video thx

I see that you're using the Helix 9. I have a 7, do you have an additional map chip in yours and witch one do you have ??
How does your boat move alone? Do you have some sort of autopilot trolling motor? If so, how does it work?

Make a compilation series of people pulling up to your boat and post! I am sure you will get a ton of likes...

Hi Tom what model alumacraft do you have ?
On the super clear lakes are you running your braid all the way to the hook, or running a mono tippet?
for what its worth, even in canada where there are millions of acres to fish. guys still pull up on you.
Do you head back to shore for dog potty breaks?
Did you end up sticking with live bait or did your switch to a jig?
Do you use your kicker much? If so what for?
Trolling. Use it a ton
DNR should forget the boom shocker and just send Tom Boley out.
So at 43 degree water temp, are they post or pre spawn?
Both
Surly probably has to go to the bathroom!!😆
Do you ever keep and eat the fish you catch?
@@Tyler-zw4kq That's a good point
Great video Tom! Ready join me on pmytuming?
Surprise live bait again
Crazy right?
What is your best walleye you have ever caught
I got some new walleye videos coming soon to my channel!!! Check em out 👍
