Ripping Swimbaits For Spring Walleyes

- Today we are out on a Northern Wisconsin lake and we are walleye fishing with swimbaits. This is one of my absolute favorite ways to catch walleyes all season long. Much of walleye country is experiencing a big warm up and these fish are on the chew. This bite is just getting started and it is going to be excellent for the next month or so. In this video I talk about how to position on fish once you find them. I also talk about how I like to rig up and fish a Swimbait. Thanks for watching and good luck with your spring walleye fishing!

Tom you’re making this look 👀 so easy
Good video. Good info.
Beautiful smile Shelby!!! Tom she adds a great deal to the video. Nice fish on the plastic!!! My wife is my full time partner. Love fishing with her. Great instructions as always.
So cool bro awsome job love shelbie hooken uppppp
There's a reason the walleye are more stupid in the green bay.. it's because you have educated all the walleye in the other lakes in northern wisconsin. Thank you for the videos!
My confidence as an angler has increased phenomenally from watching you and I appreciate your skills 👍🏼☺️
Thanks for sharing your time and detailed explanations - You are a great teacher!!
How do u choose your color of jig and tickle tail ?
Tom please do some river fishing Videos I fish a lot on the Detroit and would love some videos on the river
Love the videos you do. Great guest on this videos. Was a nice change. Fun to see. Good job
Boom! Since viewing you channel I've take my jig game to a new level. Thanks for explaining absolutely everything in detail. Your techniques work in SD Thanks.
Great video like always Tom. I still can't believe your videos aren't getting 100k plus views. Some of the most informative videos out there. If you keep putting out these great videos "They will come". Looking forward to your new videos. I like how you include the sonar and what your looking for at that time, the technique your using, and how to position yourself to be most effective.
Tell me about your new rods. I noticed youve been using Elliott now. Couldn't find a video about um
You ever do any fishing on reservoirs? If so, think you could do a video differentiating them from a lake?
I love the content, but it's a little hard to apply since the reservoirs local to me are so different. Lots of rocky bluffs and points, but no weeds. I can catch walleyes there regularly but lack the understanding of their patterns to do it reliably.
More Q&A Tom
love to see the brown ones too great videos
Tom, do you ever use a monofilament hybrid type of line when snap jigging? It sinks faster than braid.
I tried this because I thought it would be different and it didn’t seem to work. The mono stretches too much, so you don’t really get as much of a sharp snap with the bait. Braid just seems to always work the best for snap jigging. At least from what I’ve felt.
Thanks another very informational veido please keep them coming
Great job Shelby😊
spring walleye fishing yes it rocks.thanks tom keep up the great videos cheers
What is the difference between the mega si and the mega si + for hummingbird graphs?
You are a video producing machine 💪. Thank you
Kalins kalins kalins every video
I'm definitely a believer of these soft plastics! In fact I need to learn how to rig a live minnow so I don't lose them when I'm not using the plastics! Lol
great vid,
Tom, do you snap jerk baits for eyes?
I'd like to see some river fishing
Me too
Do you have a lot of success after a rainfall? Caught a walleye from shore in a clear deep water lake, but the runoff from the rain just completely muddied up the water the next day, any tips to catch muddy water walleyes?
What do you consider the inside weed edge? Great video!
Loving the snap jigging Tom, thanks to your videos. I wonder how clear your lakes are though....I'm fishing very clear water, with lots of deep water available (average depth 70, deepest 130). I cannot buy a bite from a walleye until absolute sundown. Should I be trying deeper during the day? Slower? I fish this type of structure and get bass like crazy right now.
One thing I would love to see is how to connect your trolling motor to your Garmin unit so it allows you to use spot lock and all the GPS driven trolling motor stuff!
If u go to the Chippewa flowage I no a secret spot
Always informative, keep up the great work.
Hey Tom are you using the 1/4oz jig most of the summer snap jigging?
Just cant seem to find walleye at the lake Ive been working. Its not a big Lake and wonder if its getting over fished for the walleye, as they are targeted most. They put yellow bass in the lake, and you can catch them things nearly every cast. I wonder if they are taking over. Its a smaller lake deepest about 28'. Water been about 60 degrees, and the only fish Im marking that look like walleye are deep in the 20' range. Not sure if they are walleye, but cant get the bite.
Hey Tom I’ve been aimlessly looking for the tickle tail swimbaits you use but nobody has them are they even out yet ? Or can you link where you get them?
Never mind I finally found out how to find the link in the description like you tubers always say hahaha I can’t wait to get some
Is this grindstones
Map card never leaves the boat tom!
Got a question for you have you ever tried using bass swim jigs for walleye
Kudos to your wife(?) on her camera work. And she’s a real looker
is that a 185 Competitor?
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "py-cee-fun" It's a combination of the words "pisces" - who's zodiac sign is a fish - and "fun". But I could be wrong.
As the weeds grow- any tricks on how to not snag them so much.
Finely someone using a rod holder and not slamming a custom rod on the side of the boat.
