I settled on the daniel defense grip n rip charging handle for the way it diverted gases, in design. Check it out and see what you think! No issues in practice on a 14.5" 5.56 and 24" 6.5 CM lying prone(no dust kickup). No suppressors here in Cali.
@@manny45629lol you’re not the only one that says this. I myself was about to buy the Daniel defense but I did my research and multiple people most of them said the same thing compare to Radian raptor the radian raptor worked better. I ended up buying a blem radian raptor since they’re only $80😂
The warcomp is awesome but it doesnt have labyrinth seals to help seal the gases into the suppressor I found a four prong in stock for retail and will be swapping soon
My 5.56 is a aero upper and ati omni hybrid lower with a 10.5 barrel and red and green reflex sight and magpul grips with a single point sling and Shockwave gen2 brace and laser and flashlight combo. That's my gpr and shtf go 2 ar15
I prefer the adac for 1 reason only….if I get a jam/stove/double feed….i first push the mag release, and pull back ch….on the adac… this locks the bolt back, and I can clear the jelly, insert new mag, and close bolt all with trigger finger. Almost every “ambi” lower receiver on the market fails to recognize this and just adds a “bolt release” to the right side. Which is what a bad lever also does for $25! Making adac….1 of 1 period. PWS and FCD/solgw are the only others that can do it…but are unicorns. Now, a Redi-catch/Redi-release can also achieve this. And together costs about $95…and can be added to ANY mil-spec lower (like the iwi Zion tac-12 pistol I have) to make a functionally perfect lower…butt ugly!
Yeah i wasted 400$ on an adac lower and never use any of the features lol. Ill never buy a 200$ trigger again. Im just sticking with my aero m4e1s now and theyre much lighter as well.
Love the ADAC, have it under my DDM4V1 upper. Rather than the eotech I'm rocking the Vortex Uh1 Gen2 and micro 3x. I also have the BCM, Dual Fuel and Dbal D2 so I understand the CHONKY rifle life. 👌 Wish I would've just got the surefire suppressor but have a Yankee Hill that was on sale last year for no BS, a THIRD the price. 😅
:O how is the Yankee Hill working out for you? I am curious about the amount of gas blowback. Do you have to do any modifying (i.e on the charging handle) or is it pleasant enough that you can just tough it out? We basically have the same rifle haha love it.
@mrnoirstudio1947 It's pretty manageable to the point I don't think I've noticed until asked about it 😂 that being said, the Daniel Defense charging handle has a venting system similar to the Radian Raptor.
Look for labyrinth seals on the SF flash hider not all of them have these rings around the circumference towards the back of the muzzle device The flash hider or break with these labyrinth seals are what you want
I switched from that stock to the none sopmod version. I'm also small so it being thinner felt better for me. Nice set up man. I have the 11.5 with the rc2 as well with eotech and same light but on a lightbar from trex so it ends up almost flush with the can.
I think you don’t hear a ring noise from the muzzle device befits the warcomp and not a regular 3 prong. It has those comp holes that probably mitigate the noise.
hah, i clicked cause of the ADAC and was feeling inferior with my Aero/bad lever combo and now i feel perfectly happy with it. lol thanks. sick rifle tho!
Hello, Great video. Question. Would you say as far as DI uppers go do u think the SD is fair to say it’s the best DI upper on the market? Also in terms of Gucci vs basic lowers do u think a LMT/ADAC/UIC lower is worth the money especially for a SHTF last resort rifle? Or is a basic aero m4e1 lower more than enough for a rifle like that? My only concern is after watching TrexArms Aero m5 review, some parts in the lower were walking themself lose but ppl were saying that is only a issue with their 308 lowers and not the 556 lowers.
Hi GBmain, great questions all around. I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. I have only had experience with bcm (11.5" & 14.5"), geissele (14.5"), and colt (16") uppers so I can only speak for them. As far as accuracy for the upper receiver and retaining zero with factory handguard (for IR lasers), geissele was it based on MY experience. It is, however, heavier compared to the enhanced lightweight fluted barrel from bcm. Now, as for SHTF stuff, I tend to lean toward common gears that I can find lots of replacement parts for. Between the ADAC and the aero m4e1 lowers, both have never failed me, but If I could pick one, I would pick the aero for the following reasons: - Price, it's cheap - Common. You can find it anywhere. Though how often do you find yourself replacing your lower anyways. - Complexity. Less moving parts, less potential points of failure? - Gucciness. Because it is less gucci, less expensive, my monkey brain tends to pick it over the ADAC when it comes to training and trashing it around. This equates to me being more proficient with it. Bullet point number 2 is rather important. Lowers don't fail that often, if at all for a lot of civilian and their shooting schedule. If reliability is your concern, I think either one will serve you well. I don't think it's fair to compare an aero 556 with the trexarm 308 limit test. No one in their right mind would carry 5000 rounds of ammo (556 or 308) in a shtf situation along with a bucket of ice shooting and cooling in tight schedule. If it ever comes to that, oh man, I hope you have a team of buddies with you! The most that I have shot out of my aero lower at one time was a 4x30 round mag dump in under 2 minutes. Typical range day, I'd shoot around 150-250 rounds of 556. No pin walked out on me. The lower has been attached to a 11.5" bcm upper for a couple of years with roughly 4k rounds through it. Cleaned every other range day, still in good condition. Understood that my round count for that lower isn't that high, so please take it with a grain of salt. Cheers!
@@mrnoirstudio wow really appreciate the thorough response. Means alot. I currently have a complete ballistic advantage (aero) rifle but I haven’t shot it yet. My next rifle I will not be sooo concerned with budget and it will be specifically for a SHTF/do all purpose rifle. At first I was thinking maybe going with a complete LMT MARSL Piston 556 rifle but every time I look at it I just feel like the Piston premium just isn’t worth it over a quality DI rifle. Also in terms of parts compatibility, DI parts are everywhere, where as Piston ar’s not so much. did u buy your m4e1 lower pre built, or did u put it together? I bought mine prebuilt. Last question. In the lower of your ADAC, did u use geissele’s super 42 buffer spring and tube combo or do u think a basic aero complete lower will work more than fine with the SD upper? BTW u got my sub brother. Looking forward to future videos 🇺🇸💪🏻
I'd agree with you on the DI vs piston subject. Parts are everywhere for DI rifles. I bought my m4e1 stripped. Put a sd3g geissele trigger on it with their lower part kits from Geissele as well. I used a different lower part kit from an off brand company and had some issues with the magazine catch/release spring detain being 'too springy' which overpowered multiple magazine springs (mag pull 30 rounds gen 3 mags) and caused bolt failing to lock back on last round. Switched out the spring with one came with the geissele kit and it worked perfect. I could have just clipped a coil to solve the issue but it's my home defense rifle and I don't want to diy too much hahaha. In regard to the ADAC, I used an h2 buffer weight and an off brand spring for a while. Then I switched to the super 42 and lord was there a different. No more 'sprung' sound everytime you cycle a round. I don't know how to describe that sound/feeling on your shoulder. Highly recommend the super 42 buffer spring! Noise is gone, recoil feels much better too (or it could be placebo, who cares XD)
I’ve yet to find a charging handle that sucks the least. For suppressed. I have learned that Radian isn’t them. Currently running Geissele SCH. But don’t know who is better…. Yet.
That charging handle doesn't do anything. The best charging handle for suppressors is hands down from SilencerCo Gas Defeating Charging Handle. I have every single make and model of charging handles and by far the SilencerCo is the best.
Chunky boy. Haha 😅 Great build man 👏 my main squeeze also took a long time to finish building. I have other builds that I’ve made within a couple months with top name items but nothing shoots like my main squeeze.
Definitely. I am still in the process of refining mine and getting rid of a few items that honestly are there for the look rather than something I’d actually use. Expensive isn’t always the best 🥲Thank you for dropping by! I really appreciate it
Hey I was wondering what upper receiver you used to match the radian and geissele rail? And did you have to make any modification to the handguard to make it fit properly?
Congress needs to pass a law stating anyone supporting or voting for anti gun bills have to 100% completely give up their gun rights & not allowed to have armed protection. Including the president.
I’m just curious, are those Unity riser and fast mount really worth it? I just got my eotech and magnifying combo with the regular mounts and it seems totally great to me. Just wondering if paying another 400 for those Unity mounts really make a super big difference.
Honest answer? You will be fine/happy with the stock mounts. I just like how the magnifier is able to drop straight down the middle instead of hanging on the side to prevent potential snagging point. I think for most people, that is the reason why they went with the unity magnifying mount. Questions you need to ask yourself: 1. Is it worth the extra weight? 2. Will you have your magnifier on your gun 24/7? Do you actually train with your magnifier if that is the case? Does your range even support the use of magnifier (is it long enough)? If you say yes to all of the questions above, then yes I'd buy the unity. If you say no to any of it, then no. Absolutely will not spend the extra dollar for basically the same thing. The rise height is nice though for the eotech. hahaha
@@mrnoirstudio well, I don’t care about the weight cause I just bought a new Daniel defense sound guard suppressor for my PDW and that’s like 22oz or some shit, I live in Nevada so magnification is always welcome and I prob will keep it on always. So it’s tuff, I want to buy more suppressors and things but I do want the Unity as well. I wish it was half the cost. Last question, with the Unity mounts, does the magnifier block any part of the holographic sight? It seems like it might block it a little when in the down position but hard to tell.
Check out the ADM ambi lower. Much better. Also for gas the gdch works really well. Also you might look at some cable management mlok pieces. Or some camo form. Really nice video dude. Nice rifle as well.
@MrNoirStudio if you wouldn't mind let me know how it works. I've got the silencer co CH so it works pretty well but I might do it for my 13.9 criterion just to help the small amount I get
Oh man, I have been eyeing the Eotech 1-10 or the vortex for a while now. I am still sleeping on it. I have a solgw bolt carrier group but have yet to try out their lower! Will definitely visit their site the next time I need a new lower :) Thanks for watching!
You can lock the bolt back with the magazine release (same location for any normal ar). The bolt release of the ADAC is the button that’s above the magazine release. If you’re right handed.
I could see how that ambi release might be an issue. I currently run an AK, so getting my index HIGH is pretty intuitive for me these days. If I go with the A-DAC lower, I'll keep that in mind though.
Haha I mentioned before but if I could cover all the brand symbol/names on my stuff I would. The channel’s primary focus is training… I know it may sound hypocritical since this is a main squeeze video..
How’s the warcomp with the suppressor ?going to order a 14.5 from bcm and preferably have them pin and weld from factory for warranty sake unless it’s a no go I’ll chance it with LGS.
Very good question Wesley! When I was deciding whether or not to pin and weld the 3 prong warcomp to the 14.5", i kept on reading that people can hear the 'ting' sound while shooting, especially while shooting suppressed. I did notice a bit of that at the beginning, however, that noise quickly goes away after a few range day. Eventually you will have a very thin layer of carbon build up due to shooting suppressed and the 'ting' noise won't be an issue anymore. If you're really bothered about it, just go with the 4 prong or closed tine to be safe. But it's a non issue imo. Let me know if you have any more questions. Hope that helps.
@@mrnoirstudio I was more referring to the Reddit warriors saying it’s just not a great suppressor host overall and it locks up after 3 magazines 💀😂 do u have any input on that ? I’m a full time student I’m definitely not putting 1000 rounds a week thru my guns I’m just wanting a way into the suppressor world hassle free by having bcm do it. I would eventually go 11.5 and maybe try the 3 prong on that if they ever came in stock after all this brace mess.. other than the ting is that the only issue you’ve faced ?? I’m on my road to mojo as well
@@mrnoirstudio I would also be shooting a majority unsupressedfor a while .. until I can cough up more loan money towards a suppressor hahaha I know the warcomp is great in that regard
@@whynotwes lmao. Oh man I don't blame you on reading Reddit. Nothing wrong with doing research and save yourself some money. There are some truth to the info you found. The lock up can be semi-mitigated by putting a thin layer of gun oil and rub it on the 3prong (where the suppressor and the muzzle device meets). eventually with a lot of shooting, the gun oil will dry up and due to carbon build up, it will be a tad bit harder to remove the suppressor. This happens to all muzzle device (some more than others i supposed). I shoot roughly 100-150 rounds of 556 per range day. Mostly doing dynamic drills and conditioning, so I don't go through 1000 rounds per week either (who the hell has the money lolol). If you're like me, then I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have no problem removing the darn thing. There are other mechanical advantage to other suppressors on the market that will make it easier for you to combat carbon build up. I picked surefire due to the ruggedness. If it ever gets to the point where you can't remove the suppressor by hand, the suppressor was built so that you can just loosen the quick attach and shoot it off into a patch of grass and you will be just fine! Sorry for the long winded response.
@@mrnoirstudio man I appreciate the help I’ve watched your video like 10 times making sure it’s what I want. You didn’t have to go out of your way to type that up but u did so you’re a real one. Gained a subscribe from m… keep up the good content! Ordering the bcm 14.5 with pin/weld surefire warcomp rn I just needed some real answers/opinions.
Going to be a dumb reason, but as much as I love to show off all the company branding, at the range or on TH-cam, I’d rather focus on shooting more. Haha kinda ironic for a “main squeeze” video but I don’t plan on making much of these. !! Hit me up with a photo after you get it! I still haven’t seen a good photo on the ODG upper. It’s super flat shooting for me. You will enjoy it for sure!
@@mrnoirstudio the ODG super duty is amazing. Shoots smooth, trigger is crisp. Took it to a night shooting event and clipped a thermal on for easy 200m impacts. How can I forward you a photo?
Hi Seqnu, I built the lower myself from different piece parts. The upper was bought as a fully furnished upper receiver group from geissele except the bolt carrier group :) Cheers!
It runs very well. Aside from the extra weight, I have had no reliable issues. The reason why I kept it on is because it packs pretty nice and tight when I need it to. Not really meant for shooting while folded (can only let off one round) but more of a convenience for me! 👌🏼
When you purchase an ADAC lower, it comes with the bolt catch/release, mag drop button, upper receiver detains preinstalled. The radian safety levers will also be provided on the side (not installed) since you will have to install your own trigger group.
@@Ron55669 the ADAC kit does not come with a buffer tube, buffer spring or a pistol grip. You'd have to buy that separately. For buffer spring, I'd definitely go with a geissele super 43. It's super smooth and you won't hear the typical 'sprrrr' sound after shooting or racking a round.
Uhhh… your magnifier is like a lower 1/8th. What? The eotech is so much higher there’s no way you can see anything through the magnifier. Does anyone else see this?
Yeah that magnifier is looking at the bottom housing of the eotech. Does anyone else smell a heaping pile of bull 💩 here. Premium products, can’t use the magnifier though.
Both eotech and magnifier are sitting on unity tactical mounts. XD you’re probably not familiar with the magnifier Mount. When engaged, the magnifier will pop up to the height of the eotech.
This might be the perfect rifle, although I appreciate you giving your honest feedback about each part.
I took my law folder off and it saved a little bit of weight and also eliminated a potential failure point. Also ditched the magnifier. Nice build

I found a four prong in stock for retail and will be swapping soon
Chapstick works well to protect the lens of the flashlight from carbon.
:0 will use my fiancée chapstik. Thanks for the suggestions!! 🫠😂
@@mrnoirstudio its something small you can carry that works
Sick video dude! love the setup.
Hahaha oh man. I’m glad I shared some of my struggles as well then. Glad you found your liking at the end!
My dream setup
Love the ADAC, have it under my DDM4V1 upper. Rather than the eotech I'm rocking the Vortex Uh1 Gen2 and micro 3x. I also have the BCM, Dual Fuel and Dbal D2 so I understand the CHONKY rifle life. 👌
Wish I would've just got the surefire suppressor but have a Yankee Hill that was on sale last year for no BS, a THIRD the price.
Hell of a rifle !!
Switch from the warcomp to a normal flash hider from surefire and you won't get carbon lock, and carbon build up issues
Look for labyrinth seals on the SF flash hider not all of them have these rings around the circumference towards the back of the muzzle device
The flash hider or break with these labyrinth seals are what you want
if planning to shoot unsuppressed is the case, what would be the best surefire flash hider? warcomp or prong3/4?
You should look into arson machine wire guides for that light cable. They’re amazing
I switched from that stock to the none sopmod version. I'm also small so it being thinner felt better for me. Nice set up man. I have the 11.5 with the rc2 as well with eotech and same light but on a lightbar from trex so it ends up almost flush with the can.
What trigger are you using, the Geissele SD3G? Also, love the build. I have 3 Radian builds and I love the ADAC.
I returned my eotech cause it was heavy. Got a micro red dot instead, probably the best decision I've ever made for my set up.
I’m glad the switch works out well for you 👌🏼💪🏼
What are the metal rail covers? Oh you answered it. Thank you vz grip
Bro I have the same exact rifle. Looks nice and excellent choice in parts
Lits git it!!! :)
Ditch the Warcomp. My mk18 had one and it had to go… the mount would constantly carbon lock.
if planning to shoot unsuppressed is the case, what would be the best surefire flash hider? warcomp or prong3/4?
Between the ADAC and the aero m4e1 lowers, both have never failed me, but If I could pick one, I would pick the aero for the following reasons:
- Price, it's cheap
- Common.
Yet.
The PRI M84 charging handle mitigates a good amount of gas blowback.
Look into the Radian Raptor-SD charging handle. It will help with that blowback.
That charging handle doesn't do anything. The best charging handle for suppressors is hands down from SilencerCo Gas Defeating Charging Handle. I have every single make and model of charging handles and by far the SilencerCo is the best.
I’m gonna buy a ar soon was thinking of going with a geissele upper or the bcm leaning towards the geissele tho!
What lower are you using with the 14.5 upper.. Can you list all parts in combination being utilized... I like the setup.
Radian adac lower
Chunky boy. Haha 😅
Great build man 👏 my main squeeze also took a long time to finish building.
I really appreciate it
@@mrnoirstudio sick you got yourself a new follower bud 🤙
You could try a vented Forward Assist (for Can use), I don't know if they mass produce them but there are a few people I see swear by them.
Hey I was wondering what upper receiver you used to match the radian and geissele rail? And did you have to make any modification to the handguard to make it fit properly?
No modification. You can buy the whole upper straight from geissele. Mine just didn’t come with a bolt carrier group so I used bcm:)
Congress needs to pass a law stating anyone supporting or voting for anti gun bills have to 100% completely give up their gun rights & not allowed to have armed protection. Including the president.
i like the chill music
I’m just curious, are those Unity riser and fast mount really worth it? I just got my eotech and magnifying combo with the regular mounts and it seems totally great to me. Just wondering if paying another 400 for those Unity mounts really make a super big difference.
Honest answer? You will be fine/happy with the stock mounts. I just like how the magnifier is able to drop straight down the middle instead of hanging on the side to prevent potential snagging point. I think for most people, that is the reason why they went with the unity magnifying mount. Questions you need to ask yourself:
The rise height is nice though for the eotech. hahaha
@@mrnoirstudio well, I don’t care about the weight cause I just bought a new Daniel defense sound guard suppressor for my PDW and that’s like 22oz or some shit,
I live in Nevada so magnification is always welcome and I prob will keep it on always. So it’s tuff, I want to buy more suppressors and things but I do want the Unity as well. I wish it was half the cost.
Last question, with the Unity mounts, does the magnifier block any part of the holographic sight? It seems like it might block it a little when in the down position but hard to tell.
It doesn’t block anything
If you use a k2 grip it has the little nub which will make it easier to reach the ambi bolt catch
Oh interesting, I will look into this. Thank you for the suggestion 👁️🫦👁️
Look into a Bootleg BCG I had the same issue with blow back and it took care of it
Check out the ADM ambi lower. Much better. Also for gas the gdch works really well. Also you might look at some cable management mlok pieces. Or some camo form. Really nice video dude. Nice rifle as well.
Also I think guns and gadgets did a video.on silicone on the shelf of the charging handle step by step to stop gas as well.
I saw it as well! Will put some silicone on to see if it helps
@MrNoirStudio if you wouldn't mind let me know how it works. I've got the silencer co CH so it works pretty well but I might do it for my 13.9 criterion just to help the small amount I get
try an LPVO, and good point on radian lower you can snag a solgw lower for 140 bucks and the quality fit and finish is great
Oh man, I have been eyeing the Eotech 1-10 or the vortex for a while now. I am still sleeping on it. I have a solgw bolt carrier group but have yet to try out their lower! Will definitely visit their site the next time I need a new lower :) Thanks for watching!
Is that the Arisaka Handstop? All my uppers have one, good for indexing, too.
BCM
Im building a rifle almost exactly like this and jut happened to find this video (Im just doing tan instead) good stuff
I hope you completed your build and enjoying it. Thanks for watching
Nice build What size is that guardrail?
Its 13.5” from geissele :)
I literally built the same set up in ODG yesterday lol no folder.
Can you lock the bolt back with that same bolt release you used with your index finger ?
You can lock the bolt back with the magazine release (same location for any normal ar). The bolt release of the ADAC is the button that’s above the magazine release. If you’re right handed.
I could see how that ambi release might be an issue. I currently run an AK, so getting my index HIGH is pretty intuitive for me these days. If I go with the A-DAC lower, I'll keep that in mind though.
Thanks for sharing! Btw nice song in the background! What’s that song?:)
Any bag suggestions for this set up?
Hey idk if I missed it but what light are you using?
What length is your handguard?
Why do you tape the eotech emblem? Is it because everyone on TH-cam does it or ??? .

Not too many rounds through this upper. Roughly 1500.
How does it run with that law tactical folder?
It runs very well. Aside from the extra weight, I have had no reliable issues. The reason why I kept it on is because it packs pretty nice and tight when I need it to. Not really meant for shooting while folded (can only let off one round) but more of a convenience for me! 👌🏼
@@mrnoirstudio price?

Can you buy a complete ADAC or do they all come stripped?
When you purchase an ADAC lower, it comes with the bolt catch/release, mag drop button, upper receiver detains preinstalled. The radian safety levers will also be provided on the side (not installed) since you will have to install your own trigger group.
@@mrnoirstudio okay thanks. What about a buffer tube?
@@Ron55669 the ADAC kit does not come with a buffer tube, buffer spring or a pistol grip. You'd have to buy that separately. For buffer spring, I'd definitely go with a geissele super 43. It's super smooth and you won't hear the typical 'sprrrr' sound after shooting or racking a round.
