      Hi. Does the mountain peak side wall go on outside and knive edge inside or does it not matter? As long as the same sequence is apply on all 4 Tyres.

    Thanks! Looking forward to the long term review. The way this was presented is that you shouldn't need any other 4WD tyre but Cooper still have a range so they must each have a niche. I would liked to hear a comparison to the other Cooper tyres either side (i.e the ST Maxx and the AT3) to make it easier to choose. eg: where is this better than an AT3, where is the AT3 better than this? Maybe you can include this in your update soon.

    If they make it in an XL load rated, 245/65/17, It would be an excellent alternative, to my excellent, Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's

    • @rwest5386
      @rwest5386 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alexislandaverde1361 XL, stands for extra load, which is stronger than, SL standard load. LT, stands for light truck and has different load ratings, like C,D ,E, F. In any given size, say 245/70/16, you might find tires rated SL, XL or LT and within LT, they may be C, D, or E, load rated. In that size, an XL load rated tire and a C load rated tire are rated for the same load but at different tire pressures. An XL tire, in any size, generally has a max pressure of ~ 50psi, while an LT tire will have a max pressure of 50, 65 or 80psi, depending on it's rated load, C being 50psi, D @65psi and E @ 80 psi. In addition, C rated is considered a 6 ply tire, D an 8, and E a 10.

    Are they three peak winter rated, as a Canadian I say no one makes a truly decent winter rated off road tire!

    • @nirfz
      @nirfz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The soft compound you want for freezing temperatures doesn't work with offroad tires as they would wear ultra fast.
      And the hard compound offroad tires have to withstand offroad use doesn't work well in winter.

    • @R1Kyle
      @R1Kyle ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nirfz There are multiple brands / models of off road tires that have the 3 peak snow flake, some better then others in winter conditions. I was stating that they do not make a good off road tread in a good selection of sizes that are better in the winter. the Baja Boss AT's are ok, I would love to see them studable or even in a more dedicated winter compound and I would gladly have two sets, one for summer and one for winter.

      These do have the 3 peak I bought em livin In Ontario they handle good in deep snow but light snow not so much

      The 3pmsf... some time ago, i looked up what a tire needs to qualify for that, and while it is more than for the M&S, it's not much:
      It just needs to provide "more grip than a standard summer tire on snow".
      And sure some AT tires will be better in the snow than others, and some will be better on cold wet roads than others, but they are far away from the grip and safety that winter tires provide.
      But winter tires don't look that good...
      And as i tried to explain in my first post: if they make make most current AT treads in winter compounds, your tires will be shredded the first time you hit anything offroad. (Or when the car has lot's of power the tires would also suffer extremely on dry roads.
      The tires would be too soft for offroad treat patterns and tread depth, and blocks of rubber would get riped off.
      Btw.: if you look for Nokian Tires, you could get lucky, the finns make strange things too. (Maybe they dostudded AT tires)

    More tread depth than OE tyre. Scratching my head here. What is the Cooper rep talking about? Only know of 2 vehicles sold with AT tyres from the factory and pretty sure both are BFG so is Cooper saying that they have more tread than BFG? Ultimate wet grip, if true then that is fantastic because up to now Cooper have had some of the worst wet grip compared to all other established brands. Look forward to independent reviews on these tyres to convince me. Cheers.

    So you're spruiking about 14.6 mm tread depth when that's about the average for this style of tyre, Baja Boss A/T for example 14.7mm, that's just deceptive, by my shitty state school education 14.6 to 9 or 10 mm OEM tread depth does not equate to having 60% more, I have nothing against cooper tyres, I just don't appreciate someone bullshitting in my ear while trying to open my wallet. If the product is good quality, it will stand on a pedestal of truth.

    • @barryvesperman9264
      @barryvesperman9264 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At the state school I went to 9.0mm less 4.6mm is 5.6mm; 5.6mm divided by 9.0mm is 0.62, so a 62.2% increase in tread depth.
