I would have liked to spend another night and showcase the tent some more, especially in rain! But it was just a little too extreme with hail and tornadoes on the radar. Let me know if you'd enjoy more trips along these lines! Thanks for watching.

Yes, that, and also a video on how you pack up the tent and dry it out. Also, did the guylines/tie-outs come pre-attached and ready to use, or did you have to attach them all yourselves. If the latter, a video on doing that would be helpful. Thanks for this video!

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind about packing and drying. For now I can say that for me the best way to dry and clean the tent is to keep the poles installed and then hang it upside down, attaching to the staking points at both ends (the metal rings). I do this in my basement, and I use hooks attached to the floor joists. This way I can stretch the tent out and run a fan/dehumidifier and easily reach all areas for any cleaning necessary. Partially unzip everything to maintain structure but permit airflow.
I purchased this tent used, so I can't be sure if the guylines were already attached. However, it seems like they were because everything is so uniform. I'm sure Hilleberg could answer that question quickly.

By far the best in-depth review of the Kaitum. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much!

Great review! I've been going back and forth between Nammatj, Nallo and Kaitum. As a fairly tall guy this really turns me to Kaitum as height on the feet end appears adequate which appears not being the case with all others.

Thank you! Yes, I believe the slope of the other two options will result in your feet touching the fabric and this really isn't good for several reasons. (If you're over, say, 6 ft / 183cm)

Why did you choose the Kaitum GT over the Nallo GT?

Great question, it's because the Nallo has the sloped foot end, which is not good for taller people. After accounting for sleeping pad thickness and height of the sleeping bag, there will be contact and compression against the sloped wall. The Kaitum maintains the tunnel shape, so therefore the wall at the foot end is vertical and avoids those problems.
