What do you think? I love the style of Kurt's set up. I put a link to that awesome wind instrument midi controller in the description - that was one of my favorite parts.
Bro the other day I got that veggie tales cheeseburger song stuck in my head trying to explain it to someone. I wonder if he was the one who did that?!
Nice place. BUT, and we're always concernend with that, how does he manage the... dust? (The dust, our lifetime enemy we fight every Synday with a Swiffer...)
As a fellow "band geek" and clarinet player, the wind controllers spoke to me as well. I own both the EWI (the usb version he mentioned) and the Roland Aerophone. Both are great options.
probably the best studio tour. I love how he talks about his experience with music and it is totally different than just showing some mixers and sythesisers.
Man, this is by far one of your most entertaining videos. Such a nice guy explaining absolutely everything to you with such a humble approach. Took the time to show you every corner and instrument. Amazing!!!
Just wanna say thanks! So glad that this was captured so that all the history and stories can hopefully live on in the archives for the world and his family for many years to come.
I watch A LOT of your videos - Kurt is one of the best interviews and most unique! A+ work as always. The MOST important thing IMO is when he said he has 4 mics ready to go at a moments notice; pick up an instrument, record, & play. That is what I have been working to achieve at home and am about a month away from being complete. 3 switches - and I am jamming on ALL my synths. Patchbays are a love hate relationship.
I got the same organ with all original paperwork from 1981 for free on Craigslist. SO rad. Super helpful writing tool but oh my lord the thing weighs as much as my car. I actually got it the same week this video was posted. Which according to the receipt was exactly 40 years after it was first bought in '81
Absolutely loved this one! I always thought I was a bit weird collecting "Pots and Pans and cheap noise makers" from old shops...now I feel empowered!!! Cool guy, great studio!!!
This was a great studio tour! Thanks Kurt and Andrew. I especially liked the way Kurt shared insites into his process and little musical examples. I often watch these tours and wish the studio owner would share a little bit of what they're working on. Kurt seems like a super-cool guy.
Can you imagine waking up, seeing theres a new studio tour, watching it, and then pushing the thumbs down? I look forward to these so much I can’t even imagine haha people are so crazy
I loved what Kurt said about keeping a fun (yet still professional) space that gets messy. It's easy to focus on everything LOOKING pristine, but that isn't always conducive to the flow of creative ideas.
17:59 A... reFURbishment ;) ... I'll let myself out... Fr, tho, that wall of flutes is one of the absolute COOLEST things I've seen in ANY studio tour on ANY channel ever! And the whole vibe, overall, it's a space so creatively reinforcing its creator, and I think that alone is a great lesson here! Thanks for posting! ... OK, P.S., he and probably Tom Waits are the only people I'd guess have purchased a helicon in like 200 years! lol ... ... P.P.S. - "Dead Sea Squirrels"... I'm *DYING*! LOL
His work station area looks a bit like a blend between memories from travelling all over the world and som steampunk influences too. Like it. Creative atmosphere.
Sony MDR7506: I also use that since the early 90s (called MDR-V7 in this time). Yes I use other headphones too, often more expensive, but the MDR7506 are one of my references since 30 years.
Fascinating and fantastic. The inspiration from the time spent on this room is without a parallel. My hat's off when I look at 90% of home space recording. Just wonderful. ❤
...23:28... "U-Bass" is an actual product made by Kala... Looks much like the single neck / bass portion of that custom made double neck one of yours... Kala created and now makes several different models, including fretless... They are amazing - depending on what they are run through - they can sound like the biggest, baddest upright bass ever - all in a package the size of a tenor uke - like you said!... I Love mine!
It's really refreshing to see a studio that isn't crammed full of top end gear, most of the time I'm not convinced these people use or need all of the boxes full of flashing lights they have
A great take-away for me was "it works for me and what I do." I've spent wayyyy too much money on high-end gear only to find that it didn't work for me.Thanks for the studio tour! Also, Franklin is a great little town!!
yet another fantastic video! i just love this series! you find the best people! and yeah i can relate. i'm super into photography, was a graphic designer in a previous life, and am a long time software engineer super stuck into the start up world (well my last company was just acquired 18 months ago, so i'm just building my next thing while keeping the day job).... so yeah, constantly making things! all the time! lol!
Every bulb and string of lights is LED. On the production side, I don’t have a lot of outboard gear, so not pulling as much electricity as you might think.
G'day Andrew, quick tech question. When you are running DI & Reamped sounds do you seperate them sonically? Ie. DI lowpassed to have bottom frequencies. Re amp high passed to cover mid and high frequencies? Any feedback would be great. Thanks for another quality video 👌

@@FLH3official I KNOW! I take everything down and dust from time to time…

This is invaluable. Great work bro
THIS is how a studio should be, limitless inspiration and stimuli.
probably the best studio tour. I love how he talks about his experience with music and it is totally different than just showing some mixers and sythesisers.
Finally! A man that works and sits in his chair in the exact same way that I do in my studio!!! :)
I've seen more Veggie Tales than I care to admit, my kids loved that stuff growing up. The music is great, nice to meet the man behind the music!
So have I 😁😁😁
My favorite episode yet! Not only is Kurt immensely talented, but he's also an incredibly nice guy.
A very incredibly guy
Man, this is by far one of your most entertaining videos. Such a nice guy explaining absolutely everything to you with such a humble approach. Took the time to show you every corner and instrument. Amazing!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love this series for how its both more relaxed than your typical studio tours but also much more in depth, really awesome work Andrew.
Just wanna say thanks! So glad that this was captured so that all the history and stories can hopefully live on in the archives for the world and his family for many years to come.

I enjoyed this video so much!!! Such a cool guy .. thanks for the video. Gettings from colombia!!! 🇨🇴🇨🇴
He's so willing and excited to share his (very useful) knowledge. Great episode, love hearing people play their instruments too!
Wow! What a neat guy! Thanks for sharing!!
He's an incredibly deep and interesting guy. Really enjoyed this vid.
This is one of my favorite studio tours on all of TH-cam. Thank you so much for sharing this, Andrew and Kurt!
What a fun, interactive studio!! Like a big toy box!!!
I got the same organ with all original paperwork from 1981 for free on Craigslist. SO rad. Super helpful writing tool but oh my lord the thing weighs as much as my car.

Always nice to see a studio that deals with something different than I’m used to. Horns. Don’t see that very often myself.
The man the myth the legend!!! Grew up on veggie tales and it was really cool to find this studio.
Best one yet. Seriously great working room ready to go. Maximum Respect
Comfortable is a great description for this studio. Really love the atmosphere. Thanks, guys :)
Glad you like it!

Keep Spreading The Love ❤
Aye that My Blood baseline was sick man, great recreation!
Hey thanks for noticing!
I love all the brass instruments hung up all around the studio.
Kurt would make an amazing TH-camr. Imagine all the crazy rabbit holes he could go down with all those instruments!
This is TH-cam... 🤔
That new lens is CRISPY!
Right??? Thanks dude!
@@AndrewMasters What kind of lens? Sigma 18-35mm maybe?
Canon RF 15-35 2.8
one of the best shows so far. great room and a very interesting producer creator. thank you ! 🤩

Incredible to hear a master user show his shortcuts and techniques! Thx
I loved what Kurt said about keeping a fun (yet still professional) space that gets messy. It's easy to focus on everything LOOKING pristine, but that isn't always conducive to the flow of creative ideas.
"Switched On Bach" was one of the albums in our family music collection growing up. That and "
Moog: The Electric Eclectics of Dick Hyman."

Thanks, you too!
Most creative studio ever and such an inspiring dude!
Great video! Kurt has it figured out!
Coming back for 3rds on this video,, love this studio and all his toys
I Love how my dude has his main consel set up like he is a Pilot !!! So amazing!...Now I want 2 be a music pilot!
Always inspiring and uplifting. I love seeing the older event speakers. Great episode. Cheers.
" I dont drink beer" The only disappointing 2 sec of this amazing studio tour
This Man has all the Magic piled into that space ALL THE DAMN MAGIC 😍 😍
What a legend! Grew up on Veggie Tales. His music is forever engraved in my head 😆
This place looks awesome! I'd have so much fun in there playing around with percussion and those little sparkling things for songs.
That was great. I learned a lot. I think Kurt would have a lot to offer the TH-cam community if he had a semi-regular "show."
That bass does sound cool, cool riff too.
Was trying to imagine the song around it.
didn't even realize you'd got a Sweetwater sponsorship! they really know what's up, good for you
His work station area looks a bit like a blend between memories from travelling all over the world and som steampunk influences too. Like it. Creative atmosphere.
This is my first time seeing a woodwind midi controller, very tempted to buy one right now lol
that twenty one pilots bassline sounding slick ;) great song and love the re-amping
This is so amazing and inspiring.
Bro that new lens is CRISP!! Looks so good man and what a dope place!
I love rooms like this. I hate dust though. Dusting everything is also worse.

True recording pro. Glad to see a master at work!
i like how he got the bach sheet music ready to go!
Wow both Kurt hinecke and
Cobain are really cool artists!
As a drummer myself, I was looking into a similar set up of Warm Audio 1073s. Glad to hear things are working out for you! :)
Love the way it looks..
I want to meet this guy! Finally, someone who thinks/produces music like me!
Wow! I work at the repair shop where Kurt takes all his brass instruments to be worked on. What a small world haha
Love his instrument variation. He has fun for real
I like the way he deals with gravity
ayyyyyyy I spy a pedalboard wall behind you. Vance Powell starting trends in Nashville!
(GASPS)
Holy Schnidle-flap! That's a lot of instruments in Kurt Heinecke's studio!
You gotta love Sweetwater!!!
So many hits! The Cheeseburger song, Where is my hairbrush, escuchen el pepino!
Dance of the cucumber!
If you ever get the chance to go to Germany you should do a studio tour of Hainbach's studio!
A great, fun, studio. Thanks for the tour.
ayyy was that bass at the start from my blood?
Sure is!

What state is this Franklin in? There may be a Franklin in every state. We have a Franklin in my state, New Hampshire.
Loved this video. Really intoresting
Outstanding interview man! Sittings tips are super important. Don't hear too much about health aspects usually from audio guys.

Hey I have the Nektar Impact 61! Smaller version of his, it's one of the best master keyboards in my opinion
Awesome channel!
What a collection!
stream deck in the studio is brilliant
Great Channel ... Thanks for the inspiration, greetings from Manizales - Colombia...¡¡
He’s got Larry the Cucumber!!!! One of my favorite VeggieTales characters!!!!
Prrrrrre
Liiiiiiiiking
I miss my Event 20/20's!
The SM57 is just not as good as the 57beta. Same frequency response with a higher output level with a lower noise level. Love this series of vids!
Kurt is amazing!
Very nice studio!!! I would like to know how you can have everything plugged in and on without blowing fuses or starting fires?
Every bulb and string of lights is LED. On the production side, I don’t have a lot of outboard gear, so not pulling as much electricity as you might think.
Never liked the SM57 mic. Great video
amazing
That’s my kind of studio
...22:35... "The Cheese Factor".... Love it!!!.... My new Mantra - Always include something Acoustic in all electronic musics....
What a mess of a place so much stuff. I could not work in that invierment but I get it.
Amazing one
This is a vibe
major Jacob Collier vibes in this room
What's the new lens? Is it a 35? 24?
