Mama Doctor Jones lol! That reminds me of a time when I was taking a proctored exam online that had a camera that could see 360 around the room I was in. My husband walks into the room naked after taking a shower because he needed to grab something. As the camera records sound and my face, I couldn’t make any noise or look away from the screen as I wildly gestures for him to leave. But damn if it wasn’t hilarious.
Yeah pineapple also contains an enzyme that breaks down proteins. That’s why it can hurt if you eat too much. There’s actually some benefits to drinking small amounts of coffee regularly, but the caffeine can cause problems if you drink large amounts regularly.
Placenta black market? Literally millions of women give birth every year. If they just sold all the placentas, wouldn’t they be easily available and in turn not expensive? The logic makes no sense. If they had to buy one for $50k on the black market that would mean they weren’t just readily available.
@BabyUnicornio but good quality long human hair takes many years to grown. you don't often cut 20 inches or more of healthy, undyed hair, it's rare and therefore expensive. i don't know what this placenta black market is exactly for (medicinal purposes?) but it's "easier" and "quicker" to come by than long healthy hair, so it would be cheaper.
The coffee thing is kind of the same thing as my dog.........don’t like it? Got news for you buddy......the dog and the coffee were both here first. And there’s the door, don’t let it hit you.....or do.....whatever gets you through it the quickest. 😂
that “lady juice” one does not sit well with me- especially when she insinuates that if you want to be “acceptable” to date, your first priority should be making sure that your body is geared towards someone else’s sexual experience? like what?
I realize this is old, but somewhat related: when I got my iud, I asked if I would feel it on a day to day basis. She was quick to inform me that my partner would not feel it during PIV, which is not my concern. I want to know if I will constantly be aware of a medical device, in this moment I do not care what my partner feels.
I also feel like she was suggesting you’ll smell like fish if you eat fish. No, you’ll smell like fish if you don’t wash. And if you do wash, you’ll smell & taste fine.
The casual heteronormativity made me roll my apples but the active shaming and making one limit their diet to appeal to a guy is... annoying. She should stick to something she understands. This topic is not it.
I would like the miscarriage girl to explain to me why sometimes I have a heavier/ more painful period and I haven’t had sex with a man in at least 7 years. I don’t think my girlfriend got me pregnant 🤷🏻♀️
I had the issues she describes for over 8 years, until I was on the pill. So clearly by her false equivalency I was having miscarriages nearly every month without ever having sex 😂 (though the real answer is ovarian cysts, and possibly undiagnosed endometriosis).
There’s no black market for placentas in the US? So if, theoretically, I were to start illegally selling placentas, there wouldn’t be any competition? Theoretically.
The miscarriage TikTok is so irresponsible (well they all are tbh). So many teenagers who get periods are going to think they’re having miscarriages because their period is slightly different, which is just going to cause unnecessary stress and even trauma.
Rania I agree 100%, when I was younger I had extremely irregular periods, and had I seen these tiktoks once I started becoming sexually active, I know for a fact I would have thought I was going through constant miscarriages. These tiktoks are extremely disgusting spreading terror like that specially to impressionable young people
My thought was, dude, every single time my period starts, the first blood coming out is very much brown and my cramps usually happen on that first day only. And it'll become heavier and redder and less crampy towards the second day. Pretty sure I haven't had a miscarriage every single month since I was 13 :p But really sad that some people are going to consider miscarriage even if it looks like their regular old period just because stuff like that is out there. Imagine you've been trying for a baby and your period comes just as usual but with more cramps and you end up suspecting a miscarriage and feel like rushing to your doctor.
It just seems crazy to me since I've never been sexually active and I've had some wild periods similar to what she's describing. She's definitely scared the hell out of some folks!
I’ve never had normal regular periods even though I’m in my late 20s every month my body decides which variety I will be getting. Sometimes it’s debilitating cramps and other times it’s a light period that lasts for 3 days with no other symptoms. When I asked the doctor about this they said it was normal for my age so telling me that I know what my normal is is misleading
Fiona Lind eh, at least Wikipedia somewhat checks for accuracy now. Like it’s not a good source, but it’s typically better than just diving off the deep end into a google search. Particularly since what you get in a search really depends on how you word it.
Fiona Lind You didn’t upset me and it’s all good. Also, your English is fine. Honestly, most people I meet who are insecure about their English speak better than some native speakers I’ve met.
For that lady juice video, the easy proof that she has no idea what she's talking about is she said that acidic foods make you smell bad but then suggests that pineapples and mangoes are great which are among the most acidic fruits you can eat safe for like lemons LOL. Good job with consistency there girl. Besides dietary pH is known to have very little effect on body pH for the same reason that drinking alkaline water for health is a long known myth...
Well that could be argued from ignorance on explaining maybe she meant things with added sugars like corn syrup and glucose while fruits are generally higher in natural fructose and fiber. Anyway she's completely wrong on virtually every point lol
Omg so true! And the fact that yogurt gives you infections? Yogurt bacteria contributes to heathy gut bacteria. It does not cause infections at all. It has more to do with colon health rather than vaginal health.
And if it does, there's probably something wrong! 😂😂 people kill me. I love my normal vagina smell. It just smells like a healthy VAGINA not some flower or fruity drink 😂

MorbidMaddi and older people as well. My mom sees these and believes them. She sends these videos to me all the time as I am currently pregnant, and gets terrified of hospitals, doctors, and OBGYNs. It’s incredibly frustrating! I try to tell her to talk to my doctors, or do more research but she is like “no, a true ‘doctor’ online has posted a video and they are exposing the truth that these hospitals are trying to hide.” So fristrating
I honestly just hope kids have enough sense to do their own research. Especially people recommending pills & drinks, because Even if a doctor prescribes something I’m definitely going over side effects
Maybe a part, yes, but I assume most really young children don't go out looking for sex/pregnancy stuff. Teens will but teens have grown up with the internet. They've had classes on how to deal with internet and internet carefulness since their primary school. Most show more critic assesment skills of social media and internet sources than +30 adults. However, just like with any age group, at least a fifth and probably a fourth is very very gullible and a bit less savvy and this is probably also the group that won't do their research after hearing such a thing. But we shouldn't underestimate them, last I checked it's grandparents falling for hoaxes and children and teens being the critical consumers
2:41 "I don't think there even is a black market for plcenta here in the US, but if there is, you can just request your placenta and sell it yourself." Laughing so hard
I mean she is not wrong. It’s your placenta, if there’s truly a black market for placentas and you don’t want the hospital to make a “profit” out of it, just for it back and go sell it yourself 😂
I think people are now sending it to a service that cooks it and compacts it to capsules... to be taken to increase your milk production. I don’t believe it... but some people do. No, I never did it.
This isn’t to hate on anyone but the fact that one of them was wearing a stethoscope probably made people feel more susceptible to what she was saying even when it’s wrong
I really REALLY hated that. Until you are an MD don't NOT wear uniforms or any other indication you are a professional because you will mislead people.
I am a single father of a 10 year old girl and I thank you for helping me prepare for the questions she will have. So informative and entertaining. Please keep up the good work.
Man, dedication, I bet your daughter will grow up into a wonderful wonderful person, and I have a feeling that you are a good father. Keep up the good work, and here's some advice. Get her chocolate and coffee when she starts her periods, not large amounts of coffee, like, a very small amount, be sure to also get Midol, and a heating pad, too, and do not forget getting a variety of sanitary products such as pads, tampons, menstrual cups, period underpants, both disposable and reusable, etc. If you run out of Midol, Tylenol works, too.
I’m actually quite upset at the pretend doctor schooling us on miscarriages and periods. It’s so wrong it hurts. It’s really upsetting and I don’t know why
Yeah. That's what got me most about that video. People are going to believe her due to that appeal to authority. That bothers me more than anything she said.
@@MamaDoctorJones I feel like maybe she's misinterpreted something she's learned and thinks that she's doing some good - it's a shame that it's totally misinformed but most people on ticktock are easily blinded by misinformation because shock value = views It's kind of a shame that a lot of the comments are cancelling her specifically when a lot of the videos were just as misinformed. Even though her video specifically has the potential to stir up the most anxiety or fear in nervous mothers, I don't think there was any malice behind it.
Daisylovers 365 she didn’t say she was a dumb med student. Just that she is a mess student who should know better about what she is saying before spreading incorrect information
I completely agree with your take on the vaginal smell/taste video. The most frustrating thing about it is the idea that your vagina has to smell "good" instead of normal. Vaginas are supposed to smell like vaginas, not a fruit basket or garden. Reminds me of a section of the monologue "Angry Vagina" from "The Vagina Monologues".
And also, it's a part of YOUR body. The idea of being pressured to change it just for a partner or to get a partner is cringy. Us with the vaginas can do better than that.
TrekBeatTK right? I just stared at my phone for a few seconds...and the disgusted and quizzical looks on my face grew more exaggerated as the clip went on. Like...wtf. WTAF.
Former postpartum nurse here. I never stole a placenta. I usually just tossed it in the medical waste trash. Every once in a while I threw it in a bucket and drowned it in formalin to send off to pathology 😂
But the cute girl on Tik Tok sucked and chewed her lower lip when she said it! That's like150% reliable truth when that happens! I'm supremely confident to the max that "pretty Tik Tok'er lip-suckers" hold the same level of infallibility as the pope.

Random TikTok girl: if it’s like, rly painful and it’s kinda brown, you’re like, having a miscarriage Me, a 14 year old who has never even had a boyfriend: the more you know I guess?
It's such a weird take because...brown blood is normal for the start and end of periods. It just means it's older blood and has taken longer to leave your body.
@@ivetterodriguez1994 Yeah, it is. Blood turns darker as it gets older and becomes oxidised. Totally normal. Mine is bright red but that's because I'm very heavy so there's a lot of fresh blood.
Yeah, like pussy is not supposed to be sweet, it is almost always a little acidic and if a person won’t go down on you cause you don’t taste like a candy shop that’s their problem, not yours and it’s kinda sad that anyone would have to change their diet and habits just so their partner will eat them out
I almost always have brown blood at some point in my period. It's just old blood, it doesn't mean you're miscarrying. It's blood that's been sitting in your uterus for a while.
When you get a wound and leave it for a while the blood will eventually turn brown because it’s been exposed to oxygen and has oxidized. This is no different than that.
the first tiktok just confused me because you can request to keep them? if there was something truly sinister going on, they wouldnt give you that option because $50,000 is FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS hahahah
My issue was the baby. Their cord stops pulsing and is essentially drained of blood in under 5 minutes. Most of that is the first couple minutes. You're not taking anything from the baby after that time.
rainbow river it’s been shown that lotus births have an increased risk of sepsis from the decaying placenta. Delayed cord clamping has definitely shown to be helpful to a child but that’s usually only 1-5 minutes. Not 3-10 days.

@10:49 I remember in high school I was super concerned abt my testosterone versus estrogen levels, and I was scared that the fact I was drinking soy milk would make my estrogen levels high/mask my T levels (I’m ftm and hadn’t started HRT yet) and my weightlifting teacher was just like “uh dude no we don’t process plant hormones like that” so shoutout to him for letting me drink my plant milk lattes in peace
Oof, my coach was the opposite and said he doesn't eat canned foods cause they have higher estrogen and doesn't eat ramen noodles cause of the same reason. He was such a weird balance of super supportive but perpetuating toxic masculinity
Dylan Fooler fr tho, no food you eat can unbalance your testosterone/estrogen levels to the point where it would have ANY physical or psychological effect
K M This was in Tennessee. I also had a CSection in 2015 in Orlando, FL but they didn’t mention anything about it to me. But my placenta then was sent to pathology due to PPROM (preterm premature rupture of membranes).
Here (in Finland) you can actually donate placenta blood for a blood bank. This blood has stem cells in it and can be used to stemm cell theraphy, if it finds a suitable match. It cannot always be collected, but to collect it you need to agree in it well before the birth. Yet it is propably easiest way to donate stem cells. I've understood that the usual way can be rather painful. Also nobody is paid anything, as the blood bank is kept by a non profit organisation.

The last one really threw me because it’s clearly advise her doctor gave her because of issues going on with her personally, why would broadcast that? It’s not like her OBGYN was like, hey here’s this trick - no sis, this is specific to what’s happening in your own vag - mind your own! 🤦♀️
Yeah like... I never knew it existed until my doctor decided to try me on it after issues with back and forth yeast to bacterial infections. Treating one would screw up my pH and result in infection with the other again. The suppositories work great and I haven't had another infection in about two years! I also get frequent UTIs, so it's just a necessary thing for me and my clearly cruddy immune system. But I don't go telling people they should be trying something my doctor told me personally to try? That's just weird to me. I would instead say "here's a thing that worked for me that you can ask YOUR doctor about."

I kept my placentas and donated to a search and rescue dog organization. They use them to train rescue dogs to find people who are lost and injured. Pretty amazing to think that because of bringing a life into the world, a part of my body I no longer need can then go toward saving more lives!
I thought I had an early miscarriage bc of that myth so I ignored my symptoms. A few months later I was in the ER for a ruptured cyst. Got surgery to remove a 7cm and 3 cm endometrioma. Your pain matters!
My mother tells me that the immense amount of pain that has made me throw up before from my period is normal. She used to be a nurse and even I know that it's not normal. Apparently it's a symptom of endometriosis
No it's not "normal," endometriosis is a condition which causes (amongst other symptoms), very painful periods. But some people do have more painful periods than others, that's normal because everyone is different. But if anything is so painful that you throw up/pass out/can't get out of bed/miss school or work, then that isn't normal!
My first period was brown and every subsequent period after that would be brown towards the end. I guess virgin pregnancy happens way more often than we thought
Lmao my period started brown for YEARS, accompanied by really bad back pain to the point I could not stand. Always brown the first 2 days, then red, then brown again. For like 10 years I had like 4 miscarriages once a month? Nice.
It's makes me sad that all these videos are out here and some people actually take them as fact. The miscarriage one really got to me since I've personally experienced it. As usually Mama Jones speaks about it so well though.
I agree completely. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, Kita Boo. I'm currently recovering from one myself, so I've done quite a lot of research about them in the past few weeks. The symptoms women experience during their periods and during miscarriages are highly variable and depend on so many factors. To say that a period is like this and a miscarriage is like that ignores the broad range of symptoms that women experience. In addition to the concerns that Mama Doctor Jones pointed out, messages like the one shared in that TikTok also spread misinformation about what's normal for miscarriages, which can cause a lot of anxiety for women who are experiencing this and can prevent them from seeking out advice from actual medical professionals. For example, my miscarriage was very similar to my regular period. If I hadn't already been going to see my doctor and had seen this TikTok, I might have just assumed that it was my period and would never know that I had a miscarriage and get the appropriate after-care for it. Bottom line: if you're not sure if it's a period or a miscarriage and you're concerned about it, go see a doctor. They can do tests to determine if you were pregnant or not and look for other issues that might be affecting you.
Okay, so this might be an embarrassing confession 😂 but several years ago, I wanted to try to “taste sweeter” and THAT’S how I found out I’m highly allergic to pineapple. 🤦🏼♀️
When I had my first pap smear, i forgot to scoot back before sitting up, and my bare ass hit the floor.... and the doctor and nurse just stared at me...... it was cold on my ass cheeks.... and I was horribly embarrassed 😂😂😂😂
In terms of the “tasting like pina colada thing”, I definitely made myself taste and smell like maple syrup once. I was in high school and researching how to make my boobs grow naturally (lol) and I read that drinking fanugreek tea several times a day could help. I drank 2 cups a day. Soon all of my bodily fluids (especially my sweat) started to smell like maple syrup. My discharge even tasted like it. My boobs started getting sore, and I didn’t continue after I finished my first box. So... if anyone wants to smell and taste like Canada, give fanugreek a try. (Please do your research. If you try this, do so at your own risk.)
My jaw was on the floor with these!! I can’t believe what people actually think is true. Thank God for your voice of reason, Mama Dr Jones!! Also, FYI, my hubby was listening in the background and kept giving me the side eye. He shook his head along with me! 😂
There's actually psychology research behind this! People naturally look up and one direction when they are being honest and the other when they are lying... I definitely never practiced this to fool my parents in college...😇
That first one is so annoying. “I think you can do the math.” “Just something to think about.” No, the ONLY math i can do from your one google search is tell you you haven’t done enough research yet. You aren’t supposed to just “think about” things, you are supposed to research them and actually look into it. I don’t know how smart she really is, but in the TikTok she is acting dumb.
That's how conspiracy theorists talk all the time. They put out their little shower thought hypothe-theories, where they've just decided that something *sounds like* it could be true, and then they just stop there and declare that it must be true since it sounds good to them. It drives me crazy.
i really think this girl went through this thought process: 1. See a meme/hear a joke about black market stuff 2. Look it up 3. Notice a shady statistic on a random site 4. Google "black market placenta cost" 5. MAKE TIKTOK IMMEDIATELY DO NOT USE BRAIN
@@daniellemills5150 different sugars do different things. Sugar from candy is worse than sugar in apples or bananas. The pineapple thing is true but I'm pretty sure that was a joke vid
@@kristall5928 you’re half right. Sugar is sugar, no matter where it comes from. The difference isn’t in the composition of the actual sugar, it’s what you’re ingesting *with* the sugar. When you eat a cupcake, you’re consuming unhealthy fats, sugar, and empty calories. When you eat an apple, you’re consuming healthy carbs, fiber, and vitamins. The fiber and vitamins that come with the sugar in the apple enable your body to break down the sugar properly, whereas the fat and empty calories in the cupcake do nothing, causing the sugar (and the fat) to stick around, causing health issues when consumed in excess.
This kind of stuff really upsets me because I remember growing up super insecure and constantly looking up how to make myself "better" and then feeling worse when none of it worked

Yeah, that's why there may arguably be a black market in China for it because people do consume it for supposed health benefits. But in the US I would suspect most people are not interested in consuming placenta unless it's their own.
I have also heard you can pay to have your placenta made into pills if you wanted to eat it but in an easier way. Though I’m not sure of the health benefits of eating a placenta.

This is why I love watching her: "it's not so much the information being given, but the idea that it needs to be that way" she actually understands the core problem, not just debunking the info!
The miscarriage one was insulting in so many ways. Not only for women who have irregular periods, but for women who struggle with infertility. Not every person who experiences miscarriages experiences them the same way every time or the same way as someone else who experiences them. That misinformation can cause a lot more harm than good, and I'm glad you pointed that out
Yeah really glad you addressed the miscarriage video. I have had three verified miscarriages (2 before 5 weeks) and my blood has always been a bright red and not the dark color she was referring to. It really angers me when people act like miscarriages aren’t as varied as deliveries are. Every body and every pregnancy can be different!
Was anyone else really bothered by the girl talking about how to make your vagina taste good kept mentioning “making it taste good for HIM” and “if you have a boyfriend” - as if women don’t give other women oral sex?! Wtf?
Lubb ok well as another bi person (one who is in a straight-passing relationship at that) I think it’s annoying and unnecessary to frame every discussion of relationships around the assumption that it’s a “straight” relationship. It’s almost as if no two bi people’s experience is the same and we shouldn’t assume.
Placenta is *literally biohazardous waste* miss me with the bears, the pate and the pills 🤦♀️ Let em HAVE IT....you could always create a birth plan that involves delayed clamping.
Oh my gosh, I just cracked myself up thinking of actual scientists getting funding for a study that involves women eating a ton of pineapple and then scientist tasting their vaginal secretions. Can you even imagine that insanity? So funny!
Oh ok, they do filter through videos and take down questionable content, but I think it helps if people report it also. That way it could be reviewed more quickly.
I really love how even though you react to misinformation and the like you recognize the potential that there are those that will be actively malicious towards others and make commentary imploring your subscribers to be kind and not verbally attack anyone even if you are ppinting out falicies in something they may make a statement of. It pisses me off so much when people spread false information or even lie about miscarriages, I had 2 miscarriages and one of my (now ex) friends tried lying about having one, but the bleading was for 5 days (which is how long her periods were) and nothing was different from her periods, she was late one day and she thought she was pregnant. Then she had her period. According to her, she has had over 10 miscarriages all because she was actually a day late then got her period. She had everyone convinced. She just liked the attention and when I had my second one, she said that it was my fault. Since then I haven't talked to her, but her trying to say that she has had over 10 or even 1 which I don't believe she ever has, makes my blood boil. Just like those who spread false information, this is why I love this channel, you talk the truth and explain while debunking false information. Love you

I love your take on these videos. I help to run a mom group on FB and OH MY GOODNESS...the number of times over the past few years myself and my other admins have had to reiterate our rules concerning medical advice and information. We see post requests about reproductive issues often and we have to delete quite a few of these, with a tagline that they need to NOT bring these questions to the group, but rather talk to their healthcare providers. So many people believe everything that they read, see and hear and they don't double check the information that they come across to ensure the sources and information are reliable and factual.
@@daisylovers3655 The virgin with the miscarriage or the woman in the video? If you're talking about the woman in the video, I'd rather listen to someone who gives us sources and has been practicing for years and I'm familiar with, not someone who might have misunderstood something she was taught in class, but was in a rush to share a new fun fact anyway.
@Daisy it may just seem like a person on a kids app, but you have to consider the fact that misinformation can be incredibly damaging in the long run, both to kids and to adults. So many people have watched that video - including probably a lot of teenagers who are having sex with their boyfriends, often unprotected. Without knowing otherwise, they may see a regular part of their body’s chemistry as a miscarriage. This can cause some serious, unnecessary trauma, and a trauma that they may be too uncomfortable to talk to their parents or loved ones about because that would then have to lead into the conversation of “I’m having sex”, which is something that may or may not be normalized in their family. They don’t have the education or know-how to know this is incorrect, so now you have teenage girls and possibly even some adults overwhelmed, worried and traumatized unnecessarily due to misinformation. P.S.: just to reiterate, it definitely isn’t a “kids app” 😓 just because kids use YoUTube or Facebook doesn’t make it a kids app; just an app used by kids. But I used the terminology because that’s the terminology you used.
Hey MDJ! I'd love love a video addressing 'intimate washes'. I always cringe when I see them but I would love to know if there are some circumstances where it would be beneficial to use them. Thanks for putting good info out there, no matter what. I'm always happy to get an ad before your vids.

There are some instances when a doctor might prescribe them, but it seems like that's pretty rare, especially since there are other options for things like recurrent infections or whatever. But there's certainly no reason to use them as a regular thing.

It is illegal to sell any sort of organs whether consensual or not. You can't sell your own nor another person's organs. A uterus is worth a lot of cash. If it was legal I would have already sold mine to pay for my top surgery.
I love your reaction videos!! Honestly, the thing about TikTok is that is can be so scary when you're sharing "advice" because wrong info can be circulated so quickly, and taken out of context in the case of things that might actually be helpful/not harmful with the proper context. PS. Hello, Mr. Sloth! I saw you there in the beginning of the video!
The boric acid girl make a follow-up tik tok saying to talk to your doctor before you use it. Still not helpful when it wasn’t in the original video 🤦♀️
Can you do a video on yeast infections? I feel like no one talks about then which can leave to people getting them and not knowing it. I had my first one when I was 10 and I only hear you got them from sex and I thought it couldn't be. Fast forward 8 months when I finally told my doctor and I was able to get medication and learn that you can get yeast infections from many things. And now I have problems down there because I never said anything.

Mama Doctor Jones lol! That reminds me of a time when I was taking a proctored exam online that had a camera that could see 360 around the room I was in.

I was just thinking about how those times I’ve taken a placenta from the hospital to the lab I could’ve made myself $50,000 richer 🤔😝

@BabyUnicornio but good quality long human hair takes many years to grown. you don't often cut 20 inches or more of healthy, undyed hair, it's rare and therefore expensive. i don't know what this placenta black market is exactly for (medicinal purposes?) but it's "easier" and "quicker" to come by than long healthy hair, so it would be cheaper.

not to mention the "if you want a BOYFRIEND"
I realize this is old, but somewhat related: when I got my iud, I asked if I would feel it on a day to day basis. She was quick to inform me that my partner would not feel it during PIV, which is not my concern. I want to know if I will constantly be aware of a medical device, in this moment I do not care what my partner feels.

The miscarriage TikTok is so irresponsible (well they all are tbh). So many teenagers who get periods are going to think they’re having miscarriages because their period is slightly different, which is just going to cause unnecessary stress and even trauma.
Not only is it bad info it is coming from a medical student.
Pretty sure I haven't had a miscarriage every single month since I was 13 :p
But really sad that some people are going to consider miscarriage even if it looks like their regular old period just because stuff like that is out there.
These tiktokers got their medical degree from the highly prestigious University of Google

Also "avoid sugary foods" "pineapple and banana are great because they're high in sugar"
Well that could be argued from ignorance on explaining maybe she meant things with added sugars like corn syrup and glucose while fruits are generally higher in natural fructose and fiber. Anyway she's completely wrong on virtually every point lol
Yes!! I noticed that immediately. She’s such a dummy.
Omg so true! And the fact that yogurt gives you infections? Yogurt bacteria contributes to heathy gut bacteria. It does not cause infections at all. It has more to do with colon health rather than vaginal health.

Here (in Finland) you can actually donate placenta blood for a blood bank. This blood has stem cells in it and can be used to stemm cell theraphy, if it finds a suitable match.
Ashlee Sims That must have been a horrifying experience but I’m sorry, I laughed 😂
Kiki Don’t worry, I laugh about it all the time now. At first I just had no idea what was going on.
Ouch
Have you had pineapple before?
@@ad-skyobsidion4267 Nope! That was the very first (and last!) time I ever ate it!
When I had my first pap smear, i forgot to scoot back before sitting up, and my bare ass hit the floor.... and the doctor and nurse just stared at me...... it was cold on my ass cheeks.... and I was horribly embarrassed 😂😂😂😂
Aww😂 poor thing.
Good thing you have a funny story.
Omg I giggled, I'm so sorry😂
This is the best one 😂
I had a gynecologist tell me at my first visit that I wasn’t pregnant because my cervix wasn’t blue. He ordered a blood test... I was pregnant.
Man I hope he didn’t delay your abortion wtf, these doctors love ruining womens lives ugh
😆 I took fenugreek while breastfeeding. Can confirm the syrup smell.
This is a strange form of patriotism😂
My jaw was on the floor with these!! I can’t believe what people actually think is true. Thank God for your voice of reason, Mama Dr Jones!! Also, FYI, my hubby was listening in the background and kept giving me the side eye. He shook his head along with me! 😂
I love it when she looks up when explaning as she is looking for a file with information in a mental drawer. 😁
Tbh the way she was talking with her "I'm smarter than you" attitude really irked me to my core.
i really think this girl went through this thought process:
1. See a meme/hear a joke about black market stuff
2. Look it up
3. Notice a shady statistic on a random site
4. Google "black market placenta cost"
5. MAKE TIKTOK IMMEDIATELY DO NOT USE BRAIN
lady juice girl: “no sugary foods and no coffee because it’s acidic”
also lady juice girl: “eat naturally sugary fruits and pineapples”
Sophie Lea ur an avocadoooo
Exactly like its still SUGAR just because it comes from pineapples doesnt make it better
She also said no coffee because it’s acidic but yes pineapple, 🤔
the way they were so confident is making me so unomfortable LMFAOOOO
This kind of stuff really upsets me because I remember growing up super insecure and constantly looking up how to make myself "better" and then feeling worse when none of it worked
Just because your female or heard something from somewhere doesn’t mean you know everything about ladyparts! Thank you for showing us this.
Edit: I apologise I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I didn’t think I would!? But I used female as a way of grouping girls, teen girls and women as a whole! Again I’m sorry...
Addressing women collectively as “females” is dehumanizing and is rooted in misogyny. When does anyone ever address men as “males”? Almost never. Just something to think about.
Sara Parkour ya but I’m a woman and not offended to be called female 😂
@@wolfmenot how is being called female offensive? I'm not trying to fight, I just want to know your reasoning
Female is probably more accurate anyway. Female refers to the sex of your body not your gender. Not all females identity as women
Sara Parkour if someone who is called female gets offended by that then they need to get a life because there’s a lot more stuff to worry about then that
“I don’t think he’s got a future as an OBGYN.”
Really, what makes you say that?
don’t some people take their placenta and eat it?? so that just throws that first girls logic out the window lol
Yeah, that's why there may arguably be a black market in China for it because people do consume it for supposed health benefits. But in the US I would suspect most people are not interested in consuming placenta unless it's their own.
Fried placenta bbq
Tradition for celebrating a successful birth in hell
I have also heard you can pay to have your placenta made into pills if you wanted to eat it but in an easier way. Though I’m not sure of the health benefits of eating a placenta.
Eat the placenta to gain the baby’s powers.
Megan Battles I’ve read it’s supposed to help with energy & iron, how true is it 🤷🏽♀️ not sure but i wanna try the pills with my own if i ever have a child
That misinformation can cause a lot more harm than good, and I'm glad you pointed that out
Coffee is way to acidic, so eat this super acidic fruit to smell like a Pina colada. . . Welp that makes sense
Same energy as "the ph of store bought cleanser is too high! Use baking soda instead!1!1!!"
yeah lmaoooo imagine thinking you can mix a pina colada with your bodily process lol
Wtf?
Yeah it was very heteronormative
She looks and sounds like the 'you.' girl so don't expect much 🤣
@@SjofnBM1989 because hetero is the norm. As a bi person it's insane people think that it's offensive to assume your partner's gender.
Fu Inlé fair, but if I had a girl eating me out, I’d still want to do my best to make the experience pleasant for her.
Placenta is *literally biohazardous waste* miss me with the bears, the pate and the pills 🤦♀️
Let em HAVE IT....you could always create a birth plan that involves delayed clamping.
The way you are able to stay composed during these wackadoodle conspiracies, I am just in awe 😮
Oh my gosh, I just cracked myself up thinking of actual scientists getting funding for a study that involves women eating a ton of pineapple and then scientist tasting their vaginal secretions. Can you even imagine that insanity? So funny!
Ew
The lady juice cracked me up .... but if my parts smelt like alcohol I would go see a professional.
Is there a way to vet and remove TikToks that promote misinformation?
If you click the share button, you have the option to report them. That way they can be reviewed then removed.
@@carolinewilson6240 Not asking for this personally. I meant for the Powers That Be at TikTok to vet and remove questionable content.
I really love that a lot. Always be kind. And thanks for being a voice to that concept.
Hi Mama Doctor Jones! OMG! Thank you for featuring my scooch down video lol. Glad it made you laugh!😘
The gyno table scoot was so funny and I can totally relate. I'm so bad at this that my doc has put something at the end of the table and told me to scoot until I ran into the object lmao
0:56 OMG!!
You should hear about rumours in Mexico, about how doctors "steal" knee's synovial fluid and sell it. 'Cause apparently apparently it's more valuable than platinum (specially the right knee's fluid).
Anyhow, I love how you take your time to ract and correct this sort of myths.
And as a med student, I kinda hope to be like you one day.
especially the right knee?? damn these black market buyers have very specific needs
I've get some knee swelling, maybe I could make some money 😂
"If you can make a buck off your placenta more power to you!" LOL
Love you
People like the first woman make me so angry! the amount of misinformation and conspiracy theories is beyond frustrating!
I really hope people are not actually believing these TikTok videos as the truth. Thank you for the truth, as always!!
if you look at the comments, they are, and it’s wack.
Sadly people are, like my impressionable mom and younger sister. They believe these tiktokers are exposing the truths the doctors and hospitals have been trying to hide. They won’t listen to me or anyone else when we tell them not to believe everything they see online
@@EducationWithATwist that's actually really sad. Why trust a teen on tik tok with zero education in that field compared to someone who spent years studying it
lol - Now the song "If you like pina coladas" is running through my head.
The second one made me laugh. When she asked the question, my immediate thought was I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I can barely see my feet let alone my own vagina 😂
Congratulations!!
Wait coffee is too acidic to drink if you want to "taste good" but pineapple is okay? Pineapple is also super super acidic...
5:20 welp guess a 16 yr old virgin is having miscarriages each month for a week because of her horrible cramps..
lololol same here virgin miscarriages xD
She's a med student
@@daisylovers3655 The virgin with the miscarriage or the woman in the video? If you're talking about the woman in the video, I'd rather listen to someone who gives us sources and has been practicing for years and I'm familiar with, not someone who might have misunderstood something she was taught in class, but was in a rush to share a new fun fact anyway.
@@blueismylove3128 ok ok.. sheesh it's just a person on a kids app....
I second this!! I’ve heard they’re awful and I understand that they are not necessary at all but I honestly like using them. I just feel cleaner. I use the vagasil brand thats unscented and not colored so it’d be interesting to hear in what cases they wouldn’t or would be harmful.
I think she mentioned them in “5 things your GYN wants you to know”? Not in depth, but it was one of her topics
Noelle R thanks!
There are some instances when a doctor might prescribe them, but it seems like that's pretty rare, especially since there are other options for things like recurrent infections or whatever. But there's certainly no reason to use them as a regular thing.
If that's actually how miscarriages work, then I have had *A LOT* of them (which I know is not true).
Yah. AND she’s a medical student. 😩
@@MamaDoctorJones We all make mistakes (especially when learning), but here's to hoping she realizes that she is misinformed (and misinforming others) sooner rather than later.

It is illegal to sell any sort of organs whether consensual or not. You can't sell your own nor another person's organs. A uterus is worth a lot of cash. If it was legal I would have already sold mine to pay for my top surgery.
Her description of miscarriage was just my experience of my worst period ever and there was no way I was pregnant/miscarrying
Yo, I've been drinking almond milk my whole life and i still have AA's. Theory disproved.
I love how you say talk to your doctor or advanced provider. I’m an FNP and love how you incorporate us in your education!

Almond milk definitely doesn’t work, I’ve been drinking almond milk for years because my youngest brother is allergic to dairy and I just like how it tastes and I actually have what my family considers small for breast in my family.
It's a dangerous world out there with so much misinformation. Thanks to the real doctors for doing their best to debunk that.
