this gives me so much reassurance because i have a similar unweighted gpa and weighted gpa and was scared that colleges care more about that, but I am very involved in my community and extra curriculars so hopefully with that and a good essay I can get in to a lot of good colleges!

The honors I listed on common app include: 1. National African American Recognition 2. AP Scholar with Distinction 3. Y Achiever 4. Student Council Sweepstakes 5. VASE Art Competition Award Recipient

It all depends on the college you are applying to, but having challenging course increases your probability of getting into a top college by a lot.

yeah, don’t do it - it is really not an extracurricular since it’s for school and is a part of the programme

Haha, well our top twenty included two full rides to MIT, a Harvard acceptance and full ride to Rice University.
