When I hit generate face options, the colors of the object (car body) do not change……it stays gray. That’s where I’m stuck as I want to increase the thickness from the inside only.
All the other options deforms the shape of the outside. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I’m 3d printing RC car bodies and have the same issue

you don´t need to do the "Unit/dimensions" part... just hit the upper arrow in your keyboard to do it

Will this work with converted PDO/Pepakura files? (Pepakura filed are usually very thin when ported to STL.) Will this help make it printable?

We haven't really tried it, it would be a matter of testing to see if it works. You could also test by simply scaling the model to see if it works for you

I cant select the back of the object im working on, so I cant utilise this tutorial at all.

Have you tried changing the parameters Edge Angle, Normal Angle, angle threshold, size threshold? If by changing those parameters you still can't select the back of your model, you'll have to manually select it, which takes a bit more work

Probably you model doesn't have any thickness its just a surface, its the same problem im facing and im going crazy, i can't figure it out on how to make it thick without destroying the model. Could you find any solution?

When i change the offset the image looks no different in thickness. Do you know why that is?

I don't understand why people that want to make technical videos don't explain what has to be done instead of playing stupid music?

Sorry to hear that ray. If you have the subtitles activated, you will find the explanations. In theory, they are supposed to be activated automatically, but sadly for some people it doesn't work.

Cause clearly the video creator must have a voice that when they speak it’s the mutation of a fart and a queef.
