Thanks for doing this Scott. What are the grate dimensions on this unit? How many racks of baby back ribs do you think you could fit? I mostly use kamados, but occasionally think about adding a small pellet grill. Thank you!
Thank you! 19”X19” for bottom and 7X19 for top grate. I haven’t cooked ribs enough to give you a good est. but I’d say roughly 25-30 small ones
Is it possible to smoke with this grill like with the other fremont grills? or does the ARC controls not allow that? Great video BTW! I own one of these and lost the manual so to turn it off i just unplugged it. I didn't know there was a shutoff cycle or even a switch. i never look behind there for some reason😅🧐

I just got mine last weekend and will be setting it up soon. I never used an electric smoker/wood pellet grill. Does it automatically put wood pellets into the "fire pit" or do i need to manually push the buttons to drop some in every x minutes?
I’m not 100% sure but, Once the prime cycle is complete, the supply is “Automatic” and you will not need to worry about the pellets going into the fire pot unless you run the hopper dry or some sort of jam happens.

Doesn't the hopper load the tube or do I need to manually drop pellets in it first?
So even though you fill the hopper with pellets, they don’t get all the way into the horizontal transfer tube because of the cork screw (auger) mechanism inside it. Once you perform the Pri cycle, it will be and you won’t have to worry about this unless you run it dry. Hope that helps.

Can you use the Traeger app with this grill?
I don’t think so. I don’t remember reading about it in the manual.
How do you calibrate the thermometer on the fremont?
Good question. I’m unsure. I couldn’t find anything about it so you may have to inquire with Traeger to find out
Was woundering the same thing mi e off by 15 deg saw other ones doing a ice cup for min or two. Then calibrate

For as little as we use it…. Yes. It does add a great deal of flavor and cooks evenly.
@@TheKnoxcountry why don’t you use it more often? Is it a pain to set up and work with?
Just like bikes hanging in the garage or the ice cream maker in the cupboard, we planned on using it way more but just haven’t. This is pretty easy to use. Way easier than a tradition grill esp clean up.
The Fremont electrical controller is crap!!!
I wish it had the Traeger Pro 22 dial, set it and forget it
