Working semaphore signals and jointed rail in 1994, who would have thought? Here in Michigan the semaphores were updated in the1940's and the jointed rail was replaced with ribbon rail in the 1980's, other than the one semaphore we discussed in your last semaphore video, that is still there. Great video as always. Merry Belated Christmas and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Bob! The ribbon rail was in the process of being installed on track 1 when this video was shot. There were a handful of semaphores still along the line in the mid 90's, with the sole survivor holding on until 2003-2004, taken down by NS and preserved. Thanks for watching Bobby!
Thanks! The pair at Tioga Center were removed before I ventured west of Binghamton. I do remember the Railpace Magazine issue which showed the new signals after installation. As for Endicott, (the last one?) unfortunately, I never did go to shoot that one. I did see it in the distance from an overpass. There will be a few more videos featuring the semaphore at Barton on track 2, and the blades around Smithboro. I also shot Kodachrome stills of trains passing a semaphore just west of Wellsburg, NY., but no video. Thanks again for commenting and watching.
Thank you for capturing this!

Very long cargo trains, nice video, liked.
Aye some Southern Tier content, nice. You ever get any footage or pics of the pair at Tioga Center (MP 241ish) or Endicott (MP 224)?

251 miles west of Jersey City, NJ 😎
Great video. Do you have any videos of the train order semaphores in waverly?
Thanks. No, unfortunately. I've only shot stills of that one.
