- Hey guys, after deciding to go live again on Twitch, I managed to reach Master on stream and thus I made a guide / gameplay commentary on how I got to Master Elo playing Shaco only, explaining my decision making, strategies, what I prefer to Build in High Elo, runes and giving plenty Tips & Tricks on Shaco that are quite deep knowledge type.
I hope you enjoy this type of content as it is much easier to make compared to an edited guide and I might do more soon.

At what elo did you feel shaco began to fall off in terms of getting kills not including games which had hard to assassinate champs
I would have to say Diamond 4-3 and above
Getting to Diamond was fairly easy compared to Master games, you can no longer solo carry and you have to help and put your team ahead by securing objectives and most importantly creating opportunities for them to get ahead, such as good ganks, baiting enemies and so on.
But in Emerald and below, Shaco really is a smurf OP champion
In my experience enemies are simply trying to play the game and you can deny them everything through Shaco's strong early game, then get feed and get 20+ kills every game and dominate the jungle
In high Elo, enemies are either playing tank champs most of the time
Or play very defensively, afk farm and deny you the winning plays by simply not participating in them
Most if not all High Elo games I've lost not because of bad teams but because the enemy would deny Shaco's whole play style power through being defensive
Also, it is very skill reliant sometimes if you can one shot the enemy ADC
Your Emerald clueless Caitlyn becomes a Xahya with exhaust and a Rakan 24/7 on top of her with head and instant CC
If you want to have fun, stick to Emerald and below, if not, playing champs other than Shaco can help a lot with getting Higher Elo
Don't get me wrong, Shaco can still be useful, you can secure objectives and try to deny the enemy plays, but you'll rarely get those 28/2/4 games
Either way, no matter the Elo, usually the team that gets ahead wins, snowballing is what matters most, the only problem is, enemies will deny you that
You'll find yourself in situations where your team is fighting the enemy in their base and you can't do anything to help, even though you are ahead, because of Shaco's kit

@@TheClone Nice very detailed answer, I always found that in games enemy plays super safe early my best bet is to perma track jungler make his life harder by taking camps and counter ganking

Can you make a video specifically for how to invade in the first minutes? Like what choices do we have? Followng ur vid I am doing red then invade blue and wait him to start blue to kill him. But I see sometimes u do blue, frog, red, then invade?. Soooo a TODO invade options for the start would be nice. And in which scenarios pick what

It's difficult if you play only ad shaco every game since ap shaco has much higher value in higher elos for many reasons, but congratulations on getting to master by playing ad only ^^

Same! I started playing ap shaco support that ended up into me being addicted to only ad shaco jungle :'D
I still have a lot to learn, but I believe in myself and I know that I will become much better in the future!

20:08 rengar E'd, got vision, went into bush, got auto-Q, is at 3 stacks, all he had to do was press W twice to cleanse fear from the second box and heal the burst and he would win, what the hell was he thinking? also kiting to jump on box for no reason while already inside the bush lmao
Have you tried eclipse instead of bork? Since shaco is just downright awful at sustained fights, ive found eclipse to be huge for burst damage plus a little survivability after the engage. Now if youll excuse my humble bronze ass, ill get back to class now.
Yooo, I have tried Eclipse a few times, it is a good item, many other Shaco players use it, but I personally don't Build it.
I have played a bit more and got to almost 200 LP in Master, I did actually change my Build a bit, I go Yoummu's into Bork first then Profane and Crit with Infinity and Lord Dominik's.
Again, Eclipse would fit quite well anywhere in the Build, too bad Riot is nerfing it...

when do you go Crit and when do you go lethality?
Crit low Elo, lethality high elo
Kind of what Altolion also said, in Lower Elo you can carry better with crit as you have more DPS
But in higher Elo, lethality items such as Profane Hydra and so on give you higher potential, especially earlier into the game

why dont you play ap shaco. with new items i have the feeling its much stronger and dmg is more reliable?
Profane is bugged and gives 0 lethality, idk if riot fixed it yet but...
Yup, luckily that wasn't the case when I did the grind
I am fairly certain they will fix it in a few days as the new Patch rolls out anyways
I rarely ever go assassin AD Shaco because I'm honestly not the biggest fan of the play style but the best strategy is really just "be confident"
Edit: I just finished the video, my play style is too different from yours even with the same build, I'll stick to playing AP and do my own thing as AD I guess

I despise Bork it fees so bad for me to play with and its so expensive so it takes a while to complete.
True, while the components of it suck, the item itself is indisputably OP in the current meta as so many champions are tanky and the item literally gives you more DPS than any other raw damage item
Im at 65% win rate now that im back with playing shaco
