Hey Andy, been watching your videos for a while and I also live near Louisville. I'm picking up my model 3 this week! You said you got your front wrapped for paint protection. Wondering where you got it done at and if you recommend that place?

Excellent video Andy. Thank you. Is there an issue with the screen brightness when night driving? Is there some type of auto dim feature like on cell phones?

Went to a Tesla dealership the other week for a test drive. We were given half an hour to take it for a spin, but because it’s such a different car from anything we’re used to it took 10 minutes just getting acquainted with it before feeling comfortable enough to start driving! So much to learn, but I’m excited and looking forward to owning one!

This remains a handy, dandy intro for new Tesla owners, only proviso is that much of the touchscreen section has changed due to a Christmas(?) 2021 over the air (OTA) update to the cars' software. Tesla typically has an end of year major OTA update, and several minor ones throughout the year. The OTA is really a neat feature because what other car company keeps improving your car after purchase the way Tesla does. The late 2021 OTA substantially changed the look and interface of the touchscreen. It may take a little getting used to but a handy tip is to get familiar with voice commands, it is a much safer way, when driving, of accomplishing most of the touchscreen commands without taking your eyes off the road.

The reason you don't push down on the badge for the front trunk, is that there are likely screws or some other hardware which connect the badge to the vehicle. Pushing this causes those parts to dig into the body. Hence the reason, Tesla advises to push away from the badge. This applies to other vehicles also, I've seen it on the Ammo NYC channel on a Porsche.

You would think that Tesla would have a sensor to switch on the demisting fan without you continually having to turn it on and off. Also what's the deal with burying the lights in a submenu on the touchscreen? What the hell is that? Nice of them to put the indicators on the stalk, but burying turning your lights on at night in the touchscreen?? While you're driving? Or do you have to stop the car to scroll through the submenus so you can turn the headlights on?

Andy, great video! One small nit: I've noticed in a handful of your videos that you mention a "feature" of tesla vehicles is changing the gear if you are going less than 5 mph. While that is true, that feature is available in most vehicles. My 1998 mercury mountaineer can do this, as well as my 1998 toyota corolla. Just FYI. Cheers~
