Great that you all got a family holiday together. I can sympathise a bit with your volunteer lol, it actually takes me 2.5 hours to water all of my pots by hand 😱
It's crazy, isn't it?! The volunteer had actually attached the hosepipe (which I never do) and barely watered anything, but his first words to me were: "do you KNOW how many pots you have?" I was like, "you counted them?" 😬😬 He also went on about how much time I must spend watering...the fact is, we have barely had any sunshine all Summer (here at least) - until we went away, that is - so there hasn't been much need for watering 😆😆
No, sadly I didn't this time. I was hoping to find a named Pawpaw, but i didn't think I would be able to bring it back on the plane as there are so mang restrictions now after Brexit. You need a phytosanitary certificate and to arrange for a plant health inspector to inspect the plant. That seemed a bit tricky and prohibitive.
Hi Friend 😊. Great garden tour. Looks healthy. Iv never tried the golden raspberries they look yummy. I love strawberries 🍓. Lots of apples. I love your garden 🌸☀️🩷
Thank you so much. I can highly recommend the yellow raspberries. They are a little bit sweeter than the red ones, and keep fruiting from May to November. Such great croppers.
Ah, I love the red flowers too. They are called Crocosmia. When we first moved here, the garden beds were full of the. They grow from corms like fat necklaces, so they went really deep into the ground. I kept digging them up and moving them around. I just ealised you asked about the red fruits. They are 'Red Devil' apples. The should be ripe next month 🤞🙂
Aw, thank you. I think most of the plants will recover. I have been feeding them up with seaweed feed, fish, blood and bone as well as Epsom Salts since we got back. I so love getting my Poinsettia ready for Christmas. This year I only have one as I had to give the others away due to space restraints in the house when overwintering, but I will soon do a video as I like to start the whole process of turning them red for Christmas nice and early. I actually already have a whole playlist on my best tips to grow Poinsettias big and beautiful year after year: th-cam.com/play/PLsjhsECvRcLHqZ71egjTfh7gRi19v53sU.html&si=5BaHTw3YO8TwYvGU

Nice summer garden tour.
Did you have a chance to visit French plant nursery? I was sure you’ll bring few plants from France😀

It's fun but a little scary to go back to your garden once you've been away for a while!
@@growjoyfullyhomestead it really is...luckily they are quite resilient 😅
Can you make a tutorial on how to make your poinsettia turn huge like yours??? Also rest in peace to all those beautiful plants that lost their lives.
