I fell in love with your garden. I would like to ask you how to prevent mosquitoes from being in your garden. I have a 2-year-old girl who is allergic to repellents and loves going out in the garden at my house and I also have a small garden and I don't want to contaminate it with chemicals to eliminate mosquitoes.
With the same concerns, we are not spraying any chemicals or applying mosquito repellents on our daughter. We hang a mosquito light at the far end of the garden to attract (and kill) mosquitoes. At 5:00 in the video, you can see the mosquito light on the pole right in front of the greenhouse. It's not 100% mosquito free but it does help.

We built the raised garden beds out of cedar wood, which should last 10 years. Wood raised beds work great for us. They look nice and we don't have to worry about leaking unwanted materials into the soil as will plastic or metal planters.

It's spring in SA going to summer rains. I have invested in water conservation. I will not have water issues in winter of MAY / June next Year. I have budgeted for another 10X10 under cover , nursery net , garden for (I was thinking Potatoes) your raised garden idea has changed my mind. 🤣 I will put more veggies under second net section. . . I will make raised Gardens, put a concrete slab on the floor... Load it with my organic compost mixture with soil and put my potatoes. Kiss the Earth Mole good bye. 🤷 I won't make money by his yr.and next yr. I will invest in structures. 2028 I will be 60. I'm sure you'll have great harvest on it in the coming years. Can't agree more on investing in solid structures and foundation. One thing about potatoes though: they set deep roots. Growing potatoes on a raised bed requires a substantially high raised bed. Harvesting potatoes in a raised bed may also be challenging. I've never tried though :) Have you explored the idea of grow bags for potatoes? Happy spring and happy gardening!!!
😂🙋 on 1 Nov I took your yoga planting potato in containers. Last time I played potato in 40kg animal feed bags. The yield was not good. This time around I am using plastic solid containers . It's rain season here in SA. 🇿🇦. I'm taking care of my potatoes farm in containers 😂 looking forward to March next year 🇿🇦🙋
