I have been playing lead guitar for about 40 yrs and have played about every song imaginable but i must say that listening to this solo sent shivers down my spine, it was an absolute joy to listen to (thanks and keep it up) how can anyone dislike it in any way

Absolutely stunning. To all guitar players: watch this a hundred times. Watch and listen how this guy uses just about every technique there is to shape and beautify every note. Listen for his patience. He isn't just wanking, fitting in as many notes as possible, he alters between hard and fast, and slow and mean, or just holding a note to let you chew on it before he moves on. Listen for his control over the bends, the pinch harmonics even when he's flying, how he uses a whammy bar in a completely fluid and musical way. Killer

From the 100+ covers of this solo that I've watched over the last 2 weeks this is my absolute favourite. Wow. Just... WOW!
The magic to this solo is the way he has stayed within the parameters of Gilmours feel and sound but has taken his own direction and improvised incredibly, if Gilmour was watching he would hand the job over to you im sure... top man.
