Also in the fake Kiryu quest it comes across that Kiryu doesn’t realize that Fake Kiryu and Fake Shinji are copying him until Fake Shinji calls Fake Kiryu the Dragon Of Dojima .He just sees to shakedowners and goes “Huh those guys are suspicious,I should go check out what’s up with them.” Which is quintessential Kiryu being a smoothbrained golden retriever

I seriously suggest watching the Majima cage fight walkout clip. It is pure, uncut, Majima energy. Strutting shirtless with his silly little construction helmet, pyrotechnics blazing. Its beautiful.

Also, I suggest watching the scene of Ryuji's introduction at the Grand. In the whole game, but especially there, he has this great mix of macho charisma, twisted honor, brutal strength, and chilling intimidation that makes him super compelling every time he's on screen in this game. He is talking all calm and cool while pouring the booze for his underling, who thinks he's been forgiven and is in the clear until he realizes that his glass is overflowing and Ryuji is continuing to pour until the bottle is empty. It's a great villain intro scene. I also read the "I'm not THAT Kiryu" moment as "pssshhh, you'd have to be crazy to ACTUALLY be the 4th chairman walking up here like that. If you ARE, then that bravado is actually kinda hilarious and I dig it." Then, at Omi headquarters where he's like "so it IS you", i read it more like "this effing madlad, lawlz". Also also, just to firmly set the tone for his conflict with Kiryu: the reason why he hates "The Dragon of Kansai" is the idea that it needs a qualifier. ESPECIALLY now that Kiryu is officially out of the game. Kiryu, in his short rise, was known as an absolute legend, a monster on the scene. Ryuji wanted to eclipse the GOAT and become the new greatest legend, but not only a) to be the best, you have to beat the best, but b) with Kiryu retired, even if Ryuji ascends to greatness, he feels like there will always be an asterisk there. He can never truly feel like the greatest living legend if he does not directly challenge and dethrone the king. In this context, you can especially see why being called "The Dragon of Kansai" is so triggering. The Dragon of Dojima is retired, but folks STILL giving Ryuji that "Kansai" qualifier and showing Kiryu his implied greater respect makes him feel less-than, like some regional player. He needs to be the top, unquestioned, undisputed, no qualifiers, greatest of all time. To do that, he NEEDS Kiryu to be in play.
I feel a little bad for Chase. You can hear how excited he is to share this with his friends and is randomly crestfallen throughout when his buds don't really share his enthusiasm...
To be fair to them I do lock them in a room for 12 straight hours and only give them two smoke breaks 👀 They are enthused they're just also very tired 😂

Hi chase, if you ever need a break from constant yakuza, you can take a break with RGG's Binary Domain. It sold poorly so it would be something the audience can learn about. More importantly, it gives Kojima a run for his money, so you can do to Monty, what he did to you with Metal Gear. Also its not nearly as in depth as Yakuza, so you can maybe do a little work on it here and there, and use it when you need a break.
So idk if Chase knows it but for Monty and Neil Kuze is still alive and a civilian now. He tried getting back in but failed his mission to rejoin. This all took place in the Like a Dragon Online that only released in japan just like the Dragon Dogma mmorpg.
I know it’s just being played for laughs but goddamn, Monty’s vitriol for 0 is so weird to see. Like if 90% love the game Monty’s in that 10% you forget exists.
