Great look Justin, thanks. I like the fact that you’re just not mindlessly unboxing (as too many others do), but instead you’re providing knowledgeable and insightful commentary along the way. Good job. I saw both Banish games setup, very dense troop formations as you note. I hope some smaller battles appear in the future. Two highly-anticipated GMT titles that both look great. I’m also awaiting Norman Conquests, though the Men of Iron series may not be your thing.
I do like Men of Iron, but I was a little put off that in a game about the Normans, it’s focused entirely on Western Europe and contains no material on their campaigns in the Balkans and wars with the Byzantines. I expect if there’s ever a second tripack I’ll pick it up there.
@@Justegarde A protest vote. 😂 To be fair I feel the same way. Love Men of Iron, but can't help feeling slightly disappointed in the battles chosen. Especially Lewes and Evesham (definitely not Norman battles). Would have liked to have seen more on Italy, the Balkans and the Holy Land included. And of course something on my favourite topic 'The Anarchy'!
Tanto Monta: actually, as shown on your video, there are 6 countersheets... :-) And regarding the decks, on GTM website, they annnounce 131 cards for TM versus 116 for Here I Stand and 112+22 for Virgin Queen. And I'm also really eager to receive it (just ordered today) and give it a try, after having played HIS and VQ several times over the past 8 years or so.
Just to follow-up Justin, the amount of accumulated little errata items all over the place for Banish All Their Fears is rather disappointing. And Tanto Monta is incredibly dense, I get the impression that it is a kitchen-sink design. I actually don’t regret either purchase, but have to admit that the wind has been taken out of the sails for these two particular games. Such is life, and this hobby!
Both games look great. I backed out of both at the last minute. I would love to see some playthrough of Banish all their Fears - the setup looked super dense, it would be good to see how it plays. Those counters are fantastic.
Thanks for your unboxing, I'm not really interested in either game - but this may change depending on my playthrough of Musket & Pike Dual Pack for the former and your materials for the latter 😆
Waiting for Tanto Monta to arrive. I belief the counters are the same as the c3i ones, Perhaps they caught another misprint in the interim. I was honestly expecting venting about AMFS would be the next video.
@@Justegarde I'd love to hear your take on it, positive or negative. It looks like a fascinating system but the game topics haven't appealed to me so I've stayed away.

I’m waiting to do a more nuanced take on that game.
