Me, too. I've been playing GMT Games' "Twilight Struggle: Red Sea" and "Twilight Struggle" and I've been lucky enough that I haven't started a nuclear war with the Soviet Union.
Does the game allow for different historical starting points? For example, the at-start game state could reflect the situation in October 1962. Likewise, can the game be used to “game” current events? That is, can the game be used to test strategies to resolve the current state of affairs facing our nation? Or is it more generic in its treatment. Thanks for the video. Cheers.
it's set in the period 2001-2020, Robert, and there are six historical scenarios (in addition to the core Sandbox scenario) that start at various points during that period. The game probably wouldn't model well the world of 1962 (We'd need "Mr. President: The Kennedy Years" for that), but it would probably still be able to handle post 2020 to now, with a new "historical" scenario and a few tweaks here and there. It's pretty easy to create new scenarios for the game. I'm expecting that we'll see a fair number of customer-created ones. We're also working on more, including some variable set-ups for the core Sandbox scenario.
