Thank you Sir! You do an Amazing Job of explaining very simply without extra words!!! I love this! How did I not find you sooner?!! You’re brilliant and fun and to the point!
Play in the snow, and you'll notice this immediately. You don't want to slip, so you use all upper body, lower back to power through. It simply doesn't generate any sort of power if you're not planting your leg correctly.
This was such a fluid and well thought out video! I love how clearly you broke down the weight transfer (made it much easier to try it out in the back yard). Looking forward to some field work today to see the gains!
Great content. Your tips and analysis of how the pros throw in relation to a mediocre disc golfer is right on. I’m just trying to get a smooth effortless throw at 70-85% power. Just hit 50 and trying to extend my disc golf journey. The Simon video was great as well.
Thanks! I'm going through an arm injury right now and I also have to cap around that %, though I've found with proper form I'm not actually losing TOO much distance. Form is king 👌
Great advice! Also the direction your plant foot is facing is very important. It should be perpendicular to the target line. Many beginners ( an experienced players) tend to point their foot somewhat towards the target which doesn’t allow for a proper brace. Love your content!
This has been the biggest help for me besides the out-in-out cue on the pull through to prevent rounding. The first time I deliberately stuck my foot down before starting to pull and rotate, it felt super uncomfortable and I swore the throw was trash…and it went 50 feet past the one I threw before it. The only thing to watch out for is dipping the back shoulder and throwing nose up for someone who is just getting used to that movement.
I have the same nose up issue when focusing on this. AND I have the same issue with it feeling pretty horrible but flying better haha. So I'm in process of retraining the ol' muscle memory
I remember landing with a THUD and thinking "well, that was a terrible shot" before watching the disc fly straighter and 50' farther than I've ever thrown on that particular hole. I've been chasing that feeling ever since.
I had a day....still chasin' that pocket with effortless throws again...I know watching and listening helps...it just needs to transfer to the tee....spring/summer comin'.....
I do this all the time. I manage to still throw pretty far but when I dont plant first my accuracy is terrible! 😂 great video thanks I'm going to work on it!

I'd rather just take your word for it and stay down here where it's nice and warm 😂
Yeah, know that feeling all to well lol. In CO we don't have an off season for disc golf 😂
solid way to explain this! I have always been a notorious late planter

yup, getting the foot down before rotation helps with that too

Awesome content! I'm looking forward to try it. But please don't head butt me anymore haha.
I dropped my front foot down right onto that like button!
I'm disappointed by the non orange range finder bag. Commit 100% ;). Great tip though!
That's it, rangefinder is officially being relegated to a side pocket.
People who have had this issue and fixed it. What was your process for fixing it?
Thank you
