Agree. Pag sanay na sa IF at low carb hindi naman laging gutom. Kahit ako never kong na imagine na kaya ko palang hindi kumain every 3 or 4 hours. Hindi ko pa kayang alisin ang rice kaya ni reduce ko na lang to less than 1/4 ng dati kong consumption. At least 5 cups a day ba naman ibang usapan pa pag paborito ko ang ulam. 😂Nag stop na din sa chichirya pero syempre may cheat day. 😅 I do 18:6, pero madalas umaabot ng 20 hours.

Medyo katakot yung small frequent feeding, kasi it will keep your glucose high all day, and when you maintain this glucose level on a higher level, if prolonged, it can cause insulin resistance. Its better to eat three times a day if you cannot follow an IF. Avoid too much carbs and sugar - stick to just three meals, no snacking in between. Our body maintains an optimal amount of blood sugar level to function efficiently and to keep you alive. When you eat - even if a bit, our body will respond by activating insulin to regulate your blood sugar, now if you eat FREQUENTLY of carbs and sugar - the body will then matabolize it and break it down to simple elements - during this phase when you intake more food there will be no time for your blood sugar to regulate to an optimatimal level. The amount of time your blood sugar is elevated compared to when it is low is also equivalent to the amount of time your body is storing all the excess sugar and convert it into FATS. The more you eat, the more your body is working hard to keep up with the amount of sugar flooding in your body and wont be able to settle down to enter the cycle of using the stored fats from all the feeding you jus tdid. The reason why we need to lessen the frequency of our food and drink intake (except for those that dont have calories such as water) is for our body to rest and enter the stage of when it can reverse the fed state and start the RECYCLING STAGE, when it can ACCESS the stored FATS to use it aa energy source to burn. It usually reach this stage at around 12-18 hrs, therefore, the more you maintain this time the longer your body burns the fats you just stored from all the eating. So yes, because of that, IF is really effective for the body to access all the stored fats and recycle it into your energy source, therefore, you are burning excess fats more efficiently. But ofcourse, you still need to consult your doctor if you would want to know more and other contraindications.

Caloric deficit pero Nde ako nag ka count calories kse ang hassle. 1 cup of rice lng a day no break fast, black coffee lng. Tapos salad sa gabi. Gradual ang weightloss 0.4 to 0.6 weekly lng. I drink green tea everyday it helps with metabolism. After a few months binalik ko din paunti unti ung mga food na iniwasan ko. Sa pag me maintain nmn caloric deficit lng Pero kumakain na ko ng gusto ko. Basta maintain lng 16:8 na fasting window.

Pero nasa 62 parin nman timbang ko.. kasi i started 63.5kg eh.. baka after 2 days pag ok na ako mg IF na uli. Hirap pa sa schedule ko ksi nurse ako at shifting ang duty. Pag mornjng duty ako 6am. Papasok ako walang kaen. Tas mag tea lang ako mga 8am.. tas 2pm na ako kakaen.. imagine. Ngbubuhat ako ng pasyente.. active ksi work ng nurse. Palakad lakad kung saan2x. Mgbigay gamot. Orthopedic unit pa ako. Tulungan mo pa pasyente pumunta banyo. Hehe.. di ko alam paano ko nakakaya pero halos di nmn ako nakakaramdam ng gutom.

Effective sya not just for weight loss but for overall health. I do intermittent fasting regularly. I fast for 19 hours and would only have two meals a day, sometimes only one as I don't feel hungry anymore and feel so strong even without food I could still exercise and do work and chores! Not only did it help me lose weight but also contributed to me being healthy and rarely get sick.

Then pag natapos na ung 8 hours niyo po, then dun na magsisimula 16 hours na walang kain at tubig lang ang alternative if ever nakakaramdam kayo ng gutom. Kunwari, sakin po 9am to 5pm ang 16:8 ko. Sa loob ng 9-5 kumakain po ako ng foods na normally lang kinakain ng mga kasama ko sa bahay (nakain pa din ng kanin, pero minimal na lang and more on fruits and veggies). Then after 5pm, di na po ako kakain and kakain na lang po 9am the next day. :) Bali ung foods lang na kinakain ko minimal lang like kung hanggang saan at ilang amount lang kayang kainin mo. And avoid junk foods, sweets, fatty foods and sweet drinks that could hinder your eagerness to fast. Water is really effective for weight loss and fasting. Right now, I'm at 79.5 kilos :)
Parang hindi ako agree sa almost lahat ng sinabi ng Nutritionist. I have been into Intermittent Fasting for 3 years na. And in fasting state we should remember that we can only take 3 types of fluids: green tea, black coffee and water (no creamer and no sugar) Intermittent fasting is not a fad diet as you have said it is only a meal pattern, it is a lifestyle.

Nag-IF Ako for a year and from 90kg, bumaba talaga ang timbang ko to 67 kg. Effective siya pero nagmukha akong matanda and dry yung skin ko. Kasi pulus diet at Jogging lang ginagawa ko. Now sinasabayan ko na siya ng workout sa gym to build some muscles and I like my body physique now.

Maling mali ka ma'am, we should not demonise sugar which is carbs. The one that should be "cut" is fat, the fat you eat is the fat you wear. Fat which is: milk (why would you even drink milk when you're an adult, and the milk powder mom's give to their children nowadays is not even necessary and healthy, breast fed milk is good enough), oil, butter, margarine, pork, beef, chicken, nuts, avocados, eggs, bacon, burger, french fries, do you get what I'm saying? Instead we should eat more sugars, which again is carbs: rice, potatoes, kamote, fruits, mangos, bananas, bread, etc... But do you know why? It's because sugars which again is carbs is 4 calories per gram compare to fat which is 9 calories per gram, so what does this mean? It means that you can eat double the amount of sugars compare to fat for the same amount of calories. So if you eat sugars (carbs) you will be easily satisfied and end up consuming much lower calories, which is the goal of weight loss than when you eat fats. When I'm talking about sugars I'm not saying eat more donuts, chocolate, I emphasize this because when you see on tv when they're talking about sugars, I guarantee you, you will see donuts, you know what's wrong with donuts? It's not the sugar, it's not the bread, it's the oil used to cook that bread.

Almost 8+ years na din ako nag fafasting, base on my experience eh legit sya na macocontrol mo yung weight mo HOWEVER need mong sanayin yung body mo na hindi kumain ng umagahan at tanghalian, bali kape, tubig maga ganyan lang kainin mo then sa hapon bago matulog, pwede kang kumain ng KAHIT NA ANONG GUSTO MO. Dipende kasi sa katawan ng tao kung gaano kabilis mag adapt sa fasting, sakin kasi umabot ng buong 2 months bago nasanay yun metabolism ka na hindi magutom ng umagahan at tanghalian.
I guess it is very effective coz from 60 kilos ay naging 46 kilos nalang ako ngayon. I started intermittent fasting late 2019 and after 4 months nabawasan po ako ng 7 kilos. Tapos dahan2 na talag akong nabawasan ng timbang hanggang na maintain ko na po ngayon ang timbang ko sa 46 kilos. I'm only 5 ft so ideal po sa height ko ang 46 kilos.

Proper/balanced diet together with exercise will give you good benefits. In my experience, I gain weight and reached 55kls from the usual 48kls. But when I decided to have a proper diet, less sugary foods/drinks and exercise, in just 4months from 55kls down to 45kls. And now, I'm still maintaining it.

I used the calorie deficit method and it works pretty well, I only consume 800 calories per day, only 1/4 of rice, from 195-145, after working out for 6 months straight, btw. my exercise are shadow boxing (cardio) and jogging, the total duration of my workout everyday averages between 1-2 hrs and it is worth it, no side effect or whatsoever.

i was able to do fasting back in summer of 2017, 14 yrs old ako back then. i was able to lose weight from 66 kgs to 56 kgs. nagawa ko yun before dahil siguro bata pa ko and wala pa gaanong iniintindi. ngayon, 19 yrs old na ko and gusto ko pa rin magtry ng fasting pero mahirap kapag nagtatrabaho ka na. hehe
IF makes sense in a very sedentary and modern lifestyle. We simply carried over the old custom of eating 3 times a day because our ancestors have to work hard out on the field and they can burn those calories rather quickly. We don't need that anymore because our lifestyle involves very little physical work.
I watch Dr. Jason Fung, a kidney specialist and Dr. Jamnadas, a cardiologist on intermittent fasting. Last week I did 20/4 fasting and feasting. This week, I will do one meal a day. I'd say, listen to them and learn how to manage eating. As Dr. Jamnadas said, eating small meals frequently is not good for the insulin because it makes insulin levels always raised all the time. I am also trying my best to eliminate flour products. So far I lost some weight - not much - I am not weighing myself. I feel the loss in the way my clothes fit. My clothes no longer feel so snug. I am doing it with the end goal of losing anti-cholesterol med.
I don't do fasting, pero I limit myself to eat 3x a day. Mataba din ako. Pumayat lang ako matapos akong sabihan ng kaibigan ko: 1. 1 rice to no rice a day 2. Naging epektibo din to sa akin. Ang ginawa ko 20:4. Ibig sabihin 4 hours lang ako kakain, tapos 20 hours tubig lang. I lost 12 kgs. in more than 2 months lang. Grabe, pero mahirap talaga. Tyagaan lang talaga.
Effective po siya hehe, I started last year nung 18th bday ko. Pero alongside IF May HIIT din me. May workout apps na para dun. Maganda ung may progression ung workout mo. Pero, after nun magwawant k n kumain ng marami. Kaseeee sobrang payat ako after 5months. Madali na ko mapagod. So ngaun nakain na ko ng normal.
Super effective po ang IF jan po ako pumayat from 86-68 kg in just 8months po. Pero syempre healthy food din po ang kailangan kainin at totoo un pakonti konti lang. Pag nagutom uminom nalang ng madaming tubig hehe. Ngayon nakakaya ko na mag 1 meal a day😁

Days 3 ko ngayun kahit diko pa nakikita resulta sa katawan ko push padin ako sa pag balance sa mga kinakain ko. Dating 3 beses ako kumain ngayun 1 nalang. Para sakin ha kasi ngayun sanay nako na di kumain ng 3 beses. Tuwing maga iinom ako ng warm water tapos kakain ako ng 3 boiled egg tapos green tea. Pero minsan oat ang kinakain ko. Sa gabi naman oat meal tapos green tea na ulet. Dahil nasanay nako sa ganito. Samahan din ng exercise :) trust yourself eka nga.

Don't do the small intake of foods, do the small calorie foods, like for example: greens, oats, etc. This is effective, because I do this everyday, in 2-3 weeks I lose 3 kg, also take water everyday. 🙂

8:16 is really effective though if you do much things like heavy lifting jobs or something that will make you tired up fast i think you should eat more in 8 hrs focus on more vegetables,fruits,beef and other healthy foods and also remember when you are in fast drink water or something that'll keep your body and mind good condition while fasting

Sorry, but it is not a fad diet. It is a lifestyle. I am 45yo and I have been doing IF 16:8 for more than two years now. I was 94.65kgs before IF and pre-diabetic, but when I started doing TMAD (two meals a day) and 16:8 hrs IF and sometimes 18:6, I gradually lost weight and my cardiac panel results eventually were all normal. I am now 58kgs and I am healthier, thanks to IF. I just make sure that while on fasting mode, I drink my water with himalayan salt to keep me hydrated. And before I start my feasting or eating time, I either sip on my home-made broth (may it be from chicken bones or pork bones) or sauerkraut. Then my go to feasting foods are always with a lot of vegetables, green leafy ones, partnered with fish and or any meat. I make sure that I don't eat beyond 6pm. This has become my way of eating for almost three years now and I feel way better than before.

I hope the program invited a registered physician who is an expert on IF. There are a lot of new studies now that promotes IF and caution about frequent meals. There are also a lot of benefits of IF that were not diacussed.

Just track your calorie intake guys For girls 2,000 is normal for boys 2,500 calories If you are a girl everyday try to eat calories for about 1,500 in one week and if not seeing any progress try to remove 300 or 500 calories so it'll be 1,200 or 1,000 calories perday! Snacking is what kills weight loss. Sobrang winowork on ko to. dahil although nag IF ako, di parin ako dapat mawili mag snack excessively in between my big meals during my eating window. ALSO, para sa mga mag sasabi na ang lungkot naman mabuhay ng ganito, malungkot din yung feeling mo na wala kang control sa pagkain mo and you feel crap afterwards. Pareho mahirap, and para sakin, dun nalang ako sa mahirap na makakabuti para sa katawan ko.
Pag naging habit naman na siya, wala na yung essence ng pagiging mahirap. It just becomes your life.

Agree. Pag sanay na sa IF at low carb hindi naman laging gutom. Kahit ako never kong na imagine na kaya ko palang hindi kumain every 3 or 4 hours. Hindi ko pa kayang alisin ang rice kaya ni reduce ko na lang to less than 1/4 ng dati kong consumption. At least 5 cups a day ba naman ibang usapan pa pag paborito ko ang ulam. 😂Nag stop na din sa chichirya pero syempre may cheat day. 😅 I do 18:6, pero madalas umaabot ng 20 hours.

7 months ago i used to watched yung ganitong kind of vids from GMA. Weight ko noon is 114 kg. Ngayon im happy and proud dahil nagawa ko sya yung mag papayat enjoying and trusting the process talaga. Now, my weight is 84 kg. Heheeh more pa to lose.

Medyo katakot yung small frequent feeding, kasi it will keep your glucose high all day, and when you maintain this glucose level on a higher level, if prolonged, it can cause insulin resistance. Its better to eat three times a day if you cannot follow an IF. Avoid too much carbs and sugar - stick to just three meals, no snacking in between.
Our body maintains an optimal amount of blood sugar level to function efficiently and to keep you alive. When you eat - even if a bit, our body will respond by activating insulin to regulate your blood sugar, now if you eat FREQUENTLY of carbs and sugar - the body will then matabolize it and break it down to simple elements - during this phase when you intake more food there will be no time for your blood sugar to regulate to an optimatimal level. The amount of time your blood sugar is elevated compared to when it is low is also equivalent to the amount of time your body is storing all the excess sugar and convert it into FATS.
The more you eat, the more your body is working hard to keep up with the amount of sugar flooding in your body and wont be able to settle down to enter the cycle of using the stored fats from all the feeding you jus tdid.
The reason why we need to lessen the frequency of our food and drink intake (except for those that dont have calories such as water) is for our body to rest and enter the stage of when it can reverse the fed state and start the RECYCLING STAGE, when it can ACCESS the stored FATS to use it aa energy source to burn. It usually reach this stage at around 12-18 hrs, therefore, the more you maintain this time the longer your body burns the fats you just stored from all the eating.
So yes, because of that, IF is really effective for the body to access all the stored fats and recycle it into your energy source, therefore, you are burning excess fats more efficiently. But ofcourse, you still need to consult your doctor if you would want to know more and other contraindications.

In my opinion, combining IF with HIIT and strength training is the most effective way to maintain this kind of lifestyle in the long run. I have been doing it for more than a year and my weight is constantly within the normal range of my BMI.

Caloric deficit pero Nde ako nag ka count calories kse ang hassle. 1 cup of rice lng a day no break fast, black coffee lng. Tapos salad sa gabi. Gradual ang weightloss 0.4 to 0.6 weekly lng. I drink green tea everyday it helps with metabolism. After a few months binalik ko din paunti unti ung mga food na iniwasan ko. Sa pag me maintain nmn caloric deficit lng Pero kumakain na ko ng gusto ko. Basta maintain lng 16:8 na fasting window.

Effective sya not just for weight loss but for overall health. I do intermittent fasting regularly. I fast for 19 hours and would only have two meals a day, sometimes only one as I don't feel hungry anymore and feel so strong even without food I could still exercise and do work and chores! Not only did it help me lose weight but also contributed to me being healthy and rarely get sick.

Kunwari, sakin po 9am to 5pm ang 16:8 ko. Sa loob ng 9-5 kumakain po ako ng foods na normally lang kinakain ng mga kasama ko sa bahay (nakain pa din ng kanin, pero minimal na lang and more on fruits and veggies). Then after 5pm, di na po ako kakain and kakain na lang po 9am the next day. :) Bali ung foods lang na kinakain ko minimal lang like kung hanggang saan at ilang amount lang kayang kainin mo. And avoid junk foods, sweets, fatty foods and sweet drinks that could hinder your eagerness to fast. Water is really effective for weight loss and fasting. Right now, I'm at 79.5 kilos :)

And in fasting state we should remember that we can only take 3 types of fluids: green tea, black coffee and water (no creamer and no sugar) Intermittent fasting is not a fad diet as you have said it is only a meal pattern, it is a lifestyle.

Intermittent fasting yes for me I use 8-16 window 3 months kona Ito ginagawa , from 63kg now I’m 59kg in my eating window I also cut out carbs on my diet . Pero lahat ng gusto kong kainin nkakain ko padin pero in small portion na .

Nag-IF Ako for a year and from 90kg, bumaba talaga ang timbang ko to 67 kg. Effective siya pero nagmukha akong matanda and dry yung skin ko. Kasi pulus diet at Jogging lang ginagawa ko. Now sinasabayan ko na siya ng workout sa gym to build some muscles and I like my body physique now.

Maling mali ka ma'am, we should not demonise sugar which is carbs. The one that should be "cut" is fat, the fat you eat is the fat you wear. Fat which is: milk (why would you even drink milk when you're an adult, and the milk powder mom's give to their children nowadays is not even necessary and healthy, breast fed milk is good enough), oil, butter, margarine, pork, beef, chicken, nuts, avocados, eggs, bacon, burger, french fries, do you get what I'm saying? Instead we should eat more sugars, which again is carbs: rice, potatoes, kamote, fruits, mangos, bananas, bread, etc... But do you know why? It's because sugars which again is carbs is 4 calories per gram compare to fat which is 9 calories per gram, so what does this mean? It means that you can eat double the amount of sugars compare to fat for the same amount of calories. So if you eat sugars (carbs) you will be easily satisfied and end up consuming much lower calories, which is the goal of weight loss than when you eat fats. When I'm talking about sugars I'm not saying eat more donuts, chocolate, I emphasize this because when you see on tv when they're talking about sugars, I guarantee you, you will see donuts, you know what's wrong with donuts? It's not the sugar, it's not the bread, it's the oil used to cook that bread.

Almost 8+ years na din ako nag fafasting, base on my experience eh legit sya na macocontrol mo yung weight mo HOWEVER need mong sanayin yung body mo na hindi kumain ng umagahan at tanghalian, bali kape, tubig maga ganyan lang kainin mo then sa hapon bago matulog, pwede kang kumain ng KAHIT NA ANONG GUSTO MO. Dipende kasi sa katawan ng tao kung gaano kabilis mag adapt sa fasting, sakin kasi umabot ng buong 2 months bago nasanay yun metabolism ka na hindi magutom ng umagahan at tanghalian.
I guess it is very effective coz from 60 kilos ay naging 46 kilos nalang ako ngayon. I started intermittent fasting late 2019 and after 4 months nabawasan po ako ng 7 kilos. Tapos dahan2 na talag akong nabawasan ng timbang hanggang na maintain ko na po ngayon ang timbang ko sa 46 kilos. I'm only 5 ft so ideal po sa height ko ang 46 kilos.

Proper/balanced diet together with exercise will give you good benefits. In my experience, I gain weight and reached 55kls from the usual 48kls. But when I decided to have a proper diet, less sugary foods/drinks and exercise, in just 4months from 55kls down to 45kls. And now, I'm still maintaining it.

I used the calorie deficit method and it works pretty well, I only consume 800 calories per day, only 1/4 of rice, from 195-145, after working out for 6 months straight, btw. my exercise are shadow boxing (cardio) and jogging, the total duration of my workout everyday averages between 1-2 hrs and it is worth it, no side effect or whatsoever.

As we grow old our metabolism weaken, to cope up with this I embrace IF. Started for 12 hours, now im on my 2nd mos. Of my 16:8 and aiming for 20 hrs.and planning to start to combine it with exercise. One thing that I really like with IF it kills my appetite no more binge eating. I watch Dr. Jason Fung, a kidney specialist and Dr. Jamnadas, a cardiologist on intermittent fasting. Last week I did 20/4 fasting and feasting. This week, I will do one meal a day. I'd say, listen to them and learn how to manage eating. As Dr. Jamnadas said, eating small meals frequently is not good for the insulin because it makes insulin levels always raised all the time. I am also trying my best to eliminate flour products. So far I lost some weight - not much - I am not weighing myself. I feel the loss in the way my clothes fit. My clothes no longer feel so snug. I don't do fasting, pero I limit myself to eat 3x a day. Mataba din ako. Pumayat lang ako matapos akong sabihan ng kaibigan ko:
1. 1 rice to no rice a day
2. Iwasan ang 3M's - Maalat, matamis, mamantika
3. drink a lot of water
4. Bawasan talaga ung calorie in take. Iwasan ang mga tinapay or dairy products, noodles, processed food, mas damihan ang gulay, fruits and proteins, itlog, fish chicken & meat

Days 3 ko ngayun kahit diko pa nakikita resulta sa katawan ko push padin ako sa pag balance sa mga kinakain ko. Dating 3 beses ako kumain ngayun 1 nalang. Para sakin ha kasi ngayun sanay nako na di kumain ng 3 beses. Tuwing maga iinom ako ng warm water tapos kakain ako ng 3 boiled egg tapos green tea. Pero minsan oat ang kinakain ko. Sa gabi naman oat meal tapos green tea na ulet. Dahil nasanay nako sa ganito. Samahan din ng exercise :) trust yourself eka nga.

8:16 is really effective though if you do much things like heavy lifting jobs or something that will make you tired up fast i think you should eat more in 8 hrs focus on more vegetables,fruits,beef and other healthy foods and also remember when you are in fast drink water or something that'll keep your body and mind good condition while fasting

During the stone age and even millions years ago, humans did not eat frequently. We either have none to eat or we feast. The best way for a healthier body is IF with low carb and periodic extended fasting. Moderate to high healthy fat, medium protein and low carb are proven to be the best

Like the experts said, we have our own doctor in our body, and fasting might be the answer. Yes with a typical 3 meals with snacks in between or kahit sabihin mo pa frequent “small” meals, that can result in insulin presence and that can cause most of the problems above.
Sorry, but it is not a fad diet. It is a lifestyle. I am 45yo and I have been doing IF 16:8 for more than two years now. I was 94.65kgs before IF and pre-diabetic, but when I started doing TMAD (two meals a day) and 16:8 hrs IF and sometimes 18:6, I gradually lost weight and my cardiac panel results eventually were all normal. I am now 58kgs and I am healthier, thanks to IF. I just make sure that while on fasting mode, I drink my water with himalayan salt to keep me hydrated. And before I start my feasting or eating time, I either sip on my home-made broth (may it be from chicken bones or pork bones) or sauerkraut. Then my go to feasting foods are always with a lot of vegetables, green leafy ones, partnered with fish and or any meat. I make sure that I don't eat beyond 6pm. This has become my way of eating for almost three years now and I feel way better than before.

Good job! I’m at 900 days Keto/carnivore IF OMAD 23:1 everyday myself. Every beginning of the month I do a 168hr prolonged fast! Lost 100lbs & stopped all maintenance pills. You don’t need kanin at asukal in life, that’s a myth! You need to o get fat adapted and ketones are the preferred fuel for the brain, not glucose!

I hope the program invited a registered physician who is an expert on IF. There are a lot of new studies now that promotes IF and caution about frequent meals. There are also a lot of benefits of IF that were not diacussed.

I tried intermittent fasting with calorie deficit last year. Matching working out and being active as much as possible. YES. I really lost a tons of weight. Pumayat ako ng sobra. However, it created side effects sakin. I BINGE. Para bang nag auto pilot ako whenever kakain ako, nakakaubos ako ng sobrang daming pagkain ng di ko namamalayan. Saka na ako titigil kapag sobrang puno na ng tyan ko. Tapos maguiguilty ako at hindi na naman kakain.

Just track your calorie intake guys
For girls 2,000 is normal for boys 2,500 calories
If you are a girl everyday try to eat calories for about 1,500 in one week and if not seeing any progress try to remove 300 or 500 calories so it'll be 1,200 or 1,000 calories perday! Same goes to the boys just remove 500 calories first.
This diet should be good at 2-3 months only!

I only consume oats 1 cup of oats That's 137 calories and adding 1 pack of milo 87 calories = 224
And drink a lot of WATER so that it'll trick your mind that you're already full. 1-4 days of doing this will actually make you think that you're not gonna make it but after 1 week TRUST me you'll be used to it.
Just see the labels at the back and think if you take that food will it be worth it? To full you enough and survive your calorie intake per day? Hope this helps ❤️
After you get your goal! It's time for you to change your diet into a healthier one! You can now eat rice again BUT you'll need to track the calorie of it. Just like before instead of oats. Carbs are Good for our body it's our energy! But too much is not good.
