  • Welcome back, Model A friends! In this video, we're diving deep into the heart of our beloved 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster. Today, we tackle a crucial task: removing the pistons and rods from the engine block to inspect things. We also remove the Camshaft and the lifters while we're at it.
Join us as we carefully disassemble the engine and examine the pistons and cylinders for any signs of wear and tear. Our thorough inspection leads us to a surprising discovery-the smoking gun behind those pesky metal shavings we discovered in Part 1 of this series.

Waiting to hear from the machine shop, but my guess is not enough piston to cylinder clearance when originally rebuilt. I have no idea how long it had been like that, but as long as I’ve had the car it never made any noises, etc.
