    JC, Blythwood Bee Company, continues to increase the product line we carry from Ceracell. We have all the products you featured from Ceracell. The only exception is the Ceracell bee suit and robbing screen. Well, be getting the screens in soon. I'm like you, I only like wearing vented jackets and then only when needed. Thanks for the mention!

    In summertime in Florida we get rain everyday.
    And that monkey suit I don't think so.
    It is hot here that is a heat stroke in the making. Yeah I parted ways with a full suit. Jacket with veil is good,still hot.

    • @JCsBees

      Oh yeah, I've been to Florida and I know it's gets crazy hot down there. I don't blame you for not wearing a full suit. I like my slip on veil a lot. Probably haven't wore a suit since my first couple of years keeping bees. I started in 2009. lol

    I agree with your advertisement on the bees escapes….and those cones being hard to snap in will be greatly appreciated throughout the year when you’re throwing them in a pickup to run to a different bee yard….I do wish the escapes were made out of a heavier grade plastic-in hot weather they struggle to hold up a full deep of
    honey…..but well worth it on a medium super….

    Another good video Jason. I sure like there bee escapes. I used them last year and had good results so I just ordered two more since I have more hives and got the 10% off. Thanks Jason. Hope my box will look better than yours did. LOL
    I have a double deep Hoover Hive body wax dipped and they looked good last summer. I overwintered the boxes in 1" styrofoam and this spring the fronts were mold covered. Painted boxes were all fine. Not sure what happened there.
    Have a good week.

    • @JCsBees
      @JCsBees  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Russell. Glad to hear you like them enough to have ordered more. They sure save a lot of work, in my opinion a good bee escape is a must to remove supers.
      That's weird the Hoover hive molded. Sounds like moisture got under the wax to me but I could be wrong. I'd try setting it in direct sun and see if the sun kills the mold. Keep me post if you do, please!
      Have a great rest of the week! 😉

    • @russellkoopman3004
      @russellkoopman3004 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JCsBees Thanks for the response Jason. The Hoover hive had 1" of Styrofoam on three sides and the front just 1/2" and it was cut 6" short on the front (area for condensation). So the front is where all the frost developed all winter. The painted boxes didn't mold.

    That beast entrance thingy is pretty neat. I’ve wanted to try their bee escapes, but hard to find stateside. Blythewood didn’t show them. With high concentration of beetles here, I just want to try a couple, but have to go with wood for now. Good showcase JC...

    I have used both the Ceracell feeders and bee escapes. They both work very well. As you said top of the line. I would like to add that if it does not cool off at night the bees will not go back to the brood box, at least not the majority. Also I put my feeders above the inner cover because the bees plug up the feeder outlets and the underneath if I set them on top of frames.

    • @JCsBees
      @JCsBees  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point on the temps having to drop at night for the bees to return to the brood box. Interesting idea adding feeder above inner cover. Glad you figured out a way to make them work for you.

    Nice equipment. I have a 8 frame hover hive and it was wax dipped and for some reason it gets terrible hot the bees beard on it when it's in the 70s and is the only 1 that does it. I noticed it last year and it has started this year already. I placed a block under the top to hold it up some for ventilation and it helped. Good luck with all your new projects. ❤️🐝

    • @JCsBees
      @JCsBees  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @theceracellbeekeepingchann4889
      @theceracellbeekeepingchann4889 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They are the same, we developed the white clips to allow two round comb frames, this way you can put in a standard deep box instead of a dedicated round comb super. So if you have ross rounds, the clips will fit those so you can utilize the ross round you already have.
