Thanks for watching Mark much appreciated. Weighed 2lbs 1 oz biggest I have ever caught from beach more luck than skill I think. Did try to go fishing last week and got asked to go home by a very nice policeman who said that his chief constable felt that sea fishing was not really exercise and I showed angling trust website to no avail so am a little confused by this all. Another you tuber I know also got asked to leave the beach but am also being told by friends on south coast still people out fishing. Am going trout fishing this Saturday unless told otherwise. Thanks for the subscription and stay safe cheers Paul
Biggest one I have ever caught and I can catch fish occasionally 😂😂 cheers fella for watching am at work at this horrible time of morning 😩 take care 👍👍🐠🐠
Hi Paul great videos I all watch every one and I you make me laugh it your sense of humour that cracks me up I would like to know is that your real laugh ?. Could u mention it in your next video please and good luck in them fish 🐟🐟🐟
Hi Shaun and yes my laugh unfortunately for my wife is like that and she says imagine living with that. I like to think of us as infectious or different and a little like a hyena. We are over in Greece at the moment as my children live abroad and my son came over from Poland and my daughter from Dubai. Been massive storms and floods but weather when we arrowhead started to calm down. Will be back in Uk in a week and will give you and the laugh a shout out on the next video. Much appreciated your commenting and watching cheers Paul 👍🐠🐠
Hi fellow really kind of you to like and subscribe and take the time to watch and comment. My fingers are crossed that your next trip will be a day with one or two fish landed 🤞🤞🤞take care cheers Paul
Great Plaice for the pan. Enjoyed and subscribed. You favour having your multipliers up the rod when most seems to use them nearer the bottom of the rod. I ask cause Im planning on getting a couple of multipliers for Christmas and as a fixed spool user Im a bit clueless and would prefer to mount them like you do. Top film and looking forward to your next.
Multipliers are like marmite you either love or hate them. I grew up with multipliers as a 16 year old many years ago when cod were plentiful and these reels gave the distance with 13 foot rods. Secret to multipliers is to tune them by practicing in a field as they are prone to the dreaded birds nest. I use them as I am comfortable with them although continental rods generally about 15 foot and married up to large Fixed spool reels are becoming popular. By mounting multipliers lower on the rod you get more action from the tension in the rod which belts out the weight. I am just used to where I have them and there is no wrong or right way and just my preference. Casting with reels lower down is a challenge and I would start with reels further up. If I want distance I will pendulum cast but again practice, practice and more practice is the secret. I am considering trying a continental longer rod and have asked Santa aka my wife for one. Big thanks for subscribing as it makes the videos all worthwhile.
Hi Arthur, thanks for your support and positive comments. Really appreciate your subscription sitting here uploading yesterdays fishing foray. Cheers Paul
Ok so you have fished the Indian Ocean. Cool 😎 so your uncle taught you how to fish the same one with the jammed cigar and whiskey in one hand 😄 awesome !
Yep my uncle in another life would have been a pirate. Did not have a good relationship with my parents and my aunt and uncle brought me up. He was a very straightforward man and in my later years always sought his advice. Had many adventures with him and miss him.Always think about him when fishing. His wife is still around who I still see although she is over 80 but still has a zest for life.
Have travelled the world when younger and fished many of the oceans. Always take a travel rod in my luggage and was in the military so got paid to travel and see the world.
Do swimmers put fish off? I don’t think so. Fished with my daughter sometime last year and there were literally people swimming across our lines but she still managed 5 little schoolies.
Hi Phil thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Makes me more confident about future fishing trips if swimmers in the water and I do have respect for them swimming in the winter 🥶 as it is very cold in the water. I have spoken to a few of them on the beach and they tell me it is very invigorating and empowering but I am going to stick to fishing. Wanted to go out a couple days ago but wind was in the dreaded East, and am at work now but going out fishing this weekend 👍👍👍
Hi Tom, good question generally weather not that good in winter months and often rainy. So I set my beach shelter on the latest high tide line to keep my filming kit , drone etc dry as all the electronics do not like the wet. I take a lot of gear cooker etc which needs to be out of the rain. If I set up to close to the sea am constantly having to take shelter down and put up which is more ass ache than walking up and down. In some of my videos I move the rod rest and rods closer if it is not wet. Other reasons are I am an old bloke and like a beer so need the exercise.

Why do you fish so far from the sea seems hard work walking back and forth
