Thank you so darn much for this video. I have a couple questions for anyone who’d like to help me. I am painting a Nintendo Wii Zapper and I know I’m essentially asking an NFL team how to tie my cleats whilst the only thing I know about football is how to out those cleats on, and I’m terribly sorry for this! 😂 I also must apologize in advance for not knowing any proper terms 🤦♂️ The Zapper is plastic and breaks down into several parts which have all been primed with black Rust-Oleum sandable primer and wet sanded up to 1000 grit. I only have to remove surface contaminants before I apply the primary color. I will then apply clear coat before the final step of sanding/buffing/etc. The main color: Rust-o-Leum Blue Galaxy Color shift. The clear is R-O Painter’s Touch 2x Gloss. I’ve made a small paint booth that lets me hang each piece for painting if needed. (Please, if something sounds off or if I’ve left something out *please* tell me!) 1. I was unsure if I need to paint the Zapper assembled in order to get the desired effect. I don’t know how these paints work, so I don’t know if our two paints work the same. If they do, that answers the assembled-or-not question. 2. If the body parts are painted separately, how should they be positioned and should they all be consistently positioned at the same angle? For example, could 1 piece be sprayed perpendicular to the floor and another sprayed angled, like in your video? Is spraying it perpendicular to the floor not recommended? That’s where I’m at and looking to finish. Any help would be so wonderful!😊
Another great job as always dude! Would you reccomend following the same steps for pearl jobs? I'm doing a blue and gold ghost pearl over an ivory base. It looked amazing over the speed shape I did, but I'm getting the pre game jitters when it comes to the whole car. Thinking about doing the targa top and accessories first then body after it cures. Thoughts?
I still get pre game jitters here and there lol .. always have FULL TEST PANLES like fenders bumpers ect ect . And no do everything at once or you will / can possibly get different shades
@@ericwade2136 I'm gonna be doing intercoat using the color blender. Marco thanks for the tip! I'm gonna use the underside of my trunk as the test panel since it will need to be done anyway! Away we go!!
Man that comes out clean that would look cool on a lowrider with some patterns and metal flake mixed in the clear coat would be popping is that chameleon speedokote brand 🤘🏻
Holy baby Jesus.... that is crazy! I wanted forever to paint my cobra a mystic chrome, but the only thing I could see from my phone is the music has a third shift that's a copper color. Does the one you use have it or I wonder if it could be created with a different base coat or candy?
Hey there I have been watching a lot of your videos and I am learning a lot I had a question about that big fan at your door it looks like it would be pulling to much air out of the shop and making it hard to paint in but you make it look easy
As always bad ass work bro.. I have a question. I just got my paint from speedokote. Ordered 1k sealer and single stage paint. My question is when I spray the sealer how long can I wait before single stage. It gonna be cold for the next few days and I'll only have time to spray sealer then I'll have to wait a few days before paint. Is thing gonna work or should I just wait till it warms up.. thanks for you help in all your videos.
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 The smr 1150 worked great at 40 degrees with the 15 to 20 minutes for flash time but not having a paint booth this European clear with the 5 minute flash is going to change the game 💯 percent
@@ericwade2136 I notice in cold weather it still needs a 15 min flash, but anything about 45 degrees I can spray in a second coat with only a 5-8 min flash
Nice job Marco!! Just curious though. You said start with black base. Why? Would the color shift tints change over different bases like white or a light gray? Amateur question 🤔
Can you try a clear coat as a sealer? I wondered it could be work. ( Only for emergency use if you need to paint but run low on sealer) Nice messing around!

Are you adding your pearl to the clear or using a intercoat? I've heard them done both ways

You can spray it with sealer , then just scuff it with a red scuff pad before paint

Yea fast dry euro clear with fast activator. This is the fastest drying euro clear you will find on the market

You can put it over anything .in order to get the full effect you need to apply over black

No cons that iv noticed so far , at 3 coats it looks even more insane.
