I think the Last Jedi is going to come out as the most liked of the new Trilogy.
Hell just the scenes of Yoda, the Throne Room fight scene, the Holdo maneuver, and Luke's death are probably going to be the most memorable scenes of the trilogy.
ROS was bland as fuck, and Awakens has basically Han's death.
For SW in general you have two definitive great films. Then RotS, RotJ, FA, and tLJ, take your freaking pick.

I don’t understand how people hate the rise of skywalker more than the last Jedi, the movie certainly wasn’t the best it could’ve been but you build something on a fickle foundation it will never stand as strongly as it could, truth is the last Jedi and even the force awakens to an extent did not build a strong enough foundation for the climax of the series to be exceptional, the force awakens was ok and sewed seeds atleast but the last Jedi just quite literally destroyed everything, for them to bring it back the way they did in the last skywalker I say pretty damn good job tbh, many things regardless I still don’t like about it mainly the KK’s creative input such as removing anakin scenes etc but past that they did a decent job wrapping things up atleast

As someone who did nor care for either TLJ or ROS. Rise of Skywalker felt lazy. It had it's moments, but felt so uninspired. Too me it just like Disney and Lucasfilms was trying to satisfy a very loud minority. Bringing back Palptine was a mistake because it undoes everything about the previous trilogies and halts any real progress to the story, since it has to explain a bunch things that never really set up in the previous two films. The first half of the movie I liked, up until the Chewie fake out dying scene. I enjoyed interaction between the characters, but it completely lost after the Palptine grandaughter reveal. I wasn't a fan of Last Jedi, but where it left Kylo set up as the villian I did like. I was hoping RoS would build on that, instead of disregarding it. I won't call anybody who liked the movie idiots or morons, but as fan myself I was disappointed. None of the big moments with force ghost voices and Redistance fleet felt earned to me. Better planning was what this trilogy needed.

When the force awakens was announced I remember seeing an interview with Oscar and how invested and excited he was with the movie and how he did everything to get in the movie, now he’s pretty much done and completely uninvested in his character.

The thing is, I LOVE these actors... Ridley, Boyega, Driver, Isaac... All cast into roles that ended up being terribly disappointing and mistreated. I feel bad for them, honestly, because they are very talented. They deserved better, especially the actors from the original cast like Hamill.

Ian McDiarmid really agreed to come back to the series without knowing what he got himself into. It’s a shame; he played one of the most memorable characters in the previous films and this movie is almost a stain on the previous ones.
Ian was brought in very late. They had a very different script involving Anakin, Vader, etc. Disney panicked and wanted a popular villain and called him up. He's stated in numerous interviews as far as he knew Palps was dead and he would not return. I just finished two videos with more details on these topics.

I feel like he was the best part of the film. Ian McDiarmid is always has been so fun in this franchise. I agree the story of bringing Palpatine back was horrible idea all round but the execution was good.

Can you imagine how JJ felt when he heard that? Daniels, the only actor who has been in every single star wars movie, basically every show that had C-3P0, a ton of spin-offs and shorts, and several games has just been asked what he thinks about the movie you made that is meant to cap off the franchise he's been with since its inception, and all he has to say say is how utterly fucking baffled and disappointed he is.
During the interviews it's surprising to see that for a room filled with actors and actresses, it's the producers and directors that are trying so hard to fool us and put on an act.

Honestly I think one major factor of Daisy being over it was because she wasn't for Reylo and we all know what happened.
I remember an early interview in Spring 2019 and she shot down the idea. I guessed things changed during the reshoots over the summer.

I just lost interest when they killed off luke skywalker. They bait you with luke Skywalker then show him at the end of one movie then what feels like fifteen minutes in another. No reason to watch the last movie no luke no emotional attachment to the other characters. I tried but i just couldn't get attached for some reason. The closest character that was good was Finn as his motivations make perfect sense.
Because all of the new characters are written in such a boring way. Many of them lack actual character development, and it makes them seem one dimensional and flat. I dont think this is the actors' fault.
Jason Richter i mean from what im hearing a lot of people kept trying to go in different directions with the story . Both oarties had great ideas but decided on a compromise. Meaning neither side got to tell the story they wanted and because of that both sides tell half a story leaving a mixed up story that leaves neither side happy. Of course the actors picking checks are going to be like chaching it was great see ya.
For me it was when Solo died, there wasn't any lead up to it.
I think it makes sense for both of those characters to die and pass the torch. The problem is that their deaths are implemented poorly, and don't really do anything to change the character of the new cast. So they wasted all the dramatic potential.

TBH all the actors were way too good. I mean, they were so good they duped all of us into thinking that TFA was good and the rest of the movies would be too. Unfortunately, no amount of good acting can cover up the soullessness festering on the inside.

Thing that just annoys me the most is that Disney was like "We aren't going to use any of the 'legends' material, were going to make our own story. But almost ever elements that they used in the last three movies have had in the 'legends' material. But they used it in all the wrong ways and settings then how it was setup in the 'legends'

I didn't believe it was a proper way to end the Skywalker saga. But I do blame this trilogy on those who didn't plan this trilogy out thoroughly.
『Platnum Breaker』 You are completely correct. With a well laid out plan these movies could of been absolutely gorgeous.
One of the problems was that Carrie Fisher died, so they had to rewrite Episode IX around that. The other problem was that Rian Johnson wrote Episode VIII as a standalone movie that disregards a lot of previous material, which makes it great for critics but horrible for longtime fans. Given these two conditions, their hands were tied for Episode IX. Sure it could have been better, but probably not by much. There's only so much you can salvage.
SPARTAN-501 starting IX with Leia’s funeral would have been decent.
That's really the main problem with this trilogy. No direction, no idea of the themes or messages it wanted to convey, no planning, no story arc, no character arcs. I don't blame JJ Abrams and I don't blame Rian Johnson, Rian is actually a competent director when he knows what he's doing, he just didn't know wtf he was doing with TLJ, at which point he should have been removed simply because he didn't know what he was doing, but as we all know that didn't happen. I also don't know how much I purely blame Kathleen Kennedy or Bob Iger... I don't think anyone knew wtf was going on in this series. And that was the problem.

Hey everybody. I recently posted tried to post this to reddit, but strangely, when i try to post it it's blocked. And specifically only blocked on the main communities that might help it gain traction? like r/videos or r/movies. I even tried posting it on a reddit profile i never use and is unrelated to the other and it's still blocked on those communities. It will only let me post, conveniently, on small communities. I have broken no rules on the site i know of, and rarely am even on reddit, much less on those communities, so i dont even know how they know i exist (especially the profile no one knows about). Needless to say the video might be doing a lot better if i was allowed to post it normally. So i'm asking you guys a favor. If you could please at least try to post to any relevant reddit community, mainly r/videos and r/movies, and tell me if it's blocked, that would help a lot. This is both to see if it's my video that's blocked or my profiles that are blocked. But also just for promotions sake. Please tell me if it gets blocked on r/videos etc. Here's the link thank you...

I don't think that's it. They are going to get paid for their work in Star Wars. What they fear is losing employability. If you establish a reputation for bad mouthing a movie you're supposed to promote, no one will give you any roles in the future.
