Some nights when I was a kid, my mum and I would finish a run-through of Yoshi's story and leave the ending music playing for me to fall asleep to. What a fantastic cover of a gorgeous tune.

Thank you! The first thing I tried was a kazoo pitched up an octave, but it was a little TOO accurate, so I fell back on the nose flutes.
I'm a 36-year-old man, and I can honestly say this made me tear up so much. This brought back so many memories of my childhood of such a simpler easier time, Thank you for this.
We may only get 1-2 PPF videos per year but every one of them are complete bangers when they come around.

9 months since the last upload. i assumed it was a random old video on my front page before i noticed the "23 minutes ago".
Definitely not god like. This cover is complete and utterly trash. It barely sounds anything alike to the original. Worthless peasent you have obviously never heard good music.

Man the last time I listened to this song was when I was replaying my save on my super famicom on my last trip to see my family in Japan. I used to go every 2 years after moving to the states but now its been 7 and I have my own family. I need to get back there and share with them everything that I grew up with. This song always hit a certain nostalgic string in my heart. Beautiful rendition.

This song exemplifies child-like wonder and innocence, and is a fond memory of a time when things were simpler. A time when the worries of the world weren't a care at all, and the brutal realities of being an adult weren't even so much as a forethought. I never really thought about it until now, but it was likely this game, Yoshi's Story, that made me such a fan of the technicolored dinosaur, and why Yoshi is my favorite Mario character to this day. The plucky and cute little guys who, despite being afraid, and with the whole, big, mysterious world stacked against them, nevertheless strike out on a grand adventure, writing their own story, overcoming the odds, and winning the day with a smile and a bounce in their step.
As soon as I played the song and was sent about 17 years to the past, even got some tears. I can say u just spit

I found this on iTunes the other day and started crying as soon as the recorder came in. It just encapsulates that feeling of youth and splendor you’ll never quite seem to get back.

Just showed my 67 year old dad this cover (and a bunch of others you've done) because I've grown up hearing him play a bunch of these instruments you have such as nylon acoustic guitar, nylon wound bass guitar, finger piano (which he made for some high school class he taught on design once), melodica (he prefers the long tube version), mandolin (which was passed down from his mum who used to play it) and he's the only other person I knew, until I found you, who has consistently long nails for the guitar picking!
He liked it a lot, commenting especially how accurate these covers were to the original tracks

I don't even remember this song very much, and I wasn't even the biggest fan of this game, though I did enjoy it, and yet man this song hit so hard. It's so beautiful, it brought me to tears. I should give this game another shot.

If I may, I think the most impressive runs on my channel are my unofficial world records where I ran behind our NES bike 🚴 🏃 and beat tough titles like Ninja Gaiden, Contra without the Konami code, and even went up against Battletoads… while running 🤣 was trying to encourage wellness and involve it in gaming, with a unique twist.

My wife and I love this song. She’s always loved the N64 and played yoshi story growing up. She lost when she was younger so I bought her a copy of yoshi story while we were dating. I was showing her some of your music cuz I love pretty much everything you do and this song became like a special song for us! I hope you continue to create awesome covers!

Back when we were little kids, my brother beat this game and he got so emotional from this track that we had to hide the game away 😂 I still have that copy of the game and this cover brings a tear to my eye. Good times.

My wife cries whenever she hears this song. On our honeymoon, I took my Wii with me with Yoshi's Story on the virtual console. My wife didn't have much experience with videogames prior to meeting me, but I had a hunch she would absolutely adore the spooky-cute vibes of this game. I was very right. Can't wait to show her this cover.

Agreed. I guess the original was probably meant to sound like it was played by kindergarteners, which it did, but...that's not really a pleasant thing to listen to. You only do that when you're a parent of one of the kids playing. You go _knowing_ it'll be bad. But I don't play videogames with that kind of expectation.
I can't listen to this too often. Every time I do I become a complete wreck for some reason. It's inconsolable beauty.

After many times of hearing this, this is the first time I nottice the quality of the recording. With headphones, you can feel all the noises in an atmospheric sorround very well balanced and detailes. Awesome dude
