@@DrivingThroughJapan , watch through the whole last year! The work Dan and his friends has done is nothing but amazing!! Especially in the beginning, when it was...JUST Dan!!
I first saw Dan on his first day at Chateau LaLande as a gardener. He was so funny and a big hit. He was restoring an old farm structure into a house. Just fascinating the progress he’s made over the years in photography and new channel.
I agree. Problem is its addictive. My mantra is just one more episofe, about ten times a night. Lol. I love the enthusiasm that never seems to waiver by all concerned. Its infectious
OMG, I was shaking, knees knocking, gripping onto the arms of my chair seeing you sit on the edge like that. I wouldn’t do that on a house that didn’t get burned down. Holy cow that was tough to watch, but I’m so excited for you. I can see the finished rooms in my head when you go through them. It’s gonna be beautiful
Wow ! We were waiting for Dan’s video👏👏👏All his friends are here ,sitting, standing or just laying down on the sofa with the cup of tea/ coffee ☕️ and enjoying watching SO MUCH🇨🇦💯
We love how you guys work together to get things done whether its unloading the trailer of wood beams or putting the steel into their respective places. Now Dan is getting us all excited about how this Chateau is going to look in the end.
From here on in it will be the last steel, the last floor and the highest floor. there certainly is a sparkle in your voice and eyes. No more noggins and floor beams and so on. Hard work Dan and you made it work and never gave up.
Aerial shot of you guys working on the top floor just took my breathe away, seriously!!! Wowser's what an accomplishment. All should be so very proud of this crazy accomplishment. Awesome to you!!!!
I especially liked the bit about carrying the wood for the roof inside & stacking it. It really brought into perspective the progress that it being made. It is a room with a floor and a ceiling. Shows just how beautiful Chateau de Chaumont will be 🧡

It's amazing how you have managed to streamline the flooring process. I can remember when you just did one wooden beam at a time. Now, you just knock multiples out at a time. Plus, NOGGINS! Congrats on the new view.
Love it! As a person with acrophobia, it made my stomach churn a bit to watch the drone taking video of the three of you on the top floor. Good thing you are all tree monkeys with no fear of heights! The build just gets faster and faster and more and more interesting. Love watching.
I noticed there is a crack at the apex, to the right (in the granite). That will require some delicate work. Shoring up all the walls could take some time but I have no doubt, will be accomplished. It is quite a view from that level. I wonder if there will be additional forestry work to enhance the view? So many things to think about!
It is amazing it's still standing it looks so top heavy. It would be a shame if once they get over to it and bump it and the granite top falls off. I wonder if it has a metal frame inside the pillars on each side.
I guess. It was meant to be the highest. Chateau in the area. The Chateau CHAUMON🎉 IM VERY INTERESTED IN HOW DAN IS PLANNING TO DO ROOF FOR THE TALL ARCH🎉
To be honest, I was close to tears today. This is such a huge step that you reached. Building up the walls, put a roof on the the chateau is in theory half done. Stunning Dan, absolutely stunning.
You know what is great to watch everyone is working while filming…they all work together without one person doing nothing but filming. That is what you call successful and steady teamwork. You guys rock..not one slacker in the team. 👏👏👏 What a great example on a renovation project which is really progressing. 😊
I enjoy it because Dan works so hard, he isn’t just throwing lots of money at it, works with his mates and clearly enjoying the whole process of bringing the building back to life.

Dan, while each video is engaging and very entertaining. for some reason I am feeling very excited for how much you have achieved. It is truly a phoenix project, watching the chateau rise from the ashes by your sheer determination and skills, along with the assistance of a few others. I hope to live long enough to see you finish the chateau, but regardless, I’m so grateful that you have shared your journey with us. 👏
Finally, I have caught up to "real" time. Wow! What an awesome project. This is, by far, the most interesting program on TH-cam, for me. Now that you are reaching the top, it seems that you have a lot of repair work to do on the masonry. The amount of missing rock/brick is frightening. I am a history person and I love the fact that you are restoring history. I would love to do the same thing and restore the old Bede estate in France. Good luck as you progress. Does it ever stop raining there? Our Minnesota weather is very similar this year; rain and more rain. Thank you for sharing your project with us.
Yes when you watch Dan's journey from the beginning then it gives a better insite and enjoy the videos more when you understand what has gone into it to get to this point.
I shed a tear when you were at the top of the last floor. Begone all the naysayers who from the first view said why and you will never. Well, you definitely proved them all wrong Dan. With a great team of mates Nic, Cameron, Calvin and Brian building side by side with you. A great Sponsorship by Feestol. Youve made it Dan never a doubt in my mind. @@johnoneill5812Wouldn't worry about it, apart from Brian being an engineer himself, they probably get inspected off camera by local authorities (civil engineers) and architects who inspect the progress stages, it's normal procedure when doing structural work on any property in many countries. Thank you for sharing!! I just love watching all you do! 😊 Dan, your excitement as the last beam arrives is so inspiring! ❤
Your château is smiling, Dan.. As she did when the lights first went on, and Xmas tree. Now she wants her lid on.. And I'll be here to watch. Excellent work. Please mark the last noggin with the date you put it in... As a sort of ceremony.. 😂❤❤❤
Dan is one of the rare TH-camrs having a truly engaged bench of followers. Look at his total nber of followers versus the nber of view computed by the time the video is live. As an average, he is getting 55% of his community engaged in the first 9 hours. He is surely a potential sponsor fantastic bargain considering the audience not being teenagers
I know I have said this before but I really must acknowledge how fantastic your sound editing is! The BEST SOUND ever Dan! You have layered things so well and created drama and story arc. Well done!!
Absolutely love the shot of the 3 of you sat at the top of the chateau. Little bit disappointed in the lack of noggin footage, you had to remember Dan, your noggin fans havnt got much noggin time left, because you’ve nearly cracked the last floor 😂😂😂😂. Great vlog. Thank you and sleep well K🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
I suppose we all have our own likes about Dan’s channel. My husband was a builder all his life and it was always magical for me to see him take an empty lot and build a beautiful home or take a rundown job and turn it into a beautiful place to live. I just happened upon his channel right from the beginning and seeing that young man spend hours after hour digging trash out of the basement with only a shovel and wheel barrow and you had to admire his stamina and I just had to keep watching wondering how long it would take him before he gave up and praying he would not. The big highlight was when his friend “orange pants” would come and help and they would get a room completed . It is so much easier on him now with his channel has grown and he can afford to have helpers an tools and he is still filled with the wonder of restoring this old castle back to its former glory. That’s what keeps us all riveted and just filled with this same enthusiasm to see this magnificent castle once again a beautiful completed building. Hurrah for you Dan…I am sure there is nothing much that can keep you from pushing on until it’s finished. One more thing I want to say to the ladies who are watching please keep on with your lovely sexy remarks but PLEASE if you are elderly don’t tell him your age. Let him think there are a bevy of beautiful young things that are grooving on them. I raised two very sweet and loving males and just the thought of old ladies with those kind of thoughts is painful. Bless you Dan for a job well done.👏
you have very good friends all hard workers i grew up being told i can do anything i put my mind to its hard work but in the end your vision you will see thats why i believed in you from the start when you bought the chateau and still do it is beauty seeing it become as it once was
... and I AM excited!! It's just astounding the progress from day to day and I'm really looking forward to the intricate construction of the stand-alone roof! You guys are the best! I feel as raised up as the chateau!
Clever moving of that beam Dan by yourself. Yes, noggin on. Your rain problem sounds like my house. I’ve been chasing leeks for a long time. It’s a momentous occasion with the last steel arriving. Extremely happy for you. Yeah, I got all teary for you. It’s exceptional what you have done Dan. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩

Up there now in the midst of all that damage. Can't wait to see how you deal with it all. Makes me want to be there as it is done but will have to content myself in following this great project from afar.
Amazing progress you are all gaining from experience to date and Brian the builders input,it's probably a first for him too the complexity of structure , erosion and fire damage. The biggest room a mansard attic with the granite arch and access to the highest turret stairway, great aerial filming showing off the three of yous skills at height!
With the drone shots, I see how it is all coming together..........how exciting! There were things that didn't make sense before that now make perfect sense. Thank you for sharing this awesome adventure with all of us.
Bonjour, You are moving forward really fast, that is obvious and I admire this pugnacity. As for the shots from the top of your building, I cannot watch them, I suffer from severe vertigo and as soon as a sequence presents itself in this way, I immediately zap. This does not prevent me from impatiently awaiting the evolution of this construction. La France est un beau pays et j'y suis né

@@johnoneill5812 Me too. And I guess the time is now. And the winch can handle all of the hoisting needed so it will be done efficiently by Danny alone. I wonder what the guys in the crew do with their lives when not Chaumonting. Hope all is well with Cameron. Hope to see him again.
@@johnoneill5812Wouldn't worry about it, apart from Brian being an engineer himself, they probably get inspected off camera by local authorities (civil engineers) and architects who inspect the progress stages, it's normal procedure when doing structural work on any property in many countries. Of the many videos I've watched on French buildings I don't think they're any different.
@@patrickadams6726 Right! Cameron and his whats and whereabouts. Where is he? Missing him. And this is the thing with any big project:What do you do once it is finished? We will have to wait and see.
She emerges! Chapeaux to you, Dan.
Yay, my favourite channel

It's amazing. You imagine all of those beams tied in everywhere. That thing is so solid now...now just shore up that arch!! It's all just exciting!!
I bet the view, before the fire, was even nicer, as those trees were much shorter in the past.
What an accomplishment, you guys rock!
Keep going, Dan. That spot of light at the end of the tunnel is getting bigger and brighter
You have my respect and admiration for doing the day to day drudge renovation work and add filming and editing it in a way that's captivating and leaving us all wanting more days just the same. It's exciting to think you will have it completely roofed soon. Can't wait for wall preparation, plumbing and electrical to begin ...
Loved the footage with the three of you sitting on the parapet. 👏👏
It's a grand palace, Dan! Today I'm watching from the dental chair.
My dentist just said, "Man, I should do something inspiring like that." Umm... well, he helps people every day. Way to make my dr wanna up his game! 🤣
08:02 Hearing footsteps on wooden floor in old buildings of any sort is such an iconic thing. I love it.
I know all of you are enjoying your work there at the Chateau! At 67 y.o. I just bought a little 2bd/1bath in the mountains of West Virginia, and I am having a blast with all the fixin' up. Luckily, there is a super handyman to help with the more difficult things for me. It is my little castle! I applaud all your efforts and am cheering you on with every accomplishment!! Thank you for sharing!! I just love watching all you do! 😊 Dan, your excitement as the last beam arrives is so inspiring! ❤
That picture of you three sitting on the edge is the pic for the month of June.
Your château is smiling, Dan.. As she did when the lights first went on, and Xmas tree. Now she wants her lid on.. And I'll be here to watch. Excellent work. Please mark the last noggin with the date you put it in... As a sort of ceremony.. 😂❤❤❤
I honestly had tears in my eyes when I saw you boys sitting on top of the Chateau
What an achievement 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The three Musketeers!! Way to go boys, marvellous job!!
That shot looked like an album portrait =) maaate! I'm so excited to see this progress ❤
Looking good so far ...cant wait for roofs 😊
Of course Monkey Dan has to dangle his feet off of the top of the chateau. Great work!
Brought tears to my eyes to see how far you have come, well done Dan, Nick, Brian and thank you.
Peace and Love to all my fellow Escapees!!
....and to you, as well!
I have learned so much about rebuilding a CHATEAU!!! 🥰❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🏰🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

Seat belts on.... Let's go👍🏼

Me supo a poco esperaba un video más largo
I've been waiting for this floor to go in since before this time last year, and the day finally arrived!
Amazing how fast it is coming together.
That rain would do my head in. It can't be good for the floor supports, but then again, I'm not a builder. Great work guys.😊
Bless you Dan for a job well done.👏
you have very good friends all hard workers i grew up being told i can do anything i put my mind to its hard work but in the end your vision you will see thats why i believed in you from the start when you bought the chateau and still do it is beauty seeing it become as it once was
The scene at 11:00 you can Sell as wallpaper. ❤Big congrats to the complete Team 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
... and I AM excited!!
When you showed us the view and stood on the edge my toes and feet tingled like never before, wow! That was crazy.
And he's always in a positive mood, singing, whistling. Dan brings us viewers positivety! No matter how hard and difficult his taks are. Thank you Dan, thank you guys! ❤
Six outfits in one video, Dan you are turning this into a fashion show.
😂😂😂👍👋
Take note clothes designers. Our Dan's tall, lean & handsome.😁👍
Two days of filming
Sitting on top of the world looking down on creation. Must be a fantastic feeling❤. Well done boys. Update on pups?? Please?? Much love from South Africa❤❤❤
😂😂😂 never not Dan 😅
Just watching how quickly you can cut and shape the wood now with Axminster Tools generous contribution is simply amazing. Super scary to watch you on the parapet😫😫😳😳😫😳😫 good job you all have a head for heights. Thank you all for the best videos on TH-cam 👏👏👏👏👏

Amazing team work
OMG! You fella's are fantastic. Such muscle and strength. A job so well done. 👏👏👏Sending you all best wishes, you are an awesome team 🇦🇺🦘🐨
Bonjour,
You are moving forward really fast, that is obvious and I admire this pugnacity. As for the shots from the top of your building, I cannot watch them, I suffer from severe vertigo and as soon as a sequence presents itself in this way, I immediately zap. This does not prevent me from impatiently awaiting the evolution of this construction. La France est un beau pays et j'y suis né
