Definitely worth it - please keep making your excellent vids, PB. Not sure about the 'music' though :-) The dreaded towel mountain in the airing cupboard - plumber's nightmare, as well as under sink cupboards full of a grand's worth of cleaning products. Also don't forget to set your torque wrench back to zero when not in use so the mechanism isn't under tension. Helps it keep it's accuracy.
Keep it up. Recently subbed and have watched all your vids. Especially like the high quality tool recommendations and the life of a jobbing plumber vids. Thanks for sharing and the effort you are putting in
Great video! The SureStop valve was certainly a head scratcher. I will bear that mind if I get a similar call. And those two port valves 😂. Brilliant video matey. 👍 👏
Good view of showing the torque screwdriver. I've read where it's important to tighten down terminals with aluminum wiring to a specific amount. But I've never seen one actually used. good videos, keep going !
Good advice about the torque wrench - takes out the guesswork. But one tip: if you're using it for different applications, ALWAYS check you've set it to the right torque for the job you're about to do - it's too easy to forget you had set it something higher for the previous job...
Alright dude, loving the videos, I’m in property maintenance myself and lean more towards plumbing kitchens and bathrooms and fitting radiators etc, obviously I’m not gas safe registered so don’t play around with any boilers and gas pipes etc but like to learn about the ins and outs of a plumbers life as it were so yeah these videos definitely keep me watching! Ps... thanks for the van storage video you did a while back, my Renault traffic is on order and will be with me in the next week or so and the layout in the back will be pretty similar to your old Vauxhall one. Keep em going mate! Marc
Nice to see a non-wireman using bootlace ferrules. So many times I've come across installations that have wire whiskers sticking out of JBs and terminal blocks. Worth getting yourself a pin ferrule set as well, and for ganging up more that one cable you can get boot lace ferrules with the plastic bit sized to take 2 cables. Keep up the good work, and nice torque wrench, as a fellow Wera user I'm a bit jealous...
On the remehas and vaillants I usually use a nut spinner. Hard to over torque them that way. I also don’t have room for a torque wrench in my Tech-MCT. Stuffed it full of hand tools haha. Might need a bigger bag but I don’t want back problems later on...
ferrules tells you that in has been a serious guy installing your stuff!! When you have used your torquewrench, don´t forget to put it back to zero before storage it, if you do that it stays accurate longer, cheers from Sweden!!!!
Great vid, bet your call out customers felt a bit foolish when you pointed things out to them. But it is what it is and we all can overlook the basics in thinking the worst, you show great patience and understanding. Earning a crust is more important than these vids but I’m very grateful and enjoy them immensely. None pro. Thank you. Regards Mike
Keep em up mate. The electrical industry is big on torquing equipment to manufacturer's instructions too mate. Due to consumer unit fires we're back to installing metal CUs now and there's a push to use torque drivers on protective devices etc. They reckon overtightening is as bad as undertighting too! Manufacturer's instructions are the Bible mate.
When I watch other plumbing videos...or electrical videos on youtube, there are always Europeans in the comments bragging about how everything in Europe is superior. After watching your videos and seeing for myself, there is plenty of shoddy work over there as well. Love the videos.
Hi PB. Loving the channel. Been in the motor industry for 30 years and using torque wrenches has always been common practice. However to meet standards they must be calibrated once a year with a certificate just wondered if this is also the case in your industry.
Nice one. Enjoying your vids. I see you’ve gone from a Trafic van to a Transporter, I’ve got a Trafic. I test drove a VW very nice apart from I found the cab claustrophobic compared to the Renault. Head close to roof screen nearer. How are you finding it?
No One thanks mate very kind 👍🏽 I have a ProFlush for powerflushing and a magnacleanse when a powerflush isn’t required As always tho it’s all down to what the customer is prepared to pay for ✌🏽
Savage video man really good...just wonderi.g did you have to do sn electrical course because in ireland pkumbers just wont touch any kind of wiring ...they wont even do an immersion so the home owner has to get an elec and a plumber ...
mark dunne no mate I just learnt thru experience and calling my electrician every time I got stuck 😂 I don’t know if anyone else’s feels this way but the electrical side of our job is always fun for me, I love doing it
imranmajid1978 yes it will work as an on/off control but won’t work on the OpenTherm for optimisation or automation so wouldn’t comply with Boiler plus if it was a new install Hope that makes sense
@@PBPlumber Tool envy PB. I watch you vlogs and find myself buying tools I don't even need, O well. Most new installations work well as long as you commission them according to man specs. It's nice to see what other heating engineers are using out there. Makes jobs a little easier, right. Keep up the smashing work. 👍
It’s not rocket science - torque wrenches do need calibrating periodically and even the they are +/- 5% and more inaccurate at the extremes of their scale.
You're in to the swing of these videos now PB, keep them coming 👍🏻👍🏻

Pete you could've given me a piggyback to work too. I'd have sat on the boiler box 😉

P B Plumber yea here in ireland they cant touch wiriing against reci. Rules
I have a valiant combi boiler; will the nest not work with it? I think it still does a basic on/off for heating?
imranmajid1978 yes it will work as an on/off control but won’t work on the OpenTherm for optimisation or automation so wouldn’t comply with Boiler plus if it was a new install
Hope that makes sense
You said hope this helps to show you how to fit a nest thermostat. But I didn't actually see you fit it you just spoke about it
PB where did you get the crimping set from?
The33JAYJAY just off eBay mate search for Ferrule Crimper
P B Plumber ok cheers mate 👍
Boiler cupboards are always full of stuff, gas meters under stairs are worse again. God knows what they'll do in an emergency.
Loves the content of your videos keep up the good work very informative 👍💧💦🔥regards Mike
So typical!!! 7 sparkys didnt like your video lol
Well Mr PB i love the plumbing videos you do, so keeo them rolling ;)
They’re not all sparks who don’t like my videos, I have a weird stalker who’s a plumber that downvotes all my stuff, he’s a strange little guy

Thumbs up 30 seconds in lol. I will watch the rest
unless of course the torque wrench is foo-barred
you mentioned that with a torque wrench that you can avoid overtightening, also important, you can avoid under tightening
