Sir, back up is depends on condition of battery. Result of Increasing voltage is quick charging...

Undercharging can lead to sulfation, which may reduce the efficiency and capacity of the battery. So it is always important to provide the recommended voltage for charging.

It is found that battery with charge between 27 to 27.5 is getting good backup as well as long life.
