I am an Electrical Engineer and my first time in designing MV and LV Switchgears. This video is very "helpful" in order to have an overview on my future designs. My first assignment will be installing new VCB, and then 1MVA Dry Type Transformer, that will drop the voltage to 480V and will install new Switchgear Panels, and MCC Panels to supply Large Fire Protection Pumps for the new Shelters for the Plant. Thankful for your insights.
great video, i work for a company that makes LV panels. The only ting i have to add here ist that the biggest ABB breaker that one could buy is 6500A wich is a 100-150 KA E6.2 air circuit breaker. In most cases the panel would never pull more than 6000A.
Thanks for this video. I have a question about adding more feeders to switchgear. If you have no more space for feeders and need to add a generator or a PV supply to a board, how can you go about doing this practically?
Great information, my experience is mainly electrical distribution . Our pad mount switchgear for 12,470/7,200 are not as conplex as medíum to low voltage switchgear for industrial or commercial.
Sir electrical engineering students some of us don't know the truh abt EEE, so can u please give people how to be trained to become electrical engineer it would be a eye opening
Please make a video regarding voltage range... Somewhere it is written LV=upto 1000v MV- upto 33kv HV- upto 230 kv EHV-upto 800kv Somewhere it is written LV=upto 250v MV- upto 650v HV- upto 33 kv EHV-above 33kv Which one is correct?
You are indeed a blessing for the entire electrical students fraternity 🎉
Thank you 😊

Yes. Some manufacturers do have upto 7000Amps
I am from IIT Roorkee and m following your video series for my technical Interview ..

You have given a better understanding of low voltage
Great presentation and it’s Helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Clearly explain about lv switch gear-thanku sir
Always welcome
Fairly clear presentation. Thanks.
Any chance you could do a video explaining how a Peterson coil works?
Will try 🤘🏻

Of course it will helpful
Please make a video regarding voltage range...
Somewhere it is written
LV=upto 1000v
MV- upto 33kv
HV- upto 230 kv
EHV-upto 800kv
Somewhere it is written
LV=upto 250v
MV- upto 650v
HV- upto 33 kv
EHV-above 33kv
Which one is correct?
As per IEC, less than 1000 v is LV. 1000V to 52kV is MV. 52kV to 245kV is HV. 245kV to 800kV is EHV. And above 800kV is Ultra high voltage
Why current is more in LV as compared to HV as you said its up to 7000 amp..?
love it .
