Now that truck can breath! I have a K&N on my Gen2 Raptor. I got it from a friend for a great price. You are spot on. Intakes are great for sound but probably don't add a ton of power on their own. Great video!
Of all the vehicles I've owned over the years and installed CAI's and SRI's, only on one of my vehicles was there a noticeable power gain without any other mods and that was my 2004 Lincoln Navigator with the 4v 5.4.
@@badm0t0rf1ng3r The stock air intake on my Navigator was ridiculously restrictive and small, it didn't makes sense because the intake runners are very wide on the 4 valve 5.4 as are the heads. Obviously to maximize flow, yet they were choking it on the front end with the stock air intake.
Bend the tabs on box side up just a little bit then put them under the retainer lip then threat them into the top housing piece. The other option is to tack weld a tiny lip onto the mounting pieces. Ive just bended it so far.. it does slip off a little bit but its not too bad. Probably the only real design flaw to this intake.

I think the only time you'll see negative gains is with a short ram intake. Since it ends up pulling in hotter air into the engine
What did you do to get yours to not move?
