with 50' of amsteel being $15 why go cheap on the aider. you can get a black diamond aider for $25. why be cheap with safety. also why not try the lone wolf hand climber method with rappelling down. i would also attach some 550 paracord to the platform so if you drop it your not stuck in the tree with a short tether
Hunter, I give you TONS of credit for all your DIY engineering! I’m curious about your saddle. Is there a video on that? Finally, I hope its all safe equipment and you’re not taking unnecessary risks. Hunt on Hunter!!!
Saw in another video instead of sitting down to set the platform or stick in a higher position he has a aider which moves up down via prussic knot so he can stand up and that allows for a little bit more height
I'm a big DIY guy and use a fleece saddle like you are doing but, why are you not wearing some type of safety harness? I saw your other video and you had a regular safety harness on.
That is way to much work an energy doing like that. By the time he gets up there il be already there shooting my deer. No thanks
You could move your tether up as you're standing up on the platform. That way you dont have that much slack if you fell.
With 4 Mini sticks strapped to your backpack it’s about 4-6 pounds Cmon man and a one step aider can get plenty high in a tree
NO WAY!!!!!!!....I would trust my full body weight to a single grip buckle on that platform.

Absolutely agree with adding the paracord to the platform just as additional insurance.
I actually thought about doing something like this, but couldn't find anyone else who has tried it... Till now
How are you getting down?? The new thing is rapel.
Loved it. I plan to use the top part of my Lone Wolf climber as my platform. No unstrapping👍
What saddle is that?
How do you get down

You're worried about that burlap bag saddle? I was thinking the same, LOL.
Looks great thanks for the info
No thanks, incredibly clunky
Are you going to want all that aider swinging in the breeze when you are hunting?
