What Chloe did in this episode was stage a coup. No one actually sees her as the mayor of Paris, but since she has the police bots, which would've subdued Ladybug and Cat Noir if it weren't for his Cataclysm, people are forced to obey her.
Chloe was supposed to be Expelled from School with Lila

yay! i love the new office! and yes, this episode and the next few are pretty ridiculous, but we just gotta stick with it! also Miss Bustier’s name is ‘Caline’
Ms. Bustier's first name is "Caline" (the second syllable is like in "machine").
In French, her name is spoken with a total open "a". The English dub says the names of the character as if they were English/American. For example, the "é" in Chloé is pronounced like in "bed". And the "A" in Adrien is also wide open. And Nathalie's name is pronounced not with a "th" sound, but just a "t" sound.
@@rafaelmatos5851 The "é" in Chloé would be more like that in "bed" if the diacritical mark were accent grave (è) or circumflex (ê), but as it is accent aigu, its closet English parallel is "long A" without the diphthong quality, which isn't really used in English, and is only crudely approximated by "bed". Merriam Webster years ago used to liken it to the "a' in "chaotic", which they called "half-long A".
The "th" in "Nathalie" is pretty well understood to be just a "t", just like the "th" in "Thomas".

I don't know how I feel about Andre, but I'm glad that he's doing the right thing.
This episode was cool, but dumb at the same time. Chloe performed a coup, she should be arrested for doing this even in a show like this, but no. This show can have realistic themes, but it also has some very silly and utterly incorrect circumstances.. The good themes in this episode was the Miss Bustier character development and the revelation of her partne Gisele, also Lila's lair revelation and the fact that she somehow has many disguises, and also Andre's talk with Gabriel which was great. But the rest was pretty meh..
By the way, episode 26 isn't the last episode.. it is the last episode in the miraculous timeline so far.. but there is actually one more extra episode after episode 26.. called Action.. it's episode 27.. it's supposed to take place between episodes 21 and 22 of the season.. it's basically a plastic pollution special.. and then after that.. you have the Miraculous World Paris special that came out 2 months ago..

Miraculous is more symbolic than it is realistic. Positions that are usually held by a group of people are represented by one person: Andre represents the people of power, Roger represents the police force, Bob Roth represents the entertainment industry, etc. Chloe's character is all about power, prestige and privilege so it makes sense for the next step for her character to be to become the temporary mayor. Her one last hoorah before she's brought down for good. Even then, it isn't completely unrealistic because she had the police bots on her side, which were competent enough to send Ladybug and Cat Noir running.

I know that Chloe is bad, but Cerise/Lila is really the one pulling the strings here. She doesn't care about Chloe or anyone.
It's easy to see why. Chloé is a narcissistic sociopath, so she thinks she is above the rules and that she is special and entitled of every bit of adoration from everyone. That means she is totally easy to manipulate by someone like Lila who is a clear psychopath. Like all psychopaths, she uses the rules of society to her advantage and is highly capable of manipulating others and control her own emotions. I mean, she was able to trick Monarch into akumatize her by focusing her anger towards Marinette and keep hers for him hidden.

How wonderful to see you in your new "Luna-TK-ave!" It looks fantastic; your labours (and those of your amazing husband) have been well rewarded, and it will surely lead to good fruit in the form of content for your channel and a studio for your photography clients.
This episode could be summarised using that immortal literary phrase: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Seeing Marinette and Adrien as a couple, albeit retaining some of the 'cluelessness' that the fans have found annoying over the seasons - as voiced here by Rose! - represents the best of times, while the bombshell dropped by Gabriel that he's sending Adrien away to boarding school in London, his evilising of a pregnant woman, the ongoing manipulations of That Liar, and the utterly ridiculous coup d'état, all point to rising darkness.
The season marks the closing of the Agreste arc, and in these last episodes there is a definite sense of a count-down to something that will shake everyone to the core. That's obviously coming in the finale, meaning that these are transitional episodes building up to it. So, there's something to be said for not having much to say at the end of it... you'll have more to say when the full context of the season can be viewed, after the finale!
