Nice to see Marinette and Adrien finally kiss, but both are completely heartbroken.
Revolution the ending literally almost made me cry every single time I rewatch the airport kiss I almost cry cause it’s so good it’s literally in my opinion one of the best if not the best moment from season 5 and one of the best moments from the series in my opinion it’s so good and it never gets old everytime I watch it also your reaction to the kiss scene absolutely perfect great reaction ❤

Another transitional show, but this one does indeed have a lot more to it - as did your reaction, my good friend! Those 'Luna-isms' never fail to raise a smile at this end.
"Revolution" reminds us that Miraculous is a French show, by nodding to the French Revolution in which the people of that country fought to abolish monarchy and establish liberal democracy. Here, the people of Paris, faced with the sight of their heroes rendered powerless, rise up to overthrow Chloe, who never really intended them to have an election. This delivers a potent real-life message to its audience, many of whom started on this show in their childhoods and are now reaching the age of maturity and becoming eligible to partake of adult things, including the right to vote: you have the power to change things, but you won't achieve it unless you get out and do something, whether it's putting your mark on a ballot paper or fighting against oppression. And you won't succeed by being an island; meaningful change requires a majority of people to feel the same way as you do, and as part of that majority you can get things done.
There's a further subtle hint that we can all be politicians if we choose it. Caline Bustier standing in for the incapacitated Ladybug by releasing the akuma (even down to uttering the line "No more evil doing for you!") and then being encouraged to run for Mayor by her students, despite only being a teacher, shows us that we're all capable of doing more than we aspire to do, of working on things other than we've trained to do, and of standing for election despite having no political experience or expertise. There's an argument that politicians used to be better in the days when they had had real jobs first before standing for election, whereas nowadays too many people go into politics with nothing more than a degree in the subject under their belts. Maybe the creators are saying "We could do with more representatives / governors who've had backgrounds in public service, like teachers...."
On the topic of 'coming of age,' this is the episode in which the protagonists grow up in more ways than one. As Ladybug and Cat Noir, they harness the ability to regenerate without de-transforming. (This is clearly going to be important for the season finale and beyond!) We've previously been led to believe that it's a simple matter of adult Miraculous owners being stronger and not needing to regenerate, but now it seems as if the creators are suggesting that it's not just strength but free will that plays a part - adults and children alike have free will, but an adult knows how to exercise it properly and constructively, as Cat Noir shows by using his new-found repeat Cataclysms on the robots.
As Marinette and Adrien, their burgeoning love for each other reaches a point where it can push through hardship such as enforced separation - which, incidentally, gives them the impetus to seal their relationship with that long-awaited kiss, in a scene that feels like it belongs in a major motion picture. They're pulling out all the stops this season!
There's a growing-up for Chloe too, but in her case the experience is a harsh awakening to the reality that having spent her childhood antagonising people, she has alienated everyone and will have nobody to count as a friend as she goes into adulthood. Have we seen the last of her, weeping in her miserable solitude? I doubt it, though for now the focus is transferring squarely onto Lila / Cerise / The Liar as she proceeds with her diabolical secret plans.
This whole thing of Chloe becoming mayor was utterly ridiculous. Its so nice to see everyone fighting back. Also, Ladybug and Catnoir can resist detransforming now!!!
This kiss scene made everybody cry. I don't know anybody that didn't cry😢

I really really liked this episode, yes the mini storyline of Chloe being a Mayor was.. utterly ridiculous, it was actually quite nonsensical. However I'm glad we got to see The Resistance stand against Chloe to buy some time for Ladybug and Cat Noir to retransform.. The Adrienette Kiss was phenomenal and it was the first real one and this time it will be remembered, and therefore that is what makes that scene rather memorable. I mean, we have of course seen them kiss before.. But this time it stays.. and I am so happy, because now things can actually move forward. It was cool to see the heroic duo grow up in this episode, and they managed to fight back against their detransformation, which was indeed very cool to see.

In a way, this ending with the airplane might've been inspired by sailor moon when Darien was on a flight to Germany and they kissed before he got on✨ cool reference

technically Chloe's actions in episode 22 and halfway through this episode are not her fault, it's actually Lila's/Ceries'

If Chloe dares to return, it won't turn out well for her. Chloe herself made sure that everyone in Paris despises her, if she comes back she will only get them to look down on her and treat her like the trash she is.
