@@ezbgames I hope so! The miniatures are really impressive, they're much more robust than I expected. But in the end the gameplay is key. Hopefully tomorrow i'll lay it out for a bit of testing! :)
From the first youtube page this is the most useful one i found. Thank you very much! I have a question: from where do you draw cards? Theere is a personal discard pile that transform into draw deck? Also when heroes reach a certain level, I see they search the Ability deck and choose one card.
Thank you so much for this comment.. I appreciate it! Regarding your questions: 1) Yes, at the beginning of the game you create a deck (called Might and Magic cards) and you draw cards from there. Then, when you don't have any more cards to draw, you reshuffle your discard pile to draw new cards. 2) on levels 2, 3, 5 and 7 the heroes will do search(2) in the ability deck. That means drawing two cards, choose one to go to their hands and discard the other one -OR- take the top most card from the ability duscard pile. On levels 4 and 6, they just add their specialty card to their hand. I hope that clear things a bit and please feel free to ask more questions 😊
@@СтоянкаИванова-з3м good morning! Checking the rulebook, I can't seem to find where does it say that speciality cards go to your discard pile. In the Astrologers Answer booklet, on page 3, it states "Every card you gain is put into your hand". Can you please direct me to the page in the rulebook where you found this rule? Thank you 😊
@ezbgames Good day to you too! It is a little vague, but in the core rulebook it is written on page 11: "Hero Specialty - Shows the type of Specialty card the Hero adds to their deck at the start of the game and after they level-up." Also in the Astrologers Answer book on page 4 under HEROES section: "...you need to find 3 Specialty cards related to your Hero and add 1 of them (the one marked with "I") to your deck. The remaining two cards are added to your deck when your Hero gains levels "IV" or "VI"." So the Specialty cards of your Hero when reach their levels don't go to your hand or discard pile, they go to your deck.
Sheesh, somebody is pumping out content like others do stupid comments. 😜 I passed on this game's campaign. Just couldn't trust myself and the sense of nostalgia. Everything I have seen of it so far, leaves me somehow unimpressed and neutral. Even after this thorough and detailed (as usual) video. Very strange. Thanks for the detailed insights and explanations. The rulebook references are a fantastically clever little feature.
First of all, thank you very much ❤ The idea of adding the rulebook references came from Bryan the designer of Company of Heroes. The game is mostly giving you warm nostalgic feelings. The gameplay itself, like you said, is not SUPER great, but good enough for me and for staying in the collection..
The rules say : "New tiles must also be positioned so that there is a valid path that joins them with other tiles." So the placement of your starting tiles is impossible because there is no way to access them. Am i right?
So, there was quite the debate on that.. first of all, like you've said, it's about NEW tiles. But these are the tiles of the setup. Then, the tiles that you will add, will create the path. In anycase, the "inner tiles", those numbered IV-V will have a closed passage to other tiles just because they are inside. The same thing with the tile in the middle. So to be honest, I'm not entirely sure. But I definitely see your point. I hope you find the rest of the video helpful 😊
@@ezbgames Yes your vidéo is perfect, it was more a question than a comment. I'm in my first play session so i have some adjustment to do and i find that the rulebooks is not clear on some points... But good job! :)
att around 18 minuts, playing the leadership. you could then have used the 1 crown do also draw 2 cards from the bottom abilitiy of the card?. if so. that crown would not be available until your next turn "day" right? so if you go into combat on the next move you dont have a crown to use
Yes, definitely can use the crown to draw cards aswell. The crowns are available again every round, and not turn. It's a slight difference but an important one. Round is changing when all the players have finished their turn and then moving to the next income/astrologer round. Did that make sense? Thank you for commenting 😊
No disrespect to the game itself........but that cover art is awful. I literally laughed out loud first time I saw it. Looks like an avenging angel with an "I'm so sick of this sh*t" expression on his face.
I like you've added sound effects from the video game, it's immersive 👍
You're the first person to have said something about it.. THANK YOU!! I thought it would make some people smile 😊
Oh I didn't expect that! :D Thanks for the heartwarming words. Great playthrough video, I really enjoyed it! :)
It's me who should be thanking you my friend ❤
This is a fantastic video with very clear explanations and overview. its wonderful!
I'm so happy you like it!
Part 2 with the Battlefield expansion will be up this week..
So you finally got your copy! :) Mine came a week ago but i was traveling, just opened it yesterday but haven't had a chance to play yet.
You're going to enjoy a lot!! 🤩

Very clear run through as usual. It evokes similar feelings to the PC game.
Oh absolutely!

According to the rules the new specialty card goes into your (might and magic) deck not your hand.
@@СтоянкаИванова-з3м ah yes..? I thought it's like with the other cards when you level up.
My mistake. I will correct it tomorrow.

hi, this is a mistake 8:16
you have to attach the title to another title by two cells
Hello! Do you mean the way that the tiles are connected? That is the initial setup of that scenario..

Not sure 100% about the gameplay, but art and style- I agree for sure!!

Yes cannot have yellow tiles block path, but you "can" allow it if players choose to, as many campaigns allow this sometimes.
Noted 😊 thank you!
What happens if a path has to be blocked due to the layout of the tiles..?
