    You would have to be a brave soul to fly that! With such a massive wing you would think it could stay up for ever, I wondered how the tail section stayed in place until I saw the wire bracing, a very interesting glider, the pilot is really in an exposed position, many thanks for posting this one Steve! Chris B.

      It's like strapping a wooden chair to a cricket bat and adding wings. To think that cadets would be told to sit on one and let loose for their first flight and solo is very humbling. It wouldn't happen today? Steve.

      @@HighFlight I know it is no different in a "modern" glider, you only have a glass fibre skin around you, but sitting on the piece of 4x2 at that height must test your nerve to the extreme, and they sent students up in this! I would put most off flying for life.
