Noah, I consider you as a newbie in tech space.. But I must admit, your reviews are more mature than most of techtubers out there like Max Tech or even EverythingApplePro. I believe people coming for this comparison are looking for a fair, experienced comment on both system and you certainly deliver! You talk like a real person who use the real product and examine both product quite thoroughly!
Noah, it needs mentioning that there are dozens of pens that can be used with a Galaxy Tab S6, whereas only one will work with the IPad Pro. If you tire of the shape of the S-pen that comes with it, you can reach for a Norris-Stadtler pencil s-pen, or even the original Surface pen, or one of dozens of Wacom compatible pens. Also Wacom, the leaders in digital pen technology, make many pens which will work with an S6. Secondly, you ignored the presence of a small thing called Air Command which has many features that a student would greatly benefit from. Eg. Smart select for clipping and annotating clippings, screen write, translate for translating words or whole paragraphs, glance for checking web pages and having them reduced to a dot and parked off to one side for referencing. Notes up to 100 pages long can be taken WITHOUT turning on the tablet with screen-off memo. Then these notes can be pinned to the start screen for referencing at a later date. In your multi-tasking section, you did not mention that any number of added floating windows can be parked in the corner of the screen as a small dot and opened out with a single tap of the S-pen as needed, then reduced again. The page in Samsung Notes can be opened on top of an existing web page or such, and then reduced in opacity so that the web page or Pdf page or whatever can be seen THROUGH the Samsung Notes page. Excellent for both taking notes and tracing images etc. Although your comparison was pleasantly done and not excessively biased, it seemed you made it from a "Ilike the Galaxy Tab S6 a lot, but I really LOVE my iPad Pro" perspective. I think you should make sure you know both devices inside out before making a video such as this in order to be fair to your viewers, many of which may make a buying decision based on your comparison. I have both devices also, and both are magical in what they can do, and what they can add to one's experience. However, I have found that the Samsung device offers many more features that would benefit a student, and costs considerably less when the added cost of the Apple Pencil is taken into consideration, as well as equal storage. By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed your comparison of the two Notes apps. And I envy your handwriting skills in writing so fast and keeping it level and readable. It is obvious you enjoy writing. Thanks for your contribution.
Everything you said here is fair and I will definitely mention these things in my full review and full comparison :) THANK YOU for taking the time to pleasantly criticize me. It helps a lot.
Why this dude wrote a whole movie script trying to hype a product that no one buys??? Sorry sir android tablets don’t sell and even tho the s6 is the best one people don’t buy those things other than youtubers
Wow! This was the most decent comment that I have read in a long time. You've clearly spoken the truth. I wonder if you had a youtube channel it would help a lot of people, though for now your points were of great help to me.
PipeGeneral You don’t get it do you? You think productivity revolves around Apple products? Sorry buddy Apple products is not that productive just hype and branding.
Thanks guys saved me of writing a long comment and I could add on all what you said. You can change the tip of the pen with more rubbery and ruff texture for writing no need for screens or a smooth like a plastic on plastic feel. And the tips are provided as well in the box but no one knows this thing because it's not an apple product 😂
@@BlackPearl-bp I guess most Apple users don't know some things are nice having included with the tablet itself (s-pen + extra nibs + nib remover) cause they always had to buy the pen separately.
You're an Apple user who doesn't have enough experience with Galaxy tablets to take advantage of them. It's a good quality video, but you don't do GT6 any justice.. it's not an Ipad, don't evaluate it as one.
It's definitely not an iPad but both are tablets and a consumer will choose the better tablet in which case iPad is better and I use an iPad with my Android phone. So no judgement.
2:35 You can change the size (height) of the keyboard on any Samsung device. You can also switch off the navigation bar at the bottom and simply use gestures.
@Julien Lindauer They are completely different gestures. On iOS you have to work with the bar at the bottom and there's no way of getting rid of it. On Samsung (Android?) you can swipe from the bottom left - middle ‐ right up to replicate the work of the navigation buttons when they are switched off. Android 10 has added some additional gestures, but I see no point in them as I like what Samsung have come up with.
@@Oztinfrog If I'm not mistaken S Note is an obsolete app and is no longer supported. I liked the way you could change backgrounds on it and add charts, graphs etc... Samsung Notes is just a dumbed down version of it. It's meant for notes only... and drawing to some extent
Dude, you really need to spend time with a product before reviewing it. First, you can store the s pen on the side of the tablet. The back groove is for storing or wireless charging. Second, you can have smooth writing experience by changing out the pen tip from the black one to the white one. Third, pen comfort in the hand is 100% subjective. Pen shape is not a feature. Fourth, you ,missed so many points about note taking that I can't even list them. Fifth, you didn't even touch on such vastly different price points... I get that you love Apple. It's a wonderful product, but when you're reviewing, you need to give both products a fair shot. The iPad Pro is a great device and may win for media creation work... the tab s6 is a great device and may win for note taking and student related tools (if given an unbiased review). I handwrote this comment, then l let my tab s6 convert it to text to past it here since I'm on the couch and don't have my keyboard attached. It was quick and simple... just sayn...
Not at all. I think Apple products are great. They're premium, high quality, work great with little learning curve, and they're wonderful for media and music production. I'm a huge fan of IOS software as well. I just prefer unbiased reviews.
@Lightning Ray really, screen size, aspect ratio, and did you just say you dont know anybody that uses a 60hz refresh rate screen anymore?...almost all the things you listed aside the software support are preferences and dont really make the ipad any better than the tab s6...I would choose an amoled screen over any type of LCD display whether its 60hz or 1000hz...I prefer the 16:10 ratio on a tablet since for me a tablet is a consumption device ,and with a pen, note taking too. And with processor strength, yeah the A12 whatever is stronger than the sd 855 but seriouly both have the power to handle almost app or game flawlessly.i think we are at a point in tech where processor strength doesn't matter anymore because any chip coming out nowadays have enough power to run almost any app out there. My tab s4 from almost two years can run any app seamlessly and I imagine the tab s6 would even do better. And another preference is that I would choose oneui over the apple's interface any day.
Three things you didn't mention that I think gives the tab s6 a huge advantage especially for students or just general usability. 1) you can search your tablet for a word or phrase and it will search your hand written notes in Samsung Notes and return notes that include that word or phrase. This is great for searching your hand written notes for something you wrote down in class especially if you have a lot of notes. 2) you can convert your hand written notes to text and export it to email or word or whatever. this is great for sharing class notes or homework and not have to worry someone trying to read your chicken scratch. 3) the Air Command which offers Smart select for clipping, screen write, translate for translating words or whole paragraphs, glance and Screen off memo to name a few. Its disappointing you didn't include these two features that are huge for students.
It shows that you know almost nothing about Android or Samsung since the keyboard on Android is fully configurable to your liking, you can make it smaller or floating just like on the iPad, which in fact was a function that Apple copied to Samsung.
the title says ultimate school comparison but it was more like a general comparison. you should have covered more school scenarios to bring out the differences like copying and pasting info from different sources , app availability etc. there was less info. in the video considering it was a 12min comparison.
I wish I could have too but I only have so much time ;-; I covered what I thought was most important. But I can totally see how those things would be relevant as well.
Notion.so is great for note taking and page linking like a books chapters. They do Andriod, iOS & desktop apps and they all sync. For personal use it's free.
Hi! I’m currently deciding on my first tablet and this video has been very helpful. I understand where viewers are coming from when they say you seem biased, but I also understand that you’re doing your best as an experienced iPad/Apple user. It’s awesome that you cared to do a video on the Tab at all! Because of this, your post has ultimately served as a platform for others to come out and share their own thoughts on/experiences with the Tab/Android devices. Basically, thanks!
Good video and fair points there. But like a lot of others here it does appear that you are unintentionally selling the Tab S6 very short. You are comparing two tablets to see which one gives you the best ipad experience it seems. For example. You didn't mention that you can convert the handwriting to text and import it via pdf or doc or others. Which means that you can print it out when you need to study if the need arises or if you need to share notes with others which you can do via email, print out or via flow or bluetooth. Then there are the screen write and smart select features both of which basically make it so you can pull text from any document or any website on earth and convert it onto your own text file, or even print that out. or have copies of web pages in your gallery to reference, print out, or convert to PDF and print out. and while you mention the note taking and like I said you have some fair critiques. You probably didn't realize that you can take notes on the screen while you are watching a video or viewing a document and change the opacity so you can see through the notes and still be able to watch the video or read the document. What this means is that it is not just great for lecture notes, it is also great for research notes in the sense that you do not need more than the tab in order to do it. You also don't mention that in that file manager you also have access to documents on onedrive and google drive as well, or the fact that you can share things from inside that manager without having to go into a specific app. Sure the shape of the s-pen is meh, but the features it gives you are god level for students. Not even getting into the translator function for language learning students. Not to mention how obviously helpful the note taking capabilities are when you have a textbook on the kindle app so you can do your reading and take your notes on the same device, and even pull out parts of the readings you want to look into later or send to your professor, or share with classmates or just keep seperate for your own reference.. Sure, the shape of the S pen is a little strange I'll give you that. But to say that the ipad offers the better note taking experience especially for a student while not taking all of these additional and useful features into account feels kind of hollow.
I don’t know about this, most of it felt like ‘it’s better coz I’m more used to it’ kinda thing going on here. And covering more school based scenarios would’ve been better, 70% of is it just the stylus review. But still good comparison, but could’ve been a bit more.
You’re not totally wrong here. But the stylus part is incredibly important in my opinion and I based this comparison off of my needs. I also objectively think the Pro is a better devic in certain aspects (that are vital to me) and vice versa. I’ll be sure to make up for any lost ground in the full comparison! :)
Noah Herman It’s still a good comparison as I mentioned. I just thought you could’ve done a bit more on the other aspects too, dex did not get much of a mention (which is one of the most important feature that turn the Tab S6 into a productivity device, something unavailable in the pro now). And the other thing I mentioned is that sometimes it feels a bit too obvious that the pro is your primary device and you used to quite a lot and tab S6 is just in for a review. That ‘familiarity advantage’ I guess can be felt a bit. I’m hoping that my words only impact you in a positive way as that is my intention here. Looking forward for your works in the future.
@@NoahHerman there's two types of nibs for s pen if I'm not wrong. The one you're using (black tip) is better for drawing. You should check out the nibs for s pen that came with your device. The white nib is supposed to work better for writing and is smoother..
Although it isn't well know I think it is an important fact that you can actually attach the s-pen to the side of the tab s6 similarily to the ipad pro, although it won't charge it is a useful way of keeping it secure.
So Noah, I was a college student in the 1960’s waaaay before personal digital devices. We used pens and paper, and or portable tape recorders for note taking in class! Would have loved using a iPad Pro! 😞
Many of my college professors still won't allow any digital devices, not even laptops. It was really disheartening to go to class and have all these old teachers not able to catch up with where we are in society.
There's a lot of us that still use a pen and notebook. However, will be switching soon because I have so much paper and notebooks in backpack that it gets heavy.
Bruce Greenberg, I wonder if the iPad Pro is actually better. I mean, in some ways it's going to be better because if you take digital notes, at least on a Samsung tablet you can search your own handwriting and it will read and recognize and return results. You can't do that with pen and paper. But, writing on pen and paper is still better than on a glass screen. Writing on a glass screen is somewhat distracting because you have to be paying more attention to that than you do on paper. If you're not looking at the tablet, you might look down and find that it's turned itself off, or some other app has launched and you're not writing anything, or any kind of whatever is going on on the tablet. Not with paper though. If I were to to it again today, I think I'd still go with pen and paper. It would just allow me to keep my focus on the lecture and not have to think at all about my writing notes. I would probably use the tablet, or phone though to record audio.
I have an iPad Pro for drawing and painting. But for light productivity, any Android tablet is better and Samsung tablets are the best of them all. Some things like file management are many times better than on iOS devices. This video really just blew past that, but that is a real misinformation to not detail the major differences in what Android can do vs iOS. The samsung tablet is the closest you can get to a laptop, without buying a laptop. The ancient Note Pro 12 was their very best effort. After that, Samsung scaled back on features and functionality but any Android tablet is still going to be better for general work than an iPad Pro.
This is clearly a reviewer (?) from the Apple side of the universe, comparing Samsung offerings from a 'does it stack up' perspective rather than spending the time to really understand everything it does. /Pass
@@noonenooo2843 there is two types of nibs for s pen.. the black tip, the one he has on his s pen, is designed for drawing. Which is why he felt a little drag when write with it. Artist finds it better using that tip for drawing. There's another nib specifically for writing, a white tip, which he forgot to mention in his video. White nib is smoother and has no drag which has the same experience or even better than Apple pencil based on other reviewers..
Tab S6 is great and should be Industry Standard for other Manufacturers to try and re-enter back into the Tablet market. We really need more Tablets back honestly.
We need to bring back Android OS to tablets. Idk why manufactures never fully committed to the tablet market with android. I would want the hardware from the iPad honestly with androids freely usable/interoperable ecosystem.
What I want is an Android Tab that will last a long time, with horse power to run apps with real power, more efficient apps that I can utilize without it draining the battery like a hog. All this can be achieved with a windows laptop but fails to be efficient enough to warrant the purchase sometimes. A Macbook Pro excels in software but fails in hardware and price. A good Android Tab that has the same power or more of the new iPad Pro and with the same efficiency would be nice. Along with the added portability would be great.
@@doublezeta4s You can't get an efficient android device. Android is awesome, it's just extremely inefficient. Even if you'd have the power of the iPad Pro in an android tablet, you wouldn't be able to utilize it as much
Shows how much the iPad needed the iOS update to compete with the Tab S6. But, looking at your demo, I think the iPad screen size looks just that little more natural to use. Not a bad comparison. I dare you to switch to OneNote for notetaking and use the Tab S6 fully for a few days. ;)
the comment section gave me more info on the tab s6 than the actual video. i agree with the ones that say he clearly is biased as he isn’t familiar with the tab s6. love the video tho! helped a lor
i hope im not mistaking. but i think one can mirror the desktop of the tabs6 to an external monitor, thats not much gain. and one can use dex from the tabs6 to the exzernal monitor, thats again a half baked samsung solution. samsung needs to do software updates on dex. i tested all those things on a note9, but as far as i saw tabs6 has no additional features.
Talking about the placement of the stylus, you can also stick the S Pen to the side of the tablet...That is not intended to use like that but we *can* use like that
The only way I have found to `snap` screens in DEX is hitting the looking glass button and the right or left arrow at the same time, but this requires the keyboard.
While I love my Ipad for how effortless the games run, I still end up using tab s6 more often The main reason actually being the smaller details like better file management, availability of 3rd part apps etc That said if you're the type to work extensibly on your tablet and the apps you require are available on ios then Ipad is the better choice as the apps are just much more finetuned and will run smoother as well thanks to its superior specs (almost double the s6) On the other hand if your usage is more towards entertainment esp. if you like to mess around with things like emulation and stuff, then tab s6 is a much better choice overall. Although the Ipad is more powerful, tab s6 has enough power to run everything without an issue The slight lags at the highest settings in a few demanding apps is honestly just nitpicking So at the end of the day it'll boil down to which OS you prefer more Andoid or Ios?
@@MangoPickleGaming Actually you can, just download Parrellel Space, there has been a hack to run multiple instances of a single app for years. Its Android, if you thought it, most likely a hack for it all ready exists.
My tab experience for college related work has been awesome. I had the tab 3 10.1 that was the cheap version back in 2015 and my only complain was the lack of ram for the more heavy apps. But for the miscellaneous task like writing and reading presentation was more than enough. I will be upgrading this christmas to that beautiful s6. The overall features and the fact that I can still have extra storage on the device makes it perfect.
Ricardo Bohórquez I don’t think he hates it, but it is quite obvious to any objective individual that he leans hard toward Apple devices and probably didn’t take the time to immerse himself in the s6, and favors the Apple ecosystem over android. I realized this within the first minute, but watched on just for any info he had on either that I would be able to learn from.
Quick tips: 1)the pen of the tab s6 also sticks to the side just like apple pencil. But only to rest it there, if you wanna charge it you have to put it to the rear. 2)The samsung keyboard size can change and also turning off the navigation bar will help gain more space. 3)You can change the tip of the samsung pen, they are included in the box. Nice vid again :)
so... Hey Noah. Can you believe it: I specifically searched for S6 vs iPad Pro. The usual suspects have done these comparisons - but I automatically clicked on your video first :-) Well done.
The S pen can be placed on the side of the tab S6. Tech reviewers still don't know this. It won't charge but you don't need to charge it if you don't use the bluetooth features of the S pen.
Thx for the side-by-side comparison. I decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy S6 with my own accessories. With the extra included the tablet is half the price of the iPad Pro. That's good enough for me :D
The best note taking app is OneNote because it has universal platform and it’s cloud stored so you never have to worry about saving your notes, it’s just saves automatically. You can open your notes on Mac/Windows/iPhone/Android with just logging to your account. Nobody can beat that.
Couple of questions, Noah... Since you've been using this for lots of school work, do you ever have issues with needing to access/create word or power point documents on your ipad pro? Also, do you ever wish that you had the 12.9 ipad pro, or do you feel like it's size would make it less convenient and handy? Thanks for you input, man!
I have both the 12.9" iPad Pro 2019 and Tab S6 10". The iPad Pro, I definitely prefer the larger size as many of the apps need that extra space. Especially the graphical and music creation apps. Only issue I have is that the iPad 12.9" is flimsy as all hell, the potential of bending it is high. Aluminium is one of the cheapest materials you can use in a computer, even cheaper than some polycarbonate used, its why Apple uses it, cheap and it looks good. Microsoft and Lenovo do it right by using magnesium or carbon fiber.
Incase if you guys didn't know, you can put the SPen on the side just like the iPad Pro just that if you want to charge it's battery for bluetooth functionality, you will need to put it behind
The keyboard CAN be RESIZED on tab S6 if you want more screen space... Also, if you change to gesture mode for the navigation bar at the bottom, you get more space as well. For the Spen, you CAN stick it either behind OR on top like the apple pencil but you can only charge at the back. I find most reviewers don't know about this spen can stick on the top feature and I wonder if they even play around with their device before they do a review.
Ikr. You can literally download a good always on display app for like $1 and on iOS you can't get one at all. 😂. And to the people that will say "But what about those apps on iOS like Myla and OledX? They're always on display apps." Really you have to manually go in to the app instead of it just working like a real Always On Display.
Bro you left out half the good stuff about the s pen. It doesn't need charging, it sticks to the tablet like iPad, comes with the tab, has air commands, pressure sensitivity. Seems like you purposely want viewers to think ipad is better
Plus to me, if your going to compare tablets, then compare them in the following ways: 1. S7/iPad Air 2. S7+/iPad Pro 3. S6/iPad Air Also, complaining that the S6/S7 screen size is smaller than the iPad Pro is ignorant when you could have compared the S7+ which has a more similar screen size. I personally view the S7 as the iPad air of Samsung and the S7+ as the iPad Pro of Samsung.
Samsung note app has the important function that handwriting converts text, which is good for copying to word processor or something. And,also spen comes with the tablet
barritoo thy Like when you put the tip on the screen of the Tab it’ll be easier to move it across the screen. Although I prefer the Apple Pencil in my opinion
wow thank you for that comment. I just grabbed my old tab s6 package and found the 2 bonus Pen tips.. somehow I completely oversaw those when I first unpacked the tablet. The white tip is waaay better imo :)
The squid apps is quite powerful and easy to use, it can open pdf file into its own format so that you can write on it without destroying the pdf file... you can also set to erase by using your touch, so you can focus writing using the pen and erase using your finger..
Can you answer me about note on tab s6 size . One row can write how many words . Is s pen write like paper notebook . Is it easy to look like in paper notebook. I think the width of s6 is short . I want to buy tablet to note and read . Thank you.
Genuine qn: Do you have to lift your hand when writing for both tablets? On paper, I’ll just rest my palm and write my notes. Which brings me to my second point, is there palm rejection for both tablets? I’m also a left handed and I’m not sure if resting my hand on the tablet, as I write , would receive it as an input and generate “unwanted/random lines” because the tablet assumes your palm is a stylus for some reason. Really wanna get a tablet to mostly write notes on but I’m not sure which of the two tablets would give a satisfying user experience. Any advice would be much appreciated! :)
Tony Nguyen So basically even if the iPad was better and/or the Tab S was bad, it doesnt matter because you're biased towards the Tab S. Why even watch the video?
You're the only guy I know that takes notes with hand and arm completely elevated from the desk top. How do you maintain control of your writing, without fatigue, with your hand and arm elevated?
im trying to look for a tablet to draw, and honestly, it seems like the touch with pen in the tab s6 takes forever. Thanks for the video, it really helped a lot
I think to sum up the Tab S6, you could say its the "Jack of all trades, master of none" whereas the iPad Pro is certainly the master of just being a tablet.
Noah did you know that the spen will glide smooth just like the pencil if you just insert the white nib instead of the black one and you can also set it on the side of the tablet just like the iPad and it will stay (but not charge)? Oh and it's impossible to give your opinion and call it objective, even if you do say the word objective multiple times before during and after stating your subjective opinion. It's clear you like the iPad better but remember that on Android devices the most obvious or built in method is rarely the only way! It's just Apple that has trained you well to accept your limits and to not think differently, and then assume it's better based on the fact that you've paid double. Or in the case of the pencil, 100% more. Regardless, great video bro!
Zaid Shah Never know if I might change over to a different one, plus just love to watch Noah, never know when I might find a trick or new way to use my iPad Pro
You're right my bad! Both at the current moment are similarly priced HOWEVER the iPad is gonna be a more expensive package as you have to buy the Apple pencil separately ;-;
If you hold the S pen like that your hand will cramp however it is proven that a triangular shape with the correct position of your fingers is more healthy than a round/circular one (sorry I'm not a native speaker I don't know how you say that, the shape of the apple pen). the tip of your pointing and middle fingers should rest on two of the flat sides and your thumb should be on the bottom flat side, this way you are basically just opposing your thumb and you don't create unnecessary tension between your fingerbones. that what you have done when you tried to write with the s pen in a grip like that (it is extremely unhealthy for your joints especially for the wrist if you write like that for a longer time) and holding the pen correctly will also improve your handwriting. btw it's good to see a left-handed buddy ^^
Are there apps like good notes on iPad available on Samsung tab ? For beautiful, precise , aesthetic notes where we can add diagrams and pics and print them out ?
Hoenstly, the most advanced note taking app is Lecture Notes on Android. It has so many options, it might be too hard for an average user to configure just right for them, but nothing beats it. The whole presentation part with the s pen has been forgotten. If you do a powerpoint presentation, you can use it as a presenter. Most things show, that where they are equal, he is really trying to find something to make the iPad better somehow, which shows the bias in this video. The Wacom tech in the S pen is the most advanced digitizer tech of this planet.
Ipencil although its more smooth because it is made out of plastic, from what you have said. But just to reiterate on that, because it is made out of plastic, you can never use the pen if it is out of battery, but since Samsung's stylus is not made out of plastic, it can still be used without battery
It's honestly pointless to watch a review from someone who only really uses one of the two products, and has been using it for a longer time, how is it supposed to be a useful comparison for someone torn between the two?
Do both tabs have palm resistance.?So that we can write like a paper on it or we cannot touch the screen while writing. Does touching the screen while writing will interrupt the writing? Please reply.

Hey Noah, how old are u? I surprised that u r a college student 😱
Noah, I consider you as a newbie in tech space..
But I must admit, your reviews are more mature than most of techtubers out there like Max Tech or even EverythingApplePro.

Shikk hhi I thought so too. Sometimes elaborating *in detail* is necessary :)
PipeGeneral You don’t get it do you? You think productivity revolves around Apple products? Sorry buddy Apple products is not that productive just hype and branding.
If I'm not mistaken, Tab S6 has the option of sticking the pen on the side as well, like iPad. But of course, it won't charge there.
That is correct. The S Pen will magnetically attach (but not charge) to the top of the tablet when in landscape.
You don’t need to charge it unless you want the Bluetooth functions.

I was looking at how adept he is at using the IPad... I was wondering if anyone else was thinking what I was thinking.

Hypnorino I have an iPad but I’m pretty sure apple got that idea from android
Yes absolutely ..
Apple user like this guy can't figure out..🤭
@Julien Lindauer They are completely different gestures.
Also with the notes Samsung has 2 not apps (Samsung notes) and (s notes) < you have to download. But its great has everything you would need

Watch paperless student for really detailed comparison this video is like a apple fanboy type
C D The ipad pro does give the same things that you mentioned above
@@ThinhNguyen-vf3mc really? You can translate text or convert notes to text with the Apple Pencil? I hadn't heard that before.

It shows that you know almost nothing about Android or Samsung since the keyboard on Android is fully configurable to your liking, you can make it smaller or floating just like on the iPad, which in fact was a function that Apple copied to Samsung.
Ikr. This guy is purposely complementing the iPad when he doesn't know shit about the s6 lite
the title says ultimate school comparison but it was more like a general comparison. you should have covered more school scenarios to bring out the differences like copying and pasting info from different sources , app availability etc. there was less info. in the video considering it was a 12min comparison.

Seems like you don't really know how to use the Tab S6... However, your video is really great on quality!
tea..
I agree. Hes reviewing something he knows very little about. Like knowing that the pen sticks to the tablet is basic knowledge for this tab
Hello! Aren't these functions available on iPad?
@@justagirl3533 - no. They are not.
Apple fanboys hate this guy!
Hard to do a review when all you care about is making Apple look good .
Agreed. I am using the S6 and agree with all the points you made. It's a great tablet for students.
I don’t know about this, most of it felt like ‘it’s better coz I’m more used to it’ kinda thing going on here. And covering more school based scenarios would’ve been better, 70% of is it just the stylus review. But still good comparison, but could’ve been a bit more.
Yup felt a bit biased.
@@NoahHerman If that's the case include in my opinion
4:31 But costs 180$ while you get the S-Pen for free and it is 50$ if you want to buy it separately.
Btw you can hide the unnecessary buttons, and use gestures on the S6 giving you a good sliver of screen back.
Exactly!
Believe it or not my gen z self was purely a paper and pen person too up until now AND YES the iPad is just amazing :) Thanks for the comment!
Many of my college professors still won't allow any digital devices, not even laptops. It was really disheartening to go to class and have all these old teachers not able to catch up with where we are in society.
@@richarda3764 pfff, what school do you go to? My professor don't give a f.
/Pass

While I love my Ipad for how effortless the games run, I still end up using tab s6 more often
The main reason actually being the smaller details like better file management, availability of 3rd part apps etc
That said if you're the type to work extensibly on your tablet and the apps you require are available on ios then Ipad is the better choice as the apps are just much more finetuned and will run smoother as well thanks to its superior specs (almost double the s6)
On the other hand if your usage is more towards entertainment esp. if you like to mess around with things like emulation and stuff, then tab s6 is a much better choice overall.
Although the Ipad is more powerful, tab s6 has enough power to run everything without an issue
The slight lags at the highest settings in a few demanding apps is honestly just nitpicking
So at the end of the day it'll boil down to which OS you prefer more
Andoid or Ios?

My tab experience for college related work has been awesome. I had the tab 3 10.1 that was the cheap version back in 2015 and my only complain was the lack of ram for the more heavy apps. I'd definitely go for the S6, it just has more options.
so... Hey Noah. Can you believe it: I specifically searched for S6 vs iPad Pro. The usual suspects have done these comparisons - but I automatically clicked on your video first :-) Well done.
I get that you don't use a keyboard, but I think that the keyboard is an important feature for most people that use a tablet for laptop-like tasks.
U can attach the pen to the sides of the galaxy tab too.
The S pen can be placed on the side of the tab S6. Tech reviewers still don't know this. It won't charge but you don't need to charge it if you don't use the bluetooth features of the S pen.
What about palm rejection.
Dang, I'm five minutes in and wanna leave bc I know the Tab s6 has more to offer. The video quality is extremely good tho.
All my life I've been using Windows and Android. I just switched to Apple and it was the best choice I've ever made. Never going back to the pain.
Honestly, the biggest plus point for the iPad is the amount of accessories you can get
Thx for the side-by-side comparison. I decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy S6 with my own accessories. With the extra included the tablet is half the price of the iPad Pro. That's good enough for me :D
The S6 has a Keyboard Cover with Tackpad and it has Mause Support.
The best note taking app is OneNote because it has universal platform and it’s cloud stored so you never have to worry about saving your notes, it’s just saves automatically. You can open your notes on Mac/Windows/iPhone/Android with just logging to your account. Nobody can beat that.
When u write with your left hand ...how do u see what u did write ...coz your hands cover all the text
You don't t need to, at least I don't need
if you have the laptop mode with s6 keyboard it is quite amazing because you can basically minimize countless tabs on it
Couple of questions, Noah...
Actually the tab s6 is a 16:10 display
The keyboard CAN be RESIZED on tab S6 if you want more screen space... Also, if you change to gesture mode for the navigation bar at the bottom, you get more space as well. For the Spen, you CAN stick it either behind OR on top like the apple pencil but you can only charge at the back. I find most reviewers don't know about this spen can stick on the top feature and I wonder if they even play around with their device before they do a review.
It's Android, you can download different keyboards
Plus to me, if your going to compare tablets, then compare them in the following ways:
1. S7/iPad Air
2. S7+/iPad Pro
3. S6/iPad Air
Also, complaining that the S6/S7 screen size is smaller than the iPad Pro is ignorant when you could have compared the S7+ which has a more similar screen size. I personally view the S7 as the iPad air of Samsung and the S7+ as the iPad Pro of Samsung.
This is super bias towards the iPad Pro, I’m honestly kind of disappointed you missed so many features from the Samsung.
Samsung note app has the important function that handwriting converts text, which is good for copying to word processor or something. And,also spen comes with the tablet
The white tip that comes with the S6 will give you a smoother glide on the screen.
Brian Hinton what do you mean
barritoo thy Like when you put the tip on the screen of the Tab it’ll be easier to move it across the screen.
I love my iPad. It has a clean design and that makes me less stress when doing my assignmenta

An 11 or 12 inch tab s6 or s7 would be AMAZING

You can actually stick the tab s6 pen on the top just like the iPad it wont charge tho.
im trying to look for a tablet to draw, and honestly, it seems like the touch with pen in the tab s6 takes forever.

You're right my bad! Both at the current moment are similarly priced HOWEVER the iPad is gonna be a more expensive package as you have to buy the Apple pencil separately ;-;
If you hold the S pen like that your hand will cramp however it is proven that a triangular shape with the correct position of your fingers is more healthy than a round/circular one (sorry I'm not a native speaker I don't know how you say that, the shape of the apple pen). the tip of your pointing and middle fingers should rest on two of the flat sides and your thumb should be on the bottom flat side, this way you are basically just opposing your thumb and you don't create unnecessary tension between your fingerbones. that what you have done when you tried to write with the s pen in a grip like that (it is extremely unhealthy for your joints especially for the wrist if you write like that for a longer time) and holding the pen correctly will also improve your handwriting.
btw it's good to see a left-handed buddy ^^
iPad pro still the best (a12x and 120hz) but the tab s6 is a great value for only 650 with the pen included.
Are there apps like good notes on iPad available on Samsung tab ? For beautiful, precise , aesthetic notes where we can add diagrams and pics and print them out ?
I turned my iPad into my main “computer” for college ever since I got the Apple Pencil/keyboard and got a printer with AirPrint.
Does it totally works like a laptop or macbook? And, how did you do that?
Thanks! I was on the fence between iPad and S6 and I think I’ll go for S6!
Just got a Apple Pencil 2 for my iPad Pro. Thank you for these videos
Let’s just take a moment for those teachers who had to figure out his handwriting lmao
If you put your hand palm on the tablet does it give spots while writing? It does't on the Tab S6 for me this is a dealbreaker.
7:16 it seems so
Ipencil although its more smooth because it is made out of plastic, from what you have said.
Agree
*Writing on Tablet in Class*
Teacher : Why you play with tablet while study?
Do both tabs have palm resistance.?So that we can write like a paper on it or we cannot touch the screen while writing. Does touching the screen while writing will interrupt the writing? Please reply.
I am watching this video from my galaxy tab A😂😂
Which one is better all the time and smooth
