It's over 2 hours long in that form! I checked already. There are a few people that have asked so stay tuned! Thanks so much for tuning in. Part 3 is out now, Part 4 comes out Friday NZ time.
Enjoying this and looking forward to watching the whole trip. I'm a kiwi and have ridden small bikes in Thailand when I lived there, also Taiwan which is excellent but hilly. I'm about to move to Malaysia, so your trip is very easy for me to connect to. Cheers. Rob
Thanks so much for the comment Rob. Is nice to learn of the different connection people have with these videos. Taiwan is on the list but somewhere I’ve not managed to visit yet. Malaysia is a great place and you will be spoilt for choice with bikes both big and small but I highly recommend at least trying out the bigger 150cc Honda/Yamaha underbone bikes. They are good fun to ride. In part 3 we ride into the Cameron highlands and then cross the Thai border.
I just sold my Yamaha Lagenda 115 FI 2015 with 28,000 kilometres on the odometer yesterday for RM3000 exactly. Now I feel like getting another kapchai so that I can travel like you all.

The nice way to travel in Malaysia is by motorcycle (kapcai) not by public transport. Many Malaysian did too. But be careful with traffic. Motorcycle accident is highest in Malaysia too. 🥸✌🏻
In Thailand you need your address verified by your countries embassy to buy a bike. In Malaysia you just have to write an address down on the documents and present it. So no issues at all.
75-85kph most of the time. Sometimes we would sit just above 90KPH but that was very hard work for the 110cc bikes. Long days. 8 hours riding was a normal day.
@@SmallBikeStuffIn 2007 I went around Malaysia on my Suzuki RC80. On the highway it’s full throttle all the way at speed of 105-110 km/h depending flat road or downhill. That was old memories.
Wasn’t a dramatic amount more to buy and sell in the end. But the logistics of it all isn’t for everyone. Plus, many rental companies won’t allow cross country rental and even if they do the documentation to get their bike across the border is more of a hassle for us than just buying a bike and having a document with our name on it. I’ll cover this more in the Q&A. Very good - and entirely valid question.
During my time in the late 90's most of the bikes was 2 stroke. Love the sound on those machine.
I wish we all had 2 strokes it would be so cool.
