I started my solo motorcycle journey Jan 6 2023 ,from HCMC and as of today I have ridden 4,500 km, and I am currently in Sapa. The end of my journey is March 2 , estimating 6,000 km total, it's been an amazing ride, sun, rain, flat tire , great food and new friends 😀
@@DanishDude123 I rented from Tigit for two months and did a total of 7100 km, only one flat tire and NO mechanical issues, cost was 690 usd , I picked up the motorcycle in HCMC and dropped it off in their store in Hanoi .
It's amazing that you two are so brave to conquer Vietnam, I confidently say that Vietnam is the most beautiful in the world, because I have just experienced a journey to the northwest, I wish you both a successful and good trip. Vietnamese people are nice and helpful
Unplanned, unscheduled, go wherever the road takes you no agenda and explore is the best kinda trip. (OK, loosely planned, loosely scheduled...) Vietnamese basic rule of the road is big fish eats small fish, which is the opposite of that in the west. That said, be safe and have a blast, you two. Looking forward to the next part of your adventure.
And that’s exactly what ends up happening, unplanned is our middle name & it just makes for the most amazing experiences that we can’t wait to share more of. Thanks so much for watching🙌🏼
When you drink hot milk coffee with such a filter coffee filter (Vietnamese Type), when you feel you have had enough coffee you like, put the lid of the filter down, turn the bottom face up and then put the coffee container up, so that the table will not be dirty. When you want to reset the filter as before, just lift the filter, pour the excess coffee on the filter cover back. Well done! 15:17
I’m very impressed in both your sense of adventure. I’m trying to do the same as you, driving a motorbike from Saigon to Ha Noi. Btw, people only give you food and stuff if they really like/ respect you. I am enjoying this so far.
Good day to you! This is a senior rider on Honda from Japan. Enjoying camping and video uploading. Your tour video is so great !! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend !!
Ahhh guys this looks like such an incredible adventure! Props to Mitch for driving in those conditions 👏🏼 looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip 😃
13:12 in vietnam it's common to pair coffee with tea, usually ice tea in the south and hot tea in the north, the tea is meant to cleanse your palate after you sip the coffee so the bitter taste doesn't linger and the next sip of coffee will be cleaner.
Glad I got recommended your Channel and I made sure to subscribe you seem to be my new favorite traveling couple to watch thanks for taking us along on your journey
I have been living in Thailand on and off for about 23 years now And I'm planning a trip over to Vietnam for a visa I will be interested to watch your extremely brave and look after yourselves
I accidentally discovered your video. I immediately subscribed to you for following your adventures in my country. I am Vietnamese who lives in Canada 🇨🇦 a long time ago. I am exciting to follow your 2800 km south to north Vietnam. Good luck, stay safe and enjoy your adventure. Big hug from Canada 🇨🇦.
The shop owner asks if you drink coffee with milk? If you go to the shop later, you should order iced coconut water or iced coffee, there is also a pot of tea after drinking all the water in the glass, you can order more ice to drink tea.
That's awesome! Me and 3 friends from the U.S just completed a 2 wks (2000km) ride from Hanoi to Da Lat on the same Honda CB150. It was an adventure of a lifetime for us. Cheers!
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.
You guys are smashing it driving from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi that’s a mad mileage. Mitch you are one hell of a guy that’s a lot of balls to drive in with these traffic and road conditions I give you mad respect.👍🍻🍻
"Part of the organised chaos" that's how I felt in Hanoi at the back end of our trip. What at first looked chaotic, made perfect sense in the end. You never get used to the constant "beep beep" though :)
Good luck. Drive carefully on highway 1A, watch out for the truck & car, have a rest regularly, no rushing and never drive at night time! FYI, highway 1A is very dangerous for motorbike because of the trucks & cars until the freeway from Hanoi to Saigon finish by 2025 then there will be less traffics on highway 1A.
Your Vietnam videos will be the most popular. If you get a chance include some videos of the beaches and Hue, the old capital. I think people will like those.
hope u got an amazing trip in my country. Highway 1A is a shortest way to connected 2 side North and South but it is too crowed and more trucks. That's not the best way to explore, instead u can use satelline in ggmaps to check the local road to avoid highway 1A but still get your destination. Love you
Nice work guys, what a genuine nice couple. I love the excitement in your voices about the new adventures your experiencing. Coming over from Australia at the end of March to do the same thing and I share your excitement. Look forward to the next episodes
I’m commencing a 12 day bike trip with Ride Adventure Tours from Hanoi in April. After watching your video and a few more, I’m so looking forward to it.
Many thanks Jammy, I admire you guys because I'm a Vietnamese but I haven't did like you yet. I have wished. Thanks again & good luck to you guy on your trip
welcome to my country. I subscribed to your channel to follow this amazing journey. I hope you make a lot of videos about the country and its people as well as the customs of each region on this beautiful S-shaped land. Thank you very much. Good luck ❤️
How fun! What an amazing adventure you two are embarking on. I'm so glad you chose to go the less traveled route as I'm all about the scenery and not about busy, chaotic cities. BTW, the coffee they served is the traditional drip coffee using a phin filter (pronounced like "feen"). It's not meant to be chugged down like Starbucks as you go about your hectic day; it's meant for you to enjoy a slower pace of life, relax, and enjoy sipping as you watch the world go by.
Just a bloody brilliant video. The colors were beautiful. The coffee looked really strong. Don't they make a translation device where you talk into it and it speaks the native language?
Thanks so much! Ooh we know of google translate? We’ve used that sometimes to talk into, it just doesn’t work when we don’t have signal which ends up being a lot as we get off the beaten path so much
Riding motorbikes in Vietnam was one of the best things I ever done. It actually led me to getting my full license! However, I experienced a lot of frustration when locals try and charge you when you park your bike at tourist attractions they don't own.
Your bike choice is one of the best balance in durabiliy, fuel efficience , be suitable for most of Viet Nam's roads and have enough power for long rides.

@@TheJammyGits Yes, start the insanity! :)
The shops there, they always give you tea to drink with coffee.
They give you hot tea in winter and tea with ice in summer time.
We started to notice this and really appreciated the tea with the coffee!
Good luck and enjoy your trip. Vietnam is a very safe country to travel
thank you so much :)

biking in vietnam = organized chaos, it looks chaotic but there is a certain understandability of how drivers/riders act and react on the road.
Totally agree!
